"Isabella, you see the gap between us now, don't you?" Jake smirked at her from across the room. "You never had a shot at winning this match from the start."
"You're headed for a crushing defeat!"
Isabella stayed silent.
Jake had managed to bring in a top player like GrayWolfSkyborne, which was way beyond what she had anticipated.
Things were spiraling out of her control.
She had hoped that after FierceSnake secured a win, Kai Blackthorn would clinch another, sealing the match for them.

"GrayWolfSkyborne has mastered the Eye of Observation and Second-Stage Acceleration to such a degree that Jake must have learned from him," Eric explained calmly, the only one still composed.
Violet Mistflow suddenly understood.
But Eric's words only hit Isabella and her team harder, leaving them all in silence.
