Chapter 33 From Arrogance to Politeness (Part 1)

Judy's appearance had already shocked everyone.

Everyone present knew who Judy was. After all, she was Scarlet and Isabella's teammate, and she was more than pure and beautiful enough to leave a lasting impression. However, no one expected a pure beauty like her to ask out a newbie player, not to mention the one doing it was Isabella.Who was Isabella?

In the world of virtual gaming, she was known as the Ice Goddess, a target that countless experts wanted to get close to. Some rich kid even publicly announced that he would give her ten million credits if she agreed to have dinner with him. But her response was just one word. "Scram!"

Of course, that rich kid was furious and tried every possible way to take revenge, hoping to win Isabella over. But within a few days, he was dumbfounded because his father suddenly went bankrupt. All the family businesses turned into someone else's overnight, and his father almost beat him to death upon finding out he was the root of it.

From then on, people realized how terrifying Isabella could be. However, this incident only gained her more fans because she truly seemed like a legendary figure, holy and untouchable.

Yetnow, Isabella was actively seeking out this newbie player. To say it was shocking would be an understatement.

At this moment, no one was in the mood to mock anymore. They were filled with jealousy and dissatisfaction instead. How dare a mere newbie chat with Isabella?

"This newbie is really lucky. I'm so handsome, and Isabella won't even say a word to me. Why him?"

"I'm handsome and a top player. Why doesn't Isabella chat with me? Is it because I'm too handsome, or does she prefer a wilder type?"

"Isabella must have approached him because she wants to know about the Infernal-level dungeon. If I had known newbies get such perks, I would have gone to the Infernal-level Silent Grove Dungeon, too."

Everyone was discussing, glaring at Eric with disdain and jealousy, wishing they could strangle him right now.

"Skyweave, is that true? That newbie was invited by Isabella. I must have misheard." Silent Summer Night pinched his rough face and said dumbfoundedly.

"It should be true, but Isabella probably has something to ask him. He's just lucky," the proud Skyweaver concluded, believing Eric's chance to talk to Isabella was due to pure luck.

Last Stand Warrior nodded in agreement.

Isabella was someone they looked up to, not even in the same world as them. Just being able to be in the Silent Grove Dungeon with her made them feel lucky, let alone chat with her.

Everyone thought Eric would immediately agree, but he gave an unexpected answer.

"Sorry, I'm in a hurry." Eric said and turned to leave. He didn't care about Judy nor Isabella's invitation.

Eric had the blueprint now; he just needed the ore. The sooner the Guardian Plate appeared, the higher the income. Missing the best timing would mean losing a lot of money. He didn't have time to chat and had to quickly forge the Guardian Plate to deal with the urgent debt.

Tonny was initially thrilled about the chance to get close to Isabella, but Eric's response shattered that hope and almost drove him crazy. He couldn't understand which nerve in Eric's brain had stopped working to make him refuse.

It wasn't just Tonny who was dumbfounded; even Judy was stunned. It was the first time she had met a man who would refuse Isabella's invitation, something many men couldn't even dream of. Was this guy an idiot?

"Let's go, what are you standing there for?" Eric noticed no one was following him and turned to look at his teammates, who were rooted to the spot.

"Eric, this is an invitation from the Ice Goddess. Won't you reconsider?" Tonny was almost frantic, reminding Eric and praying he'd accept. Such a good opportunity might not come again.

"I said I'm in a hurry." Seeing Tonny's pleading eyes, Eric smiled helplessly. Tonny was great in every way except for his unwavering worship of Isabella.

At this moment, Isabella and Scarlet walked over. Isabella, in her silver-white armor, undoubtedly became the focus of the Silent Grove Dungeon, with everyone staring at her perfect curves, drooling.

No one had expected Isabella to come out personally.

Everyone was even more jealous and envious of Eric.

"Don't worry, I won't waste your time. This piece of Bronze Equipment is compensation." Isabella looked at Eric up close and found that he was indeed different from others.

Though his appearance was ordinary, he exuded a calm and composed aura, with a faint killing intent that could only be obtained through countless life-and-death battles.

"Isabella." Scarlet was surprised, not expecting Isabella to think so highly of Eric. She looked at the unremarkable Eric with disdain and said, "I don't think he's worth a piece of Bronze Equipment. At most, he deserves a gray inferior item."

They had already given Eric a huge honor by inviting him to chat, but Eric not only didn't appreciate it but evendirectly refused. If others were invited, they would have run over to please them. Scarlet had never met such an unremarkable man doing such a thing. She couldn't help but suspect Eric had ulterior motives and wasn't a good person.

"No need for the Bronze Equipment. I have it already." Eric waved his hand dismissively. He didn't think much of Scarlet and didn't need charity.

Scarlet glanced at Eric and smiled playfully, "You have some backbone. Clearly, you want it but are just being stubborn. Isabella, this guy is quite dishonest."

"Scarlet." Isabella glared at her, signaling her to stop. After all, they were the ones who extended the invitation, and belittling others wasn't a good idea.

Scarlet pouted, glanced at Eric, and puffed out her chest. She had no choice but to turn her head away, not believing this poor guy had anything they wanted.

"Sorry, please accept this equipment as an apology." Isabella took out a level 0 Swordsman Bronze Belt and traded it to Eric to let the matter pass.

Seeing Isabella's sincerity, Eric didn't refuse. If he did, it would prove he was petty and make Isabella think he didn't want to make peace. He couldn't reject someone's goodwill. Besides, he didn't have a Bronze Belt, so it would be useful.

"Acting all high and mighty but still taking it, huh?" Scarlet muttered disdainfully, feeling it was a waste to give the Bronze Equipment to Eric.

They had obtained this equipment after much effort from killing a rare elite, and now it was given to Eric. It was a huge loss.

Eric frowned slightly. Being belittled like this was unbearable for any man, especially for him, a reborn one.

"Ms. Collins, since you gave me a piece of Bronze Equipment, it's only right for me to give you something in return. Here, have this little gift."
