Chapter 78

With a deep growl that is supposed to stop me in my tracks but it does not. I return the growl with just as much force. I may have stripped us of our alphahood but I didn’t strip myself of me and my training or my fae blood. When I hear a gasp I look down seeing my hands glowing I remember he has none. Smirking I look at him to straighten up. Shaking my hands out “okay let me make it fairer. Allister block my magic during the fight. don’t let any magic enter me while I fight. This will be solely, wolf against wolf.” the alpha returned my smirk with a glare but nodded. With a nod, Allister wraps around my arm sinking in and becoming a mark on my arm. I feel all my magic drain. Stumbling for a step when I got a sudden dizzy spell. With a shake, everything settled. I had not realized how light I felt with my magic. The softness of the ground is now scratchy and harsh. Memories of the day before coming back. Now realizing I no longer felt the world around me like a wolf but I felt part of the earth a wolf and the earth. Separate and strong but together a soft melody. Squaring my shoulders I need to get this over with fast I feel naked.

A tightness on my wrist tells me Allister is still here if I need him. Set my feet shoulder-width apart and drop to a crouch. Waiting for the alpha. Rolling his shoulders he smirks at me dropping down ready to start. Rhett steps between us. “okay to make this fair no one is to step in this circle once the fight starts me included. The fight will start when I step out of the circle. To ensure it's a fair fight I will set the circle in dragon fire. We all know what happens should you cross dragon fire. Should Ashley or Adam hit land or cross the dragon fire they will be in a coma for two weeks. The fire is to keep us all out and them in. Does anyone have any objections?” looking around. The wolves all look bored and ready to go home. Smirking back at them Rhett links “you can still stop this.” shaking my head I signaled to start. With a nod, he walks out of the circle and sets the blue flame around the circle of oaks.

Now it's time to dance as we circle each other looking for an opening. I notice he keeps glancing at my feet. King Brendon broke me of that habit. Too much time watching where my feet are not enough time watching my hands and bam. He's on the ground. Backing away hopping from foot to foot. Rolling over punching the ground before he gets up. Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth he smiles at me. “that was a nice shoot you can throw a punch ill give you that.” “I’m not here to play games adammmmm” humming out the m at the end of his name. The smirk is gone in a flash as he rushes me. Males and their egos. Breath count watches his shoulders, not his feet. One two and drop spin stop halfway fall back kick out and up. Bam again in the jaw. This time a snap echos through the trees. Jumping back up ready as Adam takes a few deep breaths before getting back up. Laughing in my head as that was a moving king Damien spent so many nights teaching me the signature stone finishing move. The shock hit me at the same time Adam's fist connected to my jaw. Sending me flying. Tucking twisting and rolling. I smirk at him there is no move he knows that I don’t. I trained with the royal pack for years.

“is that all no wonder your pack is weak.” the shadow pack is far from weak but the more under his skin I get the less he's thinking. I can't let him hit me again or it's over. I have to hit him fast not hard. I don’t have the physical muscle to hit him hard enough but with enough pressure, in the same spot over and over it's almost as bad if not worse. I say worse cause bruises on bruises instead of one bruise you do the math.

Charging me again I jump twisting to land on his back with my knee in between his shoulder. Bounce off, land. Shit. Drop flat. His foot barely missed my head but opened him up for a swift jab to his taint and he buckles. Folding into a ball as he comes to the ground. I had locked my fingers straight so when I jabbed up my nails cut into the soft skin between his balls and asshole. Like I said I had to fight a few males since I shifted to prove I deserve to be the alpha heir. I've only lost to my fathers.

Standing I run my hand through my hair and down my front looking around I see every male here holding themselves with green faces. Feeling the pack links falling into place as I just won. Soon they are bowing to me. Straightening my shoulders I look at Adam “I don’t want to be the alpha I don’t need to be your alpha, you are alpha stone are always meant to be the alpha. But you needed to be reminded that you serve our goddess a she-wolf not the other way around. So from alpha to alpha can I speak with your elementals?” I say strong and even. Adam stands bows his head looks me in the eye “alpha Ashley it would be an honor to help you in any way you need. You have given me a lot to think about. I have prided myself on being open and better than my father it did take a she-wolf to put me in my place and make me see what I was becoming. I feel ashamed.” dropping his head and shoulders “hey old man ill tell you I don’t know when really as I have not read all the shadow history but you are one of the best alphas in history for your time. Your family goes long and strong. This pack becomes blessed to have some amazing people running it later so knowing what you do now today molds what you want in the future. The escape from your father's pack in the dark lands does not touch your borders. Live knowing you make this part of the world safe.”

Surprising me when he wraps his arms around me hugging me like a long-lost sister. “I will remember this day always it will be in the pack history.” stiffening I know for a fact I am not in the stone history I pull back. “no no you can please never mention my name in anything. I have already broken things I can't break the first home I had promised me.” squeezing his shoulders harder until he nods. His word being law he can't go against it now.

Bullet dodged. Just to have the shotgun aimed at me.
