Chapter 362 S-Class

Mark and Michael didn't say anything, but their faces showed they were ticked off. If Matt wasn't around, they might've taught Eric a lesson to put him in his place.

They held back not because of Matt's position at Polaris Reach Fitness Center, but because of Matt's own strength.

Matt's skills were enough to make Mark and Michael cautious. Otherwise, these two hotshots wouldn't have kept quiet.

Matt was a big name in Evergreen City. Back in the day, he was a pro fighter and even snagged a championship before retiring early to build up Polaris Reach Fitness Center.

Even now, in his forties, Matt often sparred with the city's top fighters, who all respected his abilities.

"Mr. Elliott, why do you look so surprised?" Katherine asked, a slight smile on her lips. "If you don't believe me, how about a bet?"

Katherine's charming smile left Matt puzzled. He couldn't figure out what she was up to, but since she wanted to play, he didn't mind. After all, he had known her since she was a kid and had always doted on her.

"Katherine, you seem pretty confident in your buddy Eric. Since you insist, I can't say no. What do you want to bet on? But just so you know, I can't give you access to the Heavenly Secret Pavilion's intel."

Hearing the mention of the Heavenly Secret Pavilion, Mark and Michael were taken aback.

The Heavenly Secret Pavilion was famous among virtual game players. It was known for its top-notch intelligence gathering and was considered an unbeatable resource in the virtual gaming world.

Besides publishing a list of top players, the Heavenly Secret Pavilion's website offered various pieces of information about the virtual gaming world, though accessing this info came at a price.

Having a good relationship with the Heavenly Secret Pavilion could grant different levels of access to their intel, a dream for any virtual game player.

Even Eric, who was about to take a strength test, was surprised to learn that Polaris Reach Fitness Center had connections with the Heavenly Secret Pavilion.

"I know, I wasn't talking about access," Katherine said, though she felt a bit disappointed. She quickly smiled and added, "Let's bet on three bottles of Grade S Nutrition Serum. I know you recently got some, Mr. Elliott."

Matt chuckled, "You're always eyeing my stash. I worked hard to get a few bottles of Grade S Nutrition Serum to reward the top students."

Mark and Michael's eyes lit up at the mention of Grade S Nutrition Serum. Even Grade C Nutrition Serum was a luxury for most people, let alone Grade S.

Grade S Nutrition Serum was highly sought after for its significant benefits in healing and enhancing the body, as well as its anti-aging properties. It was often called the "Water of Life" in the real world and cost a million credits per bottle, making it unaffordable for most people. Only a wealthy organization like Polaris Reach Fitness Center could use it as a reward.

If they could snag a bottle of Grade S Nutrition Serum, it would seriously up their game for the upcoming state-level youth fighting competition.

"Mr. Elliott, are you chickening out? I'll tell Daisy you're picking on me," Katherine teased with a playful grin.

"You always know how to twist my arm. Since I agreed, I won't back out. How do you want to do this?" Matt sighed, clearly wrapped around Katherine's finger, much to Mark and Michael's amazement.

Katherine glanced at Mark and Michael, then smiled and pointed at them. "Let's use them."

"What do you mean? You don't want them to fight your classmate, do you? Katherine, think carefully. Mark and Michael may not be pro fighters, but they're not your average college students," Matt warned.

Mark and Michael stood tall, agreeing with Matt. They were the cream of the crop from Polaris Reach Fitness Center's selection.

"Of course not. That wouldn't be fair to them," Katherine said seriously, almost convincing Matt. "Let's compare their strength and reaction test results. That way, they'll be convinced."

Mark and Michael were speechless, glaring at Eric with a look that said, "You think you can compete with us? We'll crush you."

"Katherine, what are you thinking? Don't blame me if you lose," Matt sighed, then turned to Mark and Michael. "What do you two think? If you lose, you won't get the Grade S Nutrition Serum. If you win, the reward doubles."

"We're cool with that, but we want to retest and use the new data," Mark and Michael said, having already discussed it.

This surprised many, as the previous data was the best of three tests. Retesting might not yield such high results.

Matt understood and nodded, "I knew you two were holding back."

Everyone else realized what was happening.

"Their previous results were already high, and they were holding back? Are they really high school students?"

"These two are incredible!"

Many were in awe, looking at Mark and Michael with respect.

Eric, however, wasn't surprised. Katherine's actions puzzled him. Why was she doing this?

"I got you three bottles of Grade S Nutrition Serum. Now it's up to you. Don't let me down," Katherine said with a smile, giving Eric no chance to refuse.

Eric understood. Katherine had done all this to get him the Grade S Nutrition Serum.

He wanted to thank her, but Katherine blushed and said, "Don't overthink it. We're friends, right? Friends help each other. No need to thank me. Just make sure you come to my birthday party next month. Don't be late."

"I'll be there," Eric said, feeling a warmth he couldn't describe. Though he had many things to say, this was all he could manage.

Matt, overhearing, was stunned. "What does this kid have that makes Katherine think so highly of him?" He became even more interested in Eric.

Eric, Mark, and Michael then stepped up to the strength testing machine to begin their tests.
