Chapter 308 Black Flame and Kai Blackthorn
"Alright, I'm coming over now," Eric said as he jumped down from a tree that was surveying the surroundings and walked towards the rendezvous point.
FlameDancer and the others had already completed the difficult first step, so the rest would depend on luck.
If this task was truly accomplished, then FlameDancer and her team could escape.
As for facing the Darkstar Guild head-on, with their elite force of over three thousand members, that would be a death wish.
"Alright, someone is coming."
Eric, who was traversing through the forest, suddenly noticed some movement not far away with his keen senses. He immediately leaped onto a tree.
Not far from the dense forest to the west, there was actually a hundred-member elite team searching around. Most of them had red names, making them very conspicuous, and they made no attempt to hide. It was hard for Eric not to notice them.
"Sutharos, in this three-way battle between Supremacy Alliance, Devouring Serpents, and Aether Wing, Aether Wing played a significant role. Their combat performance was not to be underestimated, far from what was seen in the videos. If it weren't for Aether Wing suddenly attacking Supremacy Alliance from behind, Supremacy Alliance wouldn't have suffered such a devastating defeat."
"Now, Supremacy Alliance only has a few elite players left. Blood Spear has been constantly cursing RogueVortex for being despicable, but RogueVortex doesn't dare to break ties with him, leaving RogueVortex in a difficult position. Black Flame's move was truly brilliant."
"Not only did it knock Supremacy Alliance out of Silvervale City, cutting off Darkstar Guild's biggest support, but the official post also garnered widespread attention, making the battle between Aether Wing and Supremacy Alliance widely known. Defeating a veteran top-tier guild like Supremacy Alliance with just three thousand people, such a glorious achievement made Guild of Aether Wing famous overnight. It also made Blood Spear hate Darkstar Guild to the core, with a tendency to oppose them."
"What a brilliant strategy, it even makes me admire that Black Flame a bit."
A beautiful female Summoner walking beside Sutharos discussed the battle involving Aether Wing, her words full of wisdom, as if she knew all of Eric's plans.
This woman, around twenty years old, had bright, clear eyes that sparkled like stars, making it hard to tell what she was thinking. Her small cherry-like mouth curved slightly, her eyes forming crescent shapes, exuding a faint aura of elegance and mystery. Her every move radiated a noble and graceful temperament, making people want to take a second look.
"Orchid, you are my The Stygian Alliance's strategist, how can you keep praising others? That Black Flame is just lucky, he's not as smart as you say," Sutharos felt that Orchid was overpraising Black Flame. Black Flame was just an arrogant person, and the trouble caused to Darkstar Guild by Aether Wing's rise to fame was merely a coincidence, nothing to worry about.
"Maybe I'm overthinking it," Orchid smiled, not opposing Sutharos's words.
"Although Aether Wing has gained fame and caused us some trouble, their main force has been trapped here, surrounded on all sides. Even if Aether Wing and Devouring Serpents rush over now, it would be too late. As long as Aether Wing's main force is wiped out, it would be a fatal blow to Aether Wing. Let's see how arrogant Black Flame can be then," Sutharos said with a smug smile.
Guild of Aether Wing had gained its reputation by occupying the top ten spots on the level honor board. Their eight top players were well-known, still holding the top eight spots on the board, unshakable. If these eight were killed and their levels dropped out of the top ten, Aether Wing's previous prestige and fame would be over.
"This could be considered Black Flame's mistake. Players worship the strong, and being number one has great benefits. But if they can't maintain that position, it becomes a sword piercing their heart," Orchid nodded.
As Sutharos and Orchid were talking, an Assassin suddenly spoke in the group chat, "Sutharos, I've found their tracks."
The Assassin class not only excelled in assassination but also in tracking, making them the top choice for hunting players.
"Good, heaven is helping me. Aether Wing's fate will be decided by me. Notify RogueVortex immediately and have them come over quickly. We'll hold them off until everyone arrives, then it will be their end," Sutharos laughed, "It's a pity that Kai Blackthorn isn't here. Otherwise, I would make him regret ever mocking The Stygian Alliance. But Aether Wing's main force will be my gift to him."
"Kai Blackthorn, Sutharos, do you mean the god-level player from Silvervale City, Kai Blackthorn?" Orchid asked with interest.
"Of course, who else would dare to look down on The Stygian Alliance like that? If he hadn't gone into hiding, what god-level player? I'd make him beg for mercy in no time," Sutharos said disdainfully.
Orchid fell into a slight contemplation upon hearing this, then smiled, her eyes showing a hint of joy, as if she had found a new toy, "A Black Flame controlling the situation, a god-level player Kai Blackthorn, this Guild of Aether Wing is quite interesting."
As Sutharos and his team approached FlameDancer and the others, Eric also quietly hid among the dense leaves, waiting for Sutharos and his team to come closer.
"President, we're ready," FlameDancer said in the group chat.
"Alright, FlameDancer, you and a few Assassins sneak over and ambush their healers, keeping a certain distance. Be careful not to be discovered. Although they are low-level and unlikely to have any stealth-breaking skills, we can't rule out the possibility. Once they enter Tonny's attack range, act immediately. We can't let them track us," Eric said quietly.
As soon as Eric spotted Sutharos and his team, he immediately notified FlameDancer to prepare to take them out.
Because this was a critical matter, Eric didn't want Darkstar Guild to discover their destination.
Sutharos's elite team had over a hundred members, all well-equipped with a mix of Bronze Level and Dark Iron gear, most of which were Dark Iron Level. This was definitely Darkstar Guild's main elite force. However, Eric's side also had over thirty people, all experts. Taking out this team quickly was not impossible, especially since he had many group battle tools like intermediate Frostbite Grenades and Tier 1 magic scrolls, which he had distributed to FlameDancer and the others.
Additionally, taking out over a hundred elite members of Darkstar Guild would be a significant loss for them.
Why not do it?
"Leave it to me," FlameDancer said, leading five Assassins to sneak over.
Although Sutharos's team were elite players, their levels were only around 17, with the highest being 18. FlameDancer, on the other hand, was level 21, with excellent skills and equipment, easily sneaking up on their healers.
The other five Assassins were also not weak, all main force members of Aether Wing, equipped with Dark Iron Level gear or higher, and at level 20. They also sneaked over without being detected.
As Sutharos and his team entered the attack range, they were still unaware.
"Kill!"
At Eric's command in the group chat, everyone sprang into action.
