Chapter 28 The Terror of Infernal Level

The elite defenders all died, leaving only Boss Wilmy on the empty lawn. At this moment, Wilmy was lying on the ground, sleeping, occasionally scratching his back, not caring about the disappearance of his subordinates.

"Everyone, take a break first, and I will explain Wilmy's strategy later," Eric prepared to let everyone relax first. Dealing with Wilmy wouldn't be easy, requiring each player to be highly focused. One mistake could lead to everyone's demise.

Upon hearing Eric's command, everyone settled down, engaging in eating and drinking to restore their vitality.

With a wave of his finger, Eric brought up the attribute panel.

Having just reached level 2, Eric had two extra attribute points due to the Abyssal Blade. He could make more attribute choices than ordinary players.

An initial swordsman with an agility of 20 points would suffice, but he decided to increase it to 30 points first. With an agility of 30 points, the body's flexibility would also increase.

He then added the remaining points to strength to counter Boss.

Equipped with three Bronze Equipment, a Dark Iron Level ring, and a Demonic Weapon, his attributes met Eric's requirements.

Character: Kai Blackthorn (Human)

Kingdom: Eldoria

Title: Thousand Rider

Occupation: Swordsman

Level: Level 2

Health: 520/520

Attack: 88

Defense: 39

Attack Speed: 15

Movement Speed: 13

Attributes: Strength 32, Agility 30, Endurance 24, Intelligence 13, Spirit 13.

With these attributes, facing Wilmy became more manageable.

Seeing that everyone's status had been restored, Eric began to explain, "Wilmy has two major skills. One is Feast of Carnage, which randomly attacks nearby players regardless of hate. Tonny and Ezio, be careful of positioning. The other is Claws of Death. Cola, you must stay away from the Boss in advance. Ezio, be ready to interrupt. I will remind you when the time comes. Additionally, Wilmy is an intelligent foe and does not adhere to a fixed attack pattern. Once that's done, there's nothing left. Cola, get ready to pull the Boss."

"Eric, aren't there any other things to pay attention to?" Tonny walked up to Eric and asked softly.

This was the Infernal-level Silent Grove Dungeon. Everyone was not an expert, but Eric's explanation was so simple that even Tonny felt that defeating this Boss was easy. However, so many elite teams had died at the Command level; how could the Infernal level be simple?

"Captain, aren't there any details to pay attention to?"

Concerned expressions adorned the faces of the others. They all observed Eric with hopeful eyes, yearning for further guidance and clarification. As novice players, many aspects remained unclear to them, elements that Eric, as a seasoned professional, might consider obvious but weren't apparent to them.

Elites were different from Bosses. Other elite teams were wiped out, definitely by the Boss. Despite their superior equipment compared to those teams, they remained level 1 novice players who were acutely aware of their own limitations.

"You're overthinking it. Relax. I will tell you directly what to do and at what time. You don't need to worry. Cola, go aggro when you're ready; remember to dodge; one heal won't be enough to keep up with the Boss's damage." Eric smiled, finding these teammates quite interesting. They were even more serious and meticulous than he had imagined. In his past life as the president of ShadowForge Studios, he had conquered numerous Infernal-level dungeons, including raids with hundreds of people. How could he not guide novice players to defeat a small Boss?

Cola had no choice but to charge in.

As soon as Cola entered Wilmy's detection range, Wilmy suddenly jumped up, looking at Cola with a drooling mouth, the two steel claws intertwined, sparking, showing Wilmy's murderous intent. Raising its claws high in anticipation, Wilmy eagerly charged towards Cola.

"Greedy Gnawer is casting a spell. All DPS get ready to attack Wilmy's arms," Seeing the fierce Wilmy, Eric said continuously.

As soon as Eric finished speaking, Wilmy arrived in front of Cola, who couldn't react in time. The claws descended towards Cola's head.

Cola instinctively raised his shield to block the steel claws, which sparked three brilliant sparks on the iron shield, leaving three claw marks. Due to the huge impact, Cola took five or six steps back before stabilizing himself, with a significant 103 points of damage to his head.

Before Cola could attack Wilmy, Wilmy swung the steel claws again, this time completely knocking the shield and Cola flying, dealing another 105 points of damage. At this point, Greedy Gnawer's healing finally landed, restoring 43 health points, which was negligible compared to the damage taken.

Everyone was shocked. The speed and damage of the Boss were too terrifying. If Cola hadn't had two pieces of Bronze Equipment and had used his shield to block, these two attacks would have depleted his health bar.

"Ezio charges at Wilmy; Tonny uses Diabolic Lash!" Eric had anticipated this and had Tonny use a restraining skill.

Ezio reacted quickly, charging to block Wilmy's next attack, saving Cola's life.

However, Ezio's attack only caused 11 points of damage to Wilmy. Even with two pieces of Bronze Equipment and most of his attributes added to strength, he only dealt this minimal damage, while the Boss had 6000 health points.

Tonny, on the other hand, finished casting Diabolic Lash.

Five blackthorns instantly bound Wilmy's legs, greatly reducing Wilmy's speed.

Eric took the opportunity to get behind Wilmy. With the Abyssal Blade, Eric landed two consecutive strikes on Wilmy's neck, causing 66 and 67 points of damage and inflicting a bleeding effect, causing 8 points of damage per second for 10 seconds.

The high damage caused Wilmy to shift his focus to Eric, but Eric easily dodged the steel claws with his 30 points of agility, stepping back five yards.

Wilmy roared in anger and charged towards Eric.

"Ranged attacks only. Cola, come to aggro Wilmy after you're healed." Eric calmly retreated and dodged Wilmy's claws in an orderly manner.

But what the others saw was astonishing, as each of Wilmy's claws passed close to Eric's head, blowing his hair up.

Although the onlookers were shocked, their attacks did not stop. Magic damage was dealt one after another, with Ezio using Whirlwind Slash from behind, but none of the attacks exceeded 20 points.

Wilmy's health slowly decreased as Eric occasionally landed a couple of hits, causing a significant drop in health.

In no time, Wilmy's health dropped to 90%. Enraged, the Boss underwent a slight transformation, growing in size.

"Melee, stay away from the Boss, Tonny, use Diabolic Lash, heal me!" Eric shouted loudly. Wilmy was definitely going to use a big move, Carnage Feast.

Ezio and Cola immediately distanced themselves from the Boss as per Eric's command, leaving Eric to withstand the attack alone.

As the two moved out of a 30-foot radius, Wilmy disappeared.

Everyone was puzzled by what had just happened.

When Wilmy reappeared, he was already behind Eric. The steel claws came down suddenly, but Eric was prepared, blocking the attack with his sword. However, just as he blocked the first strike, Wilmy disappeared and reappeared behind Eric.

In just two seconds, Wilmy attacked Eric's back seven times. Thanks to Eric's agility of 30 points, he barely kept up with Wilmy's speed. Nevertheless, just as he parried the initial strike, Wilmy vanished again and reappeared behind Eric.

-96, -97, +46, -96, -97, +48, +32, -96, -97, +46...

If Eric didn't have 520 health points and could block each claw with his sword, he would have died under Wilmy's Carnage Feast.

At this point, Eric's health was less than 100 points.

"Finish him off!" Eric shouted.

Wilmy weakened after employing its special move, presenting a prime opportunity for its defeat.

Everyone continued their relentless assault on Wilmy, finally bringing his remaining 30% health down, resulting in four drops.

Just as everyone was about to relax, Eric glanced at everyone's status. Drowsy Sloth's magic points were less than 20%, and the other magic users had less than 10%. He quickly said, "Everyone sits down and restores!"

Although the Boss hadn't died, why the rush? Nonetheless, everyone obeyed Eric's command and sat down to recover.

Before they could even sit down and rest for 5 seconds, a roar shook the entire Silent Grove Dungeon, followed by a black shadow leaping out of the woods.

The shadow was a huge werewolf. It glanced at the dead Wilmy, then at Eric and the others, its dark eyes turning blood-red. Just as it was about to roar, Eric rushed forward with Wind-chasing Sword, using Abyssal Bind to bind the werewolf and its mouth, preventing it from making a sound.

It was then that everyone saw the werewolf's health bars, which showed two full bars. The werewolf, Ferot, a level 3 lord, had a health of 12000/12000.

"Damn, why another Boss?" Tonny couldn't help but curse.

They had just defeated one Boss and hadn't even rested much when another lord came, a level above the former Boss. It was simply unbearable.

"Everyone, remember, do not let the werewolf Ferot roar." Eric quickly reminded everyone. However, everyone seemed a bit fearful, not because of Ferot's size and health, but because of its terrifying blood-red eyes, making them feel uneasy about their actions.
