Chapter 404 The Gap in Foreign Aid

"Isabella, you see the gap between us now, don't you?" Jake smirked at her from across the room. "You never had a shot at winning this match from the start."

"You're headed for a crushing defeat!"

Isabella stayed silent.

Jake had managed to bring in a top player like GrayWolfSkyborne, which was way beyond what she had anticipated.

Things were spiraling out of her control.

She had hoped that after FierceSnake secured a win, Kai Blackthorn would clinch another, sealing the match for them.

But now...

With two matches left, even if Kai Blackthorn won, it would only tie the score at 2-2. They had no more top players left.

"Kai Blackthorn, what's happening?" Violet Mistflow's eyes widened as she watched GrayWolfSkyborne's almost magical moves. "How does he know those techniques?"

"GrayWolfSkyborne has mastered the Eye of Observation and Second-Stage Acceleration to such a degree that Jake must have learned from him," Eric explained calmly, the only one still composed.

Violet Mistflow suddenly understood.

But Eric's words only hit Isabella and her team harder, leaving them all in silence.

If SpiritSnake and FlyingSerpent had also learned such techniques...

"Haha, you're right. SpiritSnake and FlyingSerpent have both learned them, and they're even more skilled than I am," Jake laughed, seeing the expressions on Isabella and her team's faces. "Now, Isabella, you see, you have no chance. Besides, the two people you brought in are only level 22. Even if they have some skills, how can they compare to the significantly improved SpiritSnake and FlyingSerpent? Isabella, you should just admit defeat now to avoid an even more embarrassing loss."

SpiritSnake and FlyingSerpent's eyes shifted to Eric and Violet Mistflow, filled with disdain.

"How boring. The final opponents are them? I won't even get to test my skills," FlyingSerpent sighed in disappointment. "If I were up against Isabella, I might at least get to show some of my strength."

"I heard that Kai Blackthorn is pretty good. He was the first player to enter Silvervale City and even defeated over a hundred players alone in the early days of Divine Realms: Legends. He should give you a decent warm-up," Jake said, looking at Eric.

"That's right. Don't underestimate Kai Blackthorn. I've watched his battle videos. Although everyone's levels were low back then, you could tell from his moves that he has a solid martial arts foundation. Even though he hasn't mastered the Eye of Observation, you should still be careful," GrayWolfSkyborne added.

GrayWolfSkyborne rarely spoke, except during training, so his words naturally drew everyone's attention.

"Him?" SpiritSnake looked at Eric, who showed no sign of intimidation, and smirked. "GrayWolfSkyborne, you're overthinking it. We've been trained by you. I alone can easily take him down."

When SpiritSnake joined Jake's side, he had no idea that many martial arts techniques could be applied in Divine Realms: Legends.

At first, SpiritSnake had no interest in joining, believing Isabella's combat skills were what he sought. But after losing miserably to GrayWolfSkyborne, he realized he was just a frog in a well.

It was like an ordinary person suddenly encountering Superman.

Superman is just a fantasy, science fiction, impossible to exist.

But now, SpiritSnake was told such things were real, and the impact on him was immense...

So SpiritSnake joined Jake's side without hesitation and received special training from GrayWolfSkyborne, eventually mastering the Eye of Observation after much time and effort.

After mastering the Eye of Observation, SpiritSnake deeply understood the vast gap between him and GrayWolfSkyborne.

If Isabella was the peak of human skill, then mastering the Eye of Observation took him beyond human limits. They were on entirely different levels.

Top experts? Great masters?

In SpiritSnake's eyes, they were jokes.

"SpiritSnake, you're talking too much. Since GrayWolfSkyborne said to be careful, there must be a reason. Whoever faces Kai Blackthorn must give it their all, understood?" Jake scolded SpiritSnake.

"Yeah, I get it," SpiritSnake quickly lowered his head, no longer mocking.

The lineup for the fourth match was announced.

Fourth match: Kai Blackthorn vs. FlyingSerpent!

"Haha, awesome! Since GrayWolfSkyborne said to be careful of Kai Blackthorn, I'll use him to test how much my skills have improved," FlyingSerpent said excitedly as he walked to the arena.

FlyingSerpent wasn't a big guy; he was lean but muscular, like a cheetah ready to pounce. Among them, GrayWolfSkyborne had the highest hopes for FlyingSerpent, not only for his combat talent but also for his learning ability. He mastered the Eye of Observation in less than half the time it took the others and was a natural-born fighter.

Under GrayWolfSkyborne's training, he improved rapidly, becoming the undisputed number one in the Devouring Serpents.

If Jake hadn't wanted to keep FlyingSerpent's strength hidden, he would have already made it to the top player rankings, preventing RedFeather from the Stellar Alliance from being so arrogant.

"Kai Blackthorn, are you confident?" Isabella asked as Eric was about to enter the arena. "If not, just forfeit. You're a key member of the Guild of Aether Wing. Losing a level isn't worth it."

"This match is my oversight. I didn't expect Jake to have such a monster on his side, not only incredibly strong but also boosting FlyingSerpent and SpiritSnake's skills significantly."

"I'll compensate you five million credits for any losses."

To Isabella, Kai Blackthorn's strength was certainly above FlyingSerpent's. But knowing FlyingSerpent had improved so much, she doubted even she could win. How much stronger could Kai Blackthorn be?

"A promise is a promise. Since Ms. Collins asked me to come, and I agreed, how could I back out now?" Eric smiled calmly and walked into the arena.

"Is this Kai Blackthorn crazy?" Scarlet fumed. "Didn't he see how powerful GrayWolfSkyborne was?"

"Even if FlyingSerpent has been trained by GrayWolfSkyborne, he might not be as strong, but he's close. Charging in now is just suicide!"

"Alright, Scarlet, everyone has their own principles and ways of doing things. It's my fault for asking Kai Blackthorn to fight," Isabella said, then looked at Eric in the arena, feeling conflicted.

But as Isabella and Scarlet worried, Violet Mistflow smiled and said, "Since Kai Blackthorn agreed, he'll definitely follow through. Don't worry."

Isabella and Scarlet turned to Violet Mistflow, puzzled by her confidence in Kai Blackthorn.

But Violet Mistflow just smiled without explaining.

Only she knew that the real headache was for the other side, not theirs, because FlyingSerpent was about to face Eldoria's top player, 'The One-Blade Reaper.'
