Chapter 364 Hidden Power Strike Master
Eric's punch sent the power testing machine flying, and his kick shattered the marble floor.
Everyone was baffled.
Eric's punch and kick looked so light and effortless, it was hard to believe they could generate such immense power. Yet, it happened, and the force was terrifying.
If that power had been directed at a person, it would have been lethal...
Mark and Michael stared at the cracked marble floor, swallowing hard. Their previous disdain for Eric had turned into deep respect. Now they understood why Katherine had said what she did. If they had really fought him, the outcome would have been obvious.
"This Eric is so infuriating. He's so powerful but kept it hidden, almost making me think he was going to lose," Katherine said, finally breathing a sigh of relief after witnessing Eric's astonishing display.
Matt, standing by the machine, looked at the sweating, slightly flushed Eric in disbelief. A thought crossed his mind, and he couldn't help but ask quietly, "Is this the Hidden Power Strike?"
Matt, well-versed in martial arts, knew that only a master could achieve such a feat with the Hidden Power Strike technique.
"Yeah, it is," Eric nodded, surprised that Matt recognized it.
The Hidden Power Strike is a sophisticated martial arts technique, not a myth or superpower. In his previous life, Eric had spent years learning from various martial arts masters, training tirelessly, and refining his skills through the game Divine Realms: Legends. It was only after mastering control over his body that he finally grasped the technique.
While the Hidden Power Strike is incredibly powerful, it also consumes a lot of energy. Just one strike left Eric feeling fatigued, and he was already on the verge of exhaustion. Another strike might leave him collapsed on the floor.
"Mr. Parker, on behalf of Polaris Reach Fitness Center, I want to thank you for breaking our long-standing power record. According to our rules, Polaris Reach will award you 300,000 credits. Additionally, I'm making an executive decision to grant you a platinum membership at Polaris Reach. This includes a 40% discount on all services and access to a reserved platinum suite for your use," Matt said, almost too excited to speak. He now regarded Eric not as a junior, but as a senior, even changing his form of address.
Matt had loved martial arts since he was a child and had never stopped training. His lifelong goal was to master the Hidden Power Strike, but he had never succeeded. Now, standing before a master of the technique, he couldn't contain his excitement.
In martial arts, age doesn't matter; skill does.
Though Eric was young, mastering the legendary Hidden Power Strike made him a senior in Matt's eyes, deserving of respect.
"Mr. Elliott, when did you become so generous?" Katherine asked, surprised by Matt's respectful tone and the upgrade of Eric's membership to platinum. Polaris Reach had fewer than a hundred platinum members in all of Evergreen City, a true status symbol. Even though she was only a gold member. Breaking a record and being upgraded to platinum was beyond her comprehension.
"You silly girl, Mr. Parker is a true martial arts master. Upgrading him from a regular member to platinum is no big deal. But you knew he was a master and didn't tell me, leaving me unprepared," Matt said, glancing at Katherine. "You mentioned wanting Mr. Parker to train these students. This isn't the best place to talk. Let's go to the lounge and discuss it."
"Mr. Elliott, what about the results of the competition?" Katherine pointed to the test results.
"Of course, Mr. Parker wins. There's no need for the reaction test. The three bottles of Grade S Nutrition Serum will be delivered shortly," Matt said, turning to Mark and Michael. "You two have no objections, right?"
Mark and Michael quickly nodded.
Even someone as skilled as Matt showed Eric great respect, proving Eric's prowess. Continuing the competition would only be humiliating.
"Mr. Parker, the competition is over. Let's go upstairs to the lounge and chat. I have many questions for you," Matt said.
Katherine felt a mix of joy and pride seeing Matt's respect for Eric, as if Eric's success was her own.
After the crowd in the testing hall dispersed, Matt led Eric and Katherine to the lounge on the twenty-first floor.
"Mr. Parker, would you be interested in becoming the head coach at Polaris Reach?" Matt asked seriously. "If you're willing, you can name your terms."
A master of the Hidden Power Strike is incredibly rare, a true martial arts master with high status. Even Matt couldn't easily meet such a person, let alone invite one to Polaris Reach.
Though Polaris Reach was well-known in Evergreen City, it had little recognition outside. It couldn't compare to training centers or gyms with resident martial arts masters.
If Eric, a master of the Hidden Power Strike, joined Polaris Reach, their long-held dream of expanding beyond Evergreen City might soon be realized.
"Mr. Elliott, are you serious?" Katherine was stunned. The head coach position at Polaris Reach was no joke, with more authority than Matt as the manager. Eric was still a college student, albeit a skilled one. She had only wanted to find him a good part-time job to train the students, but now things had escalated beyond her expectations.
"When have I ever joked? I'm very serious. I'm just worried Mr. Parker might not be interested," Matt said, anxious that Eric might leave, causing Polaris Reach to miss their chance to expand.
"The head coach of Polaris Reach?" Eric thought for a moment. "It's not impossible, but I have one condition."
"Name it," Matt said eagerly.
"I want to become a member of the Polaris Reach board of directors and establish a dedicated training area under my full control," Eric said seriously.
