Stepping back I see the hurt in chad but its aunt Bridget that pulls him to the side. Her eyes glowing the white of the goddess. I don’t care what they talk about I need to know how to fix this. “did they send a spell of plan to get this fixed. Dad do we have any magic users in the pack what about the shadow pack how many magic users are there. Turning to look at my fathers I notice then his pack mark on his chest is different. Rushing to him I place my hand on his mark “dad what happened to your mark?” looking at me oddly “what do you mean sweetie this has been our pack mark since I took over. When I adopted you I watched as the mark formed on your shoulder. It was a very happy dad for me and your father.” shaking my head our pack mark has always been a sleeping wolf looking into a green lake. Small but big at the same time. This is a wolf made of ice howling at the moon. Shaking my head. “what does an ice wolf have to do with the green lake pack dad come on you know that doesn't make sense.” crossing my arms over my chest. His look of what taking me by surprise.
“oh sweet child did you hit your head? This is the frozen lake pack. Named after the lake.” aunt Bronwyn says looking at me intently. Shaking my head “yes the pack is named after the green lake” pointing to the lake. “does that lake look green to you?” taking a deep breath I look back and really looked to see what they see. They have seen a frozen lake for over 200 years of course the pack would be named after it being frozen it was named after it being called green lake but then alpha Greene used that to make his about him too. So how did that happen. Shaking my head I will look of the books later for now I need to know how to get my mate back. Oh and Janet so she can come to justice.
Looking around with a silent plea in my eyes asking for help before I look down trying to see Rhett dragon at the bottom. The ice to thick to white for me to see down enough. When the lake is not frozen you cant see the cave but you can see the bottom of the lake. “come sweetie lets go home get some rest and start going over options in the morning. You also need checked out if you are carrying a pup?” “not a pup young alpha” Mia stops talking as she doesn't know my fathers name “Daniel its alpha Daniel sparks” my father says. As he wraps an arm around my shoulders pulling me to him. “alpha Daniel, shes carrying twin dragons. Not pups” everyone starts laughing hard all but Kalaban Mia and myself. When my father looks down seeing that I am not laughing hi raised his brow. I nod he bulks. “how there are no dragons left the blood witches killed them all.” shaking my head Mia comes up to me holding me close Kalaban staying close to Mia. “prince Kalaban is this true? Mia asks “from the research I have done its true lady Mia. Its only been the last five years that I have had a chance to try and find the lords and I have found none I don’t know how to tell you how sorry I am. I even travels to your parents mountain.” with a sad look on his face. Tears stream down Mia's face sizzling as the hit the frozen water. Not melting it just turning to ice its self.
Fire what if. I pull away standing in the center I try calling my fire. Nothing. I am having a hard time pulling the wild magic in the air. I knew it was thin and I knew I was gonna have a tough time in my time pulling in wild magic. Dropping to my knees tears streaming down my face. The feeling of sparks pulling me up holding me to him as he walks me back to my fathers car. Helping me in he sits next to me just holding me not saying nothing just letting me be sad. I should have pulled away he hurt me but the comfort the sparks give me are what I need. Soon we are heading back to the pack house. Getting out of the car chad helps me down to my room. When I turns to leave I grab his hand “stay please just til I fall asleep.” he nods and lays down with me pulling a blanket over us I curl up into him closing my eyes as the tears fall. Stroking my hair he whispers “we will free him I promise you. If you accept my rejection I will understand as it would be stupid of you to accept me now. But I want you to know I will always be here for you. And your aunt has one hell of a right hook so don’t make her made.” I couldn’t keep the giggle from falling out of my mouth.
“explain?” I ask as I settle down to here his tale of how he knows my sweet proper high priestess aunt has a killer right hook. I didn’t hear the whole story before I fell asleep. How long I have no clue. But I did wake to many voices in my room and a loud shhhh coming from chad. It was the rumble of his chest that woke me. Opening my eyes I see Mia and Kalaban moving about my room. Moving things and in the corner was a large red rock. Slowly sitting up I look at chad in questioning and he shrugs. “oh good your awake. You said you can summon hell fire right?” I nod where is this going “good come here lets hope you can summon enough for two eggs.”
