Chapter 319 Wind Rider
After Eric took on the one-star guild quest, he led the group to the Dawn Holy Temple.
The Dawn Holy Temple is a favorite place for all healing professions.
Here, Priests, Oracles, and Druids can take on various tasks to learn advanced skills. By completing these tasks, they can acquire higher-level skills.
"Guild Master, why are we here?" FlameDancer asked, puzzled.
"To find some help," Eric replied with a slight smile, not elaborating further.
Upon entering the hall of the Dawn Holy Temple, they were surrounded by elite guards at level 180. Under the statue of the goddess in the hall stood a level 200 red-robed Divine Officiant.
The Divine Officiant is the profession Oracles advance to at the second tier. For Eric and his group, a level 200 Divine Officiant was an awe-inspiring presence. However, this red-robed Divine Officiant approached Eric proactively upon seeing him.
"Hello, Viscount," the red-robed Divine Officiant greeted warmly.
"Honorable Divine Officiant, hello. I would like to purchase some Water for Life. Do you have any here?" Eric asked softly.
Water for Life is a healing elixir drawn from the Spring of Eternal Life. It can instantly heal any injury and even regenerate severed limbs. It is extremely precious, especially for NPCs.
The Dawn Holy Temple has always worshipped the Goddess of Dawn, and the Spring of Eternal Life is a divine gift from the Goddess of Dawn to the temple.
In the entire Divine Realms: Legends, only the Dawn Holy Temple has access to Water for Life.
"Viscount, Water for Life is extremely precious. It is a gift from the Goddess of Dawn to humanity. Every drop is a treasure, and I, as a Divine Officiant, cannot give it away lightly. I hope you understand," the red-robed Divine Officiant said, somewhat angrily. However, considering Eric's high status as a viscount of Silvervale City, he restrained his anger. If it were any other player, they would have been thrown out of the hall by now.
Eric was well aware of this.
Although he had anticipated that his status as a viscount would not be enough to obtain Water for Life, being rejected so bluntly was still a bit of a blow.
"Is there no other way?" Eric immediately used the Holy Mark, looking at the red-robed Divine Officiant.
Eric's starry eyes glowed with golden light, exuding a terrifying aura that made even the red-robed Divine Officiant tremble from the depths of his soul.
"You are..." The red-robed Divine Officiant, as the manager of the Dawn Holy Temple, knew many things.
The Holy Mark is the highest symbol of the Crystal Palace, divided into silver, gold, and purple. Anyone who possesses the Golden Holy Mark is definitely a core member of the Crystal Palace.
"Is this still not enough?" Eric was uncertain.
To purchase Water for Life from the Dawn Holy Temple, one needed a sufficiently high human status. Eric was not entirely sure what level was required, but someone like Wiseman, who controlled an entire city, could definitely buy it.
Since Eric was not a city lord, he could only rely on other identities to try. If it didn't work, he would have to find other help and come back to buy Water for Life when his status was higher.
After struggling for a long time, the red-robed Divine Officiant finally said, "Viscount, your status is indeed high enough to purchase one drop."
"Great, I'll take it," Eric said, slightly excited.
However, the people behind Eric were puzzled. It was just a drop of Water for Life, yet even the usually calm guild master was excited. Could this drop of Water for Life be an Epic Level item?
"Please pay 300 gold," the red-robed Divine Officiant said, carefully taking out a small crystal bottle containing a drop of deep blue liquid.
Rosewater was shocked to hear that buying Water for Life cost 300 gold, and the others were stunned.
But Eric was not surprised at all. He quickly took out 300 gold and handed it to the red-robed Divine Officiant, looking as if he had made a great deal.
Rosewater, who had initially thought 300 gold was an outrageous price that no guild could afford, was speechless when she saw Eric hand over the gold without hesitation. Although she knew Eric was wealthy, she had not expected him to be this rich.
"No wonder the guild master said 30 gold was cheap," SnowGoose finally understood Eric's words.
Compared to 300 gold, 30 gold was indeed nothing.
With 300 gold, one could easily equip a hundred-member elite team with Dark Iron Equipment.
"How deep is he hiding? How many things about the Guild of Aether Wing do I not know?" Rosewater thought, looking at Eric with a complex expression.
If RogueVortex of the Darkstar Guild knew about this, he would probably regret opposing Aether Wing.
Guild wars were all about financial power.
The financial power that the Darkstar Guild prided itself on was nothing compared to Eric's.
However, Rosewater did not know that if the Darkstar Guild really wiped out Aether Wing's main force, Eric would be in trouble. Tonny held an Epic Level staff, and the others had excellent Obsidian Level items. If the Darkstar Guild got their hands on these, the consequences would be unimaginable.
After obtaining the Water for Life, Eric immediately headed to a shabby house in a civilian area of Silvervale City.
In this house lived a down-and-out middle-aged man with a severed arm. This man had lost his arm in a battle with demons, turning from a powerful second-tier Sword Master into an ordinary civilian.
This man's name was Kyle Franklin. Even before losing his arm, Kyle was not well-known in Eldoria, just an ordinary second-tier Sword Master.
The reason Eric sought him out was because of Kyle's potential.
In Divine Realms: Legends, five years after its launch, Kyle would be known by another name.
Wind Rider!
No one would have guessed that a one-armed man living in the civilian area of Silvervale City would grow into a fifth-tier titled Sword Saint after becoming a player's personal guard. Even more surprising, Wind Rider's master was a casual player with mediocre skills, just a life player.
With this fifth-tier titled Sword Saint by his side, no one dared to mess with this casual player, not even top-tier guilds at the time.
Many top-tier and super guilds offered sky-high prices to recruit Kyle, and their offers were higher than those for ordinary fifth-tier peak experts.
NPCs are different from players. NPCs of the same level are stronger than players, and a titled fifth-tier Sword Saint is even stronger than other fifth-tier Sword Saints. In terms of rank, a titled Sword Saint is like a fifth-and-a-half tier, only surpassed by sixth-tier god-level players.
"Honorable Viscount, what brings you here?" Kyle asked, neither humble nor arrogant, as Eric entered the house. Despite his low status and being a cripple, his attitude was completely different from the red-robed Divine Officiant Eric had met at the Dawn Holy Temple.
