Chapter 379 Awakening
Eric's question left Sharon momentarily stunned. She blinked her beautiful eyes, looking at Eric with a mix of surprise and confusion.
"What do you mean by a high-level inheritance?"
For any Heaven's Favored, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Even ten Epic Level items couldn't compare to such a chance. Despite being the administrator of Starview Tower, Sharon had paid a great price to obtain a high-level inheritance.
But Eric wanted to give up this opportunity for someone else...
"The inheritance from Starview Tower can't be transferred to others. If you don't want it, I can give you an Epic Level item as compensation," Sharon said, shaking her head.
Hearing about the Epic Level item, Eric was slightly tempted. But he still wasn't satisfied.
"Sharon, is it possible to exchange the high-level inheritance for a favor from you?" Eric asked again.
"A favor?" Sharon's lips curled into a smile. "Do you even know the value of a high-level inheritance? And you want to exchange it for a favor? Do you want me to..."
Seeing Sharon's slightly blushing cheeks, Eric quickly clarified, "Don't get the wrong idea. I just need your help to awaken something. It requires a fourth-tier profession to do so."
"Awaken something?" Sharon's interest was piqued. She looked Eric up and down, especially eyeing the bag at his waist with curiosity. "I don't see anything in you that needs awakening. Are you talking about that droopy dragon at your waist?"
Eric's heart skipped a beat. Sharon could indeed see the items in his backpack, which explained why she always managed to drain his money whenever they met.
"Has she not noticed?" Eric wondered, feeling something was off. If Sharon could see his backpack, why couldn't she recognize the Sword in the Stone's significance? Even he, a zero-tier player, could see it. How could a fourth-tier Divine Officiant not?
Eric took the Sword in the Stone out of his backpack. Sharon's playful smile vanished as she stared at the sword in Eric's hand, her eyes filled with confusion.
"What is this thing that it can evade my Divine Eye?" Sharon was astonished. Even now, looking at the Sword in the Stone, her Divine Eye couldn't detect it, as if it didn't exist.
Divine Eye was a high-level third-tier detection magic, capable of seeing through even Legendary Level items. But the Sword in the Stone...
"Can I take a closer look?" Sharon asked, her curiosity piqued.
Eric handed the Sword in the Stone to Sharon. She cast over a dozen spells on it, each time her expression growing more serious.
"This thing is really something. Looks like I need to use my true power," Sharon said with a smile, unleashing a terrifying magical force that enveloped the entire room in her holy light domain.
Golden magic circles appeared on the floor and ceiling. Eric felt an immense pressure, unable to move, the power surpassing even the fourth-tier Sky Piercer spell used by Wiseman against the Mechanical Slaughterer.
Eric finally understood Sharon's prowess. No wonder she could casually offer him the right to establish a city.
But the two-layered magic circle wasn't the end. Sharon continued drawing divine runes, layer after layer, until the two-layered circle became four, then six.
The entire room was wrapped in magic circles. Even Wiseman's fourth-tier Sky Piercer only required a four-layered circle, but this spell needed six, indicating it was at least a top-tier fourth-tier spell.
Eric didn't understand what Sharon was doing, but he was glad he had found the right person. Sharon's status in Starview Tower must be high, possibly able to mobilize the fourth-tier professionals.
The Sword in the Stone floated in mid-air, absorbing the divine runes Sharon drew. After several minutes, golden runes flew from the sword into Sharon's hand, forming a golden light ball. The magic circles dissipated, and the Sword in the Stone fell back into Sharon's hand.
But Sharon didn't examine the sword. Instead, she focused on the light ball in her hand.
"How is this possible?" Sharon muttered in disbelief, "Even a top-tier fourth-tier spell like Rune Appraisal can't analyze it."
"I underestimated you. You brought out something I can't decipher, even with all my power. How did you know this thing needs a fourth-tier profession to awaken?" Sharon asked, looking at Eric.
"I... I just used the Omniscient Eye," Eric replied, puzzled.
"Omniscient Eye! That's impossible. I used it before and couldn't analyze it," Sharon shook her head, then suddenly realized something. "Did you get the Golden Holy Mark?"
"Yes," Eric nodded.
"No wonder," Sharon smiled. "With the Golden Holy Mark, the Omniscient Eye is second only to the Eye of Truth in Divine Realms: Legends. Crystal Palace was generous to give you the Golden Holy Mark."
"So, how do we awaken this thing?" Sharon pointed to the Sword in the Stone.
"It requires twenty-one Magic Source Stones and the power of three fourth-tier professionals," Eric explained, recounting what the Omniscient Eye had shown him.
"Do you have twenty-one Magic Source Stones? Even I don't have that many," Sharon's eyes sparkled as she extended her hand. "Hand them over."
"I... I only have twenty-one," Eric said, sweating.
"Do you think I'm going to rob you?" Sharon rolled her eyes. "Relax, I just want to awaken the sword's power."
"We need three fourth-tier professionals," Eric reminded her as he reluctantly handed over the Magic Source Stones.
"I know, but do you think other fourth-tier professionals have the time and energy for this?" Sharon said, exasperated. "This sword is extraordinary. Luckily, you found me. Otherwise, even if you found three fourth-tier professionals, they wouldn't awaken it for you, not even for a piece of Legendary Level item."
