Chapter 347 Fourth-Level Magic

The arrival of Wiseman brought a sigh of relief to all the players.

Mechanical Slaughterer was too powerful. Despite the numerous guards rushing to surround him, the player's death count exceeded fifty thousand, and several streets in Silvervale City were destroyed.

Given more time, Mechanical Slaughterer might have slaughtered every player in Silvervale City and turned the entire city into ruins.

It was hard to believe that a mere level 50 aberrant high-level Overlord could cause such devastation to a major city like Silvervale. If dozens of powerful monsters appeared, Silvervale City would be doomed.

Everyone's thoughts were racing.

But only Eric understood the true strength of aberrants. Ordinary high-level Overlords couldn't be this strong.

The appearance of an aberrant could be considered a natural disaster.

"I wonder who's stronger, the Archmage or the aberrant?" Eric stood quietly at a distance, observing Wiseman and Mechanical Slaughterer.

An Archmage was a tier-four class, a major figure in Eldoria. Only a large city like Silvervale would have such a powerful individual stationed there. Smaller cities were guarded by tier-three NPCs.

Mechanical Slaughterer was also extraordinary, a mutated high-level Overlord. Eric estimated it to be at least tier-three high-level; otherwise, the tier-two guard captains wouldn't have been defeated so easily.

Wiseman, at level 200, faced off against the level 50 Mechanical Slaughterer, separated by only 30 yards.

The level difference was vast, making them seem like unequal opponents. Yet, standing together, no one felt any sense of incongruity.

"An aberrant, huh? No wonder even the city guards couldn't stop it." Wiseman didn't rush to attack. Instead, he carefully observed Mechanical Slaughterer and glanced around. The once bustling streets were now filled with collapsed buildings, adding a cold glint to Wiseman's gentle eyes.

Suddenly, Wiseman exuded a terrifying aura, making everyone feel heavy and breathless, even from hundreds of yards away.

The aura continued to intensify, causing some ordinary players to collapse in fear, trembling uncontrollably.

The aura was intangible, causing no physical changes but exerting immense mental pressure. It was a warning from a superior being not to provoke such an enemy.

Modern humans had long been detached from natural threats, weakening their perception. But the emergence of Divine Realms: Legends had restored this sense among players.

Though players regained this perception, their mental resilience was still lacking, causing them to collapse under the pressure.

Wiseman's aura enveloped a hundred-yard radius, creating a magical domain. Within this domain, anyone without a comparable domain would be suppressed, while Wiseman's power would be enhanced. This was the terrifying aspect of a tier-four class.

Once the domain was activated, tier-three classes were at Wiseman's mercy.

Mechanical Slaughterer moved, raising its serrated sword to strike Wiseman.

Countless wind blades swept towards Wiseman, who suddenly vanished, reappearing on the other side of Mechanical Slaughterer. The aberrant quickly swung its sword again, but Wiseman teleported away.

After more than ten swings, Wiseman remained unscathed, his continuous teleportation shocking all the players.

Everyone knew that an Elementalist's teleportation had a 25-second cooldown and a range of only 20 yards. But Wiseman's teleportation seemed to have no cooldown, and each teleport covered over 40 yards.

"No wonder he's a tier-four class. If a tier-four Assassin mastered this move, Mechanical Slaughterer would have been hit hundreds of times by now," Eric thought, having faced tier-four classes before. He knew their power well, especially Archmages.

Even among tier-four classes, there were differences in strength. An Archmage like Wiseman, who could teleport so effortlessly, was at least a high-level Archmage.

After a frenzied attack, the street was covered in deep sword marks, some ten feet deep and over a hundred feet long. Mechanical Slaughterer, unable to hit Wiseman, grew furious, gripping its serrated sword tightly and plunging it into the ground, clearly preparing to unleash Storm Domain for a wide-range attack to eliminate the elusive Wiseman.

But Wiseman was already casting a spell. He raised his white jade staff, gathering immense magical power, chanting complex incantations, while his other hand swiftly wrote runes in the air.

"Such fast writing, such complex runes. Ordinary tier-three spells have about ten lines, but this has over twenty. It must be a tier-four spell," Eric marveled at Wiseman's rune writing.

A regular Archmage would take six to seven seconds to write twenty lines, but Wiseman took just over four seconds.

"This distance is still too dangerous," Eric realized the destructive power of tier-four spells, akin to missiles. At 150 yards, he could easily be affected, so he ran further away.

The ground began to crack, and air blades shot out.

Wiseman floated into the air.

The air blades surged towards Wiseman.

Wiseman finished his spell, pointing his finger at the sky, forming a massive blue magic circle.

"Tier-four spell: Sky Piercer!" Wiseman waved his staff, pointing at Mechanical Slaughterer.

A blue stream of energy shot from the magic circle, transforming into a sharp blue spear, crashing down.

The air blades and blue spear collided, creating a powerful shockwave, toppling buildings within 100 yards and affecting players even further away.

Players within 200 yards were instantly killed, while those between 200 and 300 yards suffered varying degrees of damage.

After a brief clash, the blue energy pierced through the air blades, striking Mechanical Slaughterer like a meteor.

A fierce wind blew, raising clouds of dust and causing a stronger shockwave than before, like an earthquake.

As the dust settled, everyone stared at the impact site, their faces filled with shock.

A massive crater had formed, over a hundred feet deep.
