Chapter 213 Warlock Saru

"Karul is down. We won."

"What kind of skill was that? It was terrifying."

Seeing Karul turned into charcoal, the surviving members couldn't help but swallow hard. The move Eric used was unheard of, as if he was wielding a miniature sun instead of a sword. The scorching heat could be felt even from over 90 feet away, causing a stinging and burning sensation on their skin.

The damage Eric dealt was even more shocking. Six hits, none of which were below 2000 points, and two of them even exceeded 4000 points. It was the most powerful skill they had ever seen.

Thornheart's mouth dropped open. He knew Eric was strong, but he didn't expect him to be this strong.

WhisperbladeWraith was also taken aback.

He had thought they wouldn't make it, but Eric's move blasted the level 12 chieftain Karul into the air and instantly dealt over ten thousand points of damage, the strongest output he had ever seen. WhisperbladeWraith's gaze toward Eric became even more fervent, wishing Eric could join the guild right then and there.

SereneSunrise reacted quickly, knowing this was the best time to get closer to Eric. She walked over to Eric and, pretending to be excited, grabbed his hand.

"Eric, that move was amazing. What skill was that? I've never seen it before," SereneSunrise said softly, her long eyelashes fluttering and her eyes filled with a hint of admiration. Her delicate appearance could stir a protective instinct in men.

"Pyroblast Burst, it's a universal special skill for all classes," Eric replied casually, feeling the warmth and softness of SereneSunrise's hand but not thinking much of it. He just assumed she was very excited.

"A special skill? That's a shame. I was hoping you could take me along to farm," SereneSunrise said, feeling a bit deflated. Special skills were rare and couldn't be farmed easily. It made sense, though; such a powerful skill wouldn't be easy to obtain.

"Let's check the loot." Seeing SereneSunrise's disappointment, Eric said with a smile.

Eric's reminder brought everyone back to the fact that they had just defeated the chieftain Karul, and the loot was bound to be plentiful. Eric's move had been so shocking that they had momentarily forgotten.

The healers began to revive their companions, and once everyone was back on their feet, WhisperbladeWraith started to collect the loot.

Karul dropped five pieces of equipment, all Dark Iron Equipment, which was more than the two to three pieces usually dropped by a 10-man raid boss. There was a level 10 shield, a level 10 Ranger's longbow, a level 10 Berserker's chest armor, a level 10 healing staff, and a level 10 Swordsman's chest armor. Each person also got 32 copper, which was a decent haul.

Since Eric and the Assassin's Alliance had an agreement, the Galestorm chest armor went directly to Eric, and the remaining equipment was distributed according to class or output.

Galestorm, chest plate armor, Dark Iron Level, equipment level 10, class restriction: Swordsman, defense +83, strength +7, agility +10, stamina +6, part of the Galestorm Outfit (1/6).

The Galestorm set could enhance damage by 10% when two pieces were collected, increased attack speed and movement speed by 15% when four pieces were collected, ignoreing level differences and granting a +3 level bonus when all six pieces weree worn. Besides, it provided a 15% chance to increase attack power by 50 points for 20 seconds when attacking.

The Galestorm set had significant attribute and set bonuses. If someone could complete the Galestorm Outfit, it would be top-tier equipment for the current stage. However, completing the set wouldn't be easy.

Eric didn't rush to change into the Galestorm chest armor because doing so would nullify the Silver Moon set bonus. He planned to wait until he had three or four pieces before switching.

After distributing the equipment, the group moved on to the next boss.

With MistLake now equipped with a level 10 Dark Iron shield, their defense and health had increased significantly, making it easier to clear the smaller mobs. In less than 10 minutes, they reached a coliseum hall.

In the coliseum stood a half-orc Assassin named Morlock, the second boss of Orgrim Forgeworks.

Morlock, the chieftain, level 12, had 400,000 health points.

Although Morlock had fewer health points than Karul, he was harder to deal with. Unlike Karul, Morlock was an Assassin, always elusive in battle, ignoring aggro, and possessing three skills that frustrated players.

The first skill was Armor Sunder, which stacked with each attack. For plate armor classes, this was deadly. At ten stacks, defense dropped to zero, which was self-explanatory. Even a tank with 2000 health points could be taken down in two or three hits. With the Assassin's fast attack speed, healers might not have time to heal the tank before they fell.

The only consolation was that Armor Sunder's duration was short, about thirty seconds. As long as they switched tanks at five stacks, they could manage.

The second skill was Feast of Carnage, which dealt sixteen attacks to all enemies within an 8-yard radius. During this time, Morlock was invincible, and the sixteen attacks would be done within two seconds. If only two tanks were nearby, they would certainly die, so the damage had to be shared, putting immense pressure on the healers.

The third skill was Vanishing Strike, a random ambush on a player. Players with ordinary equipment were almost guaranteed to die. Only plate armor classes would have a chance of surviving Morlock's ambush.

As everyone looked to Eric for guidance on how to tackle the boss, Eric didn't immediately explain the strategy. Instead, he had a healer and two tanks deal with Morlock first as a test, as he couldn't explain the strategy otherwise.

After a few attempts, Eric began to explain the initial strategy. It was quite simple actually. All plate armor classes would act as tanks, switching roles as needed. Morlock's attacks weren't high initially, only becoming dangerous with stacked Armor Sunder effects. So, any plate armor class could tank the initial attacks.

The same approach applied to dealing with Feast of Carnage.

In short, the strategy for this boss was straightforward, which was to gang up on him.

Eight minutes later, the second boss, Morlock, was down, thanks to Eric's prowess.

Eric almost single-handedly tanked Morlock, as his dodging was so agile that Morlock rarely hit him.

However, this also reduced Eric's damage output.

With Eric as a stable tank, the healers had an easy time, making the boss fight simpler. The only unlucky ones were the cloth armor classes who fell victim to Morlock's Vanishing Strike.
