During breakfast, Bridget explained to ash how special she is. I can see the concern in her face while bridge is telling her about her heritage. From what bridge said ash's great, great times something was a fae. Though fae having been long lost, or so we thought. The fae had a close relationship with the earth. When the humans started cutting down and ruining the plants the fae seemed to fade away, but from what bridge said they mixed with the other races to preserve themselves. Most can be seen in those who seem to prosper the most. As for ash’s bloodline, they were in the green lake pack being oppressed by the alpha. Turns out the firstborn girl of the bloodline gets the magic and the males all get enhanced physical traits. I believe this is why her father chose her mother as all the men in her family would be strong warriors going back generations. No one knew the she-wolves would be just as strong given the chance. No longer being bound to an alpha that will hold her back ash will get her magic and reach her full potential. I have a feeling that the goddess wanted her to be my daughter and heir to the pack as I felt drawn to her the moment I met her pushing that cart to the king's office.
.wrapping my arm around her shoulders I let her know we will always be here for her. I feel her relax. We all head to our rooms to get ready for the day and go shopping the kids need a lot of things. Just as I finish dressing my phone rings looking down I see it is Damien who is calling. “hey what's up” “I need you to come to the office we seem to have a problem brewing.” I tell him I will be there shortly. Looking at Noah I tell him to take the kids and go shopping. I don’t want them to miss out on things and ash wants to start training tonight. I let him know Damien wants me in the office and I will tell him everything once he is back. I link for a couple of guards to meet them at the car to go with them. Kissing Noah and the kids I head to the packhouse as they load up in the cars to head to town.
Getting to the office I hear something hit the wall right as I am about to knock. I look down at Bridget who is also looking concerned with the throwing of things in the office. Raising my hand to know I don’t get a chance when the door flies open. “about fudging time” Damien grumbles. I say nothing as I know he has a temper and its best not to feed it. Walking in we take a seat and wait for him to calm down before we say anything. “so I have been getting calls all morning from the packs to the south. Well, the bigger ones as the smaller ones have been attacked by rogues. Well, they believe its rogues as they have no scent and come fast.” I am in shock who would be taking out packs “are they taking over the packs?” I ask as Bridget pulls out her phone to start clicking away. She looks up and gets Brendon's attention. They move over to the other side of the room to talk no dought to get the names of the packs that have been attacked. “no they are just killing off everyone they can find. It's like they don’t care about the packs just want to kill them. And before you ask no there have been no signs that its hunters again.” Damien seethes out. Not knowing what to say but I grab a map lie it out on the table looking it over. The map shows the packs in the area. While looking at it I remember that Sharon came from the south. I didn’t want to bother them if they accepted and marked each other but she may know something. Turning to kade I ask him if he would go get her and tell him last I saw she was with the twins. Kade heads out to go get her.
I look to Bridget who is talking to Brendon just as I look at her she freezes and her eyes go white. This is something I have noticed when she is talking to the goddess, lady Olivia or getting a vision of some sort. When her eyes clear she looks at me with worry. “we need Liam Bron and Sharon here” she says letting her know I already asked kade to get Sharon when she links Liam. Being that he is her brother even if the packs weren't linked she would be able to link him when close.
Once everyone is here I notice that Sharon seems to be stronger and so do the boys. Looking around I notice Luna Bronwyn staring at her. She must have figured something out as her head snaps to Bridget who nods and I get a stomach-dropping feeling. “Sharon dear who are your parents if I may ask?” Luna Bronwyn asks. “my mother is rain Mathews and I don’t know who my sire is I know it's not her husband as I have been told time and time again. I was created from the strongest witch in mothers coven, that being her, and a very powerful magic-user. Why?” she asks looking around. “let me start with you felt a huge power surge all three of you after marking. Yes?” they all nodded looking around I see we all are now connecting the dots. The power we felt last night was her. “it seems your not 100 percent witch. Did anything strange happen last night while they marked you?” she nods and points to the boy's neck showing us that they have a mate bite mark. Witches don’t bite to mark the brand kinda. When they give themselves to their mate they send their magic to their mate wrapping them in the magic and the mate mark is left on the mate but not always on the neck. Luna Bronwyn’s mark is just over Liam’s heart. Similar to a wolf's mark it's a symbol of the two intertwined. But unlike a wolf's mark that is usually black, a witch's mark is the color of their eyes. So when I see that not only are the marks on the boys the same blue as Sharon's eyes it's also black and what looks like silver. It's the most elaborate marking I have seen and that is something due to aria being the goddesses kin. “if she does not witch what is she?” aria asks looking at her with concern. “shes half something ancient that I don’t even know, but very powerful. I am sure she was created to be your counter aria.” looking around at us all before continuing. “you can just nod okay. Was it planned for you to mate with someone else?” “yes. Mother always told me I would be mated to Kane at the peak of my power awakening. He would take me and mark me as my powers awaken to force a mate bond with me.” Sharon says causing Isaac and Anthony to grab her growling mine. She just looks to them with love. “and there has been a spike of attacks heading this way?” Luna Bronwyn asks Damien's head snaps to her “how did you know?” “we would not have been the only one to feel her full power awaken. I don’t know what your other half is but the power is shared between the mates and it has to be a true mate bond. This is why they were going to force a fated mate bond so that the power in you would be given to your intended.” the more I learn of her family the more I hate them.
“The threat that once was only to the green lake is now a threat to all. The ancient power once lost has now found a home serving the goddess but darkness is coming for it. Destruction and blood lay in wake of the dark one coming here to claim what he believes are his.” the goddess voice through Bridget rings through the room before she starts to collapse. I catch her looking at everyone knowing we are now in a world of trouble.
“Damien we need to call the other packs to come here they will be safer here.” alpha Liam says with that we all take our phones out calling all the packs. Handing Bridget to a guard to be taken to her room I call Noah I want him and the kids home now. Not knowing how much time we have we will make plans soon for the non-fighting wolves to be hidden away.
