Chapter 107 Moment of Glory
With the demise of the Kobold King, the fear that had gripped everyone dissipated, allowing them to move freely once again.
However, at this point, only six members of the team were still alive.
A sense of astonishment washed over everyone as they beheld the sight of the Kobold King sprawled on the ground.
Even Isabella was puzzled. In theory, they shouldn't have survived in a state of fear, so how did the Kobold King die?
Seeing the severely wounded Eric next to the Kobold King, Isabella suddenly understood.
It must have been Eric who took down the Kobold King.
The rest were too stunned to utter a single word. How did Eric manage to kill the severely wounded Kobold King in such a state?
"Eric, you're amazing! You managed to take down the Boss even in that condition. You're my idol!" Tonny said excitedly, looking at Eric with admiration.
Clearing the Infernal-level Shadowmoon Graveyard for the first time was definitely an exhilarating moment. It meant their names would be permanently etched on the honor board. Any future players who conquered the Shadowmoon Graveyard would see their names and hold them in high regard. It would be hard for them not to become famous.
"Alright, let's revive everyone." Sitting on the ground, Eric wasn't too excited. He just pointed to the fallen members, indicating they shouldn't be left lying there.
The shocked Isabella snapped out of it and looked at the only surviving healer, Judy, saying, "Judy, revive them quickly."
Judy nodded and began casting her resurrection spell.
A few minutes later, she had finally brought everyone back to life one by one.
After being revived, Scarlet asked in a dazed manner, "Judy, did we get wiped out?"
"No, we made it," Judy replied with a slight smile.
"So we did get wiped out after all," Scarlet shook her head, feeling a bit regretful. If everyone had the skills to break free from control, they wouldn't have been wiped out, and they wouldn't have had to watch as the severely wounded Kobold King claimed the final victory.
Judy couldn't help but laugh. If she hadn't seen the Kobold King die with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed it either. She roared, "Scarlet, the Boss is already dead."
"Impossible. None of us have the skills to break free from fear," Scarlet said confidently. "Even if we waited until the fear wore off, the remaining people couldn't have taken down the Boss."
"If you don't believe me, look over there. The Kobold King was killed by Eric. You don't know how dangerous it was for Eric at that moment. He made a desperate final strike, intending to go down with the Kobold King. Eric's health was down to just 16 points; he was so close to being done for," Judy said, pointing to the Kobold King's corpse in the distance, her words tinged with admiration for Eric.
Scarlet turned her head to look.
Sure enough, it was the Kobold King's corpse.
Scarlet tilted her head, her captivating eyes carefully examining Eric's back. She found Eric to be truly mysterious. His previous commands were like those of a seasoned general, each instruction spot-on, even specifying where to stand. It was unbelievable for someone who seemed like a casual player. Even the guild leaders who frequently led dungeon raids weren't this precise.
Now, he had emerged victorious over the Kobold King, showcasing remarkable skill.
His observational skills, command abilities, and combat techniques were all top-notch, completely shattering her previous perception of Eric.
"What an infuriating guy。" Scarlet bit her lip lightly, looking at Eric with displeasure. She couldn't shake the feeling that Eric had been toying with her all along, and she secretly longed to give him a few bites to release her pent-up frustration.
But Scarlet only thought about it; she couldn't really do it.
Once everyone was gathered, Eric began sorting through the Kobold King's loot.
Everyone's eyes were glued to the items that had dropped.
These were items dropped by the Infernal-level Shadowmoon Graveyard Boss, so they were undoubtedly valuable.
"I've sorted everything. There are a total of 8 pieces of equipment and six items, including two Mithril Level Weapons: a Level 5 greatsword and a Level 5 shield. There are also two pieces of Mithril Level miscellaneous equipment: one for a Priest and one for a Swordsman. The remaining four pieces of equipment are all Dark Iron Qutfir. If more than one person needs the same item, we'll roll for it," Eric briefly introduced the items and shared the loot data with everyone.
Runeblade of the Ancients, a two-handed sword, Mithril Level, Level 5 required, 30 strength required, 45 attack power, +9 strength, +8 stamina, +1 attack speed, 10% chance to cause a critical hit and 10% chance to break armor.
Runic Aegis, Mithril Level, Level 5 required, 23 strength required, 69 defense, 35% block rate, +6 strength, +10 stamina, comes with the skill 'Shield of Resilience,' reducing frontal damage by 30% for 10 seconds, 2-minute cooldown.
As they beheld the attributes of these items, everyone was left in a state of utter astonishment. Each piece of equipment was top-tier, and the Runeblade of the Ancients and Runic Aegis were the best of the best. If sold, each would be worth at least 80 silver.
However, no one was willing to sell these items. With such excellent equipment, leveling up would become much easier, and only a fool would consider parting with them.
Then, everyone started rolling for the equipment.
The Runeblade of the Ancients ultimately went to Isabella, the Runic Aegis to Cola, and Eric got a Mithril Level shoulder piece, significantly boosting his stats.
"Next are these other items. We'll auction them within the team; the highest bidder wins," Eric said.
Hearing this, the members of Devouring Serpents felt a bit embarrassed.
They knew the other items were even more valuable than the equipment, especially the dazzling broken blade named Blade of Ashes. Just reading its description was thrilling.
There was also a high-level Whetstone of Precision blueprint and other rare materials, each worth a fortune.
But without Eric, they wouldn't have cleared the Infernal-level Shadowmoon Graveyard or obtained so much top-tier equipment, giving them a significant lead over other guilds.
Now, they felt it wouldn't be right to compete with Eric.
Isabella naturally considered this and wanted to bring Eric into Devouring Serpents, so she wanted to build a closer relationship with him. She looked at Eric and said, "You deserve the most credit for clearing Shadowmoon Graveyard. You can have the rest of the items. We Devouring Serpents have already gained a lot, and I haven't even had a chance to thank you."
The other Devouring Serpents members nodded in agreement.
Eric was slightly surprised. He didn't expect Isabella to give up the competition voluntarily. Although he wasn't afraid of competing, his backpack was full of gold coins, enough to buy the high-level Whetstone of Precision blueprint and Blade of Ashes.
Since Isabella wasn't competing, he didn't hold back and put everything into his backpack.
With the dungeon cleared and the items distributed, Eric made his way to a corner of the crypt and activated the portal mechanism.
Everyone stepped into the teleportation array one by one, disappearing from the crypt hall.
After everyone left the Shadowmoon Graveyard, several announcements appeared.
