Chapter 38 Twin Serpent Realm

Perilous Goblin's shameless Jet Blasters left everyone stunned.

They had never seen a monster so adept at escaping, and its human-like expressions and actions made it seem less like an NPC and more like a child pretending to be one.

Two red flames shot up, and Perilous Goblin began to slowly ascend.

A feeling of unwillingness overwhelmed everyone, but they were powerless to prevent it. They could only watch helplessly as the Perilous Goblin made its escape. The spellcasters were more than 120 feet away from Perilous Goblin, and Ezio was 90 feet away, out of charge range. Once the target was airborne, the stun effect of the charge was invalid, turning the charge into a simple speed boost.

At this moment, only Eric was the closest, just 45 feet away. However, he had no means of ranged attack. Even if he ran over, the Goblin would already be over 60 feet off the ground. In the end, he could only watch as Perilous Goblin left.

"Nine Dragon Cleave!"

Eric knew he couldn't catch up, so he swung his Abyssal Blade, shrouded in black mist. In an instant, nine streaks of black mist shot out. Witnessing the cunning escape of the Perilous Goblin, Eric couldn't bear to accept it and decided to make one final desperate attempt.

They had thought Perilous Goblin was just an ordinary special elite, but it turned out to be so human-like.

In ten years of battling in Divine Realms: Legends, such an intelligent Goblin was rare. The primary system wouldn't casually grant high intelligence to a minor monster. Perilous Goblin,  having high intelligence, often held deeper meaning, like those human heroes and legendary creatures, all of which were colossal and terrifying.

Although this Perilous Goblin's intelligence didn't reach the level of those heroes and legendary creatures, it was much more intelligent than a Boss. Defeating it might yield unexpected rewards.

At this moment, Perilous Goblin's attributes changed, suddenly becoming Akh'Zamaru.

Akh'Zamaru had Lord-level, which was at Level 5, with HP  600/600.

Eric saw the name and felt it was familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere but couldn't recall.

However, for a Goblin with only 600 HP, he was confident that Nine Dragon Cleave could solve it.

But just as the nine sword shadows were about to pierce Akh'Zamaru, it pulled out several iron balls from a small pack on its back and threw them at the Abyssal Blade's shadows.

Upon contact, they flashed with dazzling sparks.

A series of explosions blasted away the Abyssal Blade's shadows. When the Abyssal Blade's shadows were ready to attack Akh'Zamaru again, it had already flown 90 feet away, and the nine Abyssal Blade shadows could only reach 90 feet.

Eric could only watch as Akh'Zamaru escaped, with no way to stop it.

"Damn, how can there be such a monster? It's so unfair that it can escape like this," Tonny cursed, glaring at the distant Akh'Zamaru.

Cola also gritted his teeth in frustration, punching the tree hard.

The others were equally annoyed.

Everyone had worked so hard to fight this elite monster for so long, and just as they were on the verge of reaping the rewards, the elite monster flew away. Could anything be more frustrating?

"Eric, let's keep chasing," Tonny suggested, noticing that the Goblin's speed wasn't breakneck and that its shoes might run out of fuel soon, possibly landing again.

"Forget it, let's keep farming Roving Goblin." Eric shook his head. If they could chase it, he would have already done so. However, the Goblin's Jet Blasters were too powerful, known as the escape tool in Divine Realms: Legends. Once activated, its speed would suddenly increase and disappear in the blink of an eye. Finding it would be impossible.

Sure enough, after a while, the Jet Blasters' flames surged, and with a whoosh, Akh'Zamaru vanished into the sky, never to be seen again.

"Don't let us meet again. Next time, you won't escape," Tonny said regretfully, looking at where Akh'Zamaru had disappeared.

Eric also felt regretful. However, after this encounter, the Perilous Goblin probably wouldn't show up again, making farming Roving Goblin much safer.

"Let's go, keep farming Roving Goblin," Eric turned to the group and said.

"Eric, you're still the best. Why didn't I think of it? If we kill all of Akh'Zamaru's kind, let's see if it dares to show up again." Tonny laughed, feeling clever.

Eric was speechless and prepared to leave, ignoring Tonny's daydreaming.

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks, stunned.

"We are unlucky. I never thought Akh'Zamaru would appear here, and as a Level 5 Perilous Goblin." Eric clenched his fists, his brows furrowed in anger for the first time.

Seeing him so angry, everyone felt a chill around them and involuntarily stepped back, cold sweat dripping from their foreheads. They had always perceived Eric as approachable and composed, but witnessing his anger was truly terrifying..

It felt like the vibrant forest around them had turned into an icy hell, lifeless, cold, and dark.

"Eric, are you okay?" Tonny was also startled. Eric's anger was unlike any argument he had before. It was the first time Tonny had seen Eric this angry, and he asked cautiously.

"I'm fine," Eric snapped out of it, smiled slightly, and suppressed the intense killing intent in his heart. This killing intent had been slowly cultivated in Divine Realms: Legends and was nothing compared to the Tyrant BearCola ten years later. However, for Tonny and the others now, it was unbearable.

Eric finally remembered the name Akh'Zamaru.

Akh'Zamaru was a renowned master engineer in Divine Realms: Legends. Three years later, Akh'Zamaru created the sky fortress 'Twin Serpent Realm,' which shocked nations and established the Goblin Empire, kicking off the famous expansion pack 'Rise of the New World.' Countless super guilds besieged the sky fortress 'Twin Serpent Realm,' only to be utterly defeated, all because of Akh'Zamaru.

However, despite such a prominent figure appearing before him, Eric remained completely unaware. He failed to seize the opportunity to eliminate it, which only fueled Eric's rage even further.

"Eric, there's a box here. Could it be something Akh'Zamaru dropped during the explosion?" Greedy Gnawer, who had been silent, picked up a metal box from the grass and asked.

Eric took the box and saw Akh'Zamaru's name engraved on one side. He opened it and immediately smiled, "Great, Greedy Gnawer, you did well. We didn't fight in vain after all."

Seeing Eric so happy, everyone knew the item must be precious. Ordinary items wouldn't mean much to Eric.

As for keeping the item for themselves, they never thought of it. They had long idolized Eric, and helping their idol made them happy.

"Alright, you guys stay here and continue farming to level up.. I have some important matters to attend to. Inform me once all of you reach Level 4." Eric put away the metal box and quickly made arrangements. The upcoming tasks required only his presence.

Hearing Eric's words, the group felt a bit reluctant. However, knowing Eric had plans for them after they reached Level 4, they looked forward to it and followed his instructions.

He then left the depths of Darkmoon Valley.

With Tonny's group attack skills, they could handle seven or eight Goblins at a time, leveling up at least two to three times faster than other teams.

Eric, on the other hand, planned to use the metal box to take the first step in his rise in Divine Realms: Legends.
