“your up early,” I say as my door opens. “one of us has to be your leaving me soon to go to the university and I won't be able to even visit you for four years and by then you should almost be done and I will be starting. That’s like eight years before we are back here together.” Addie is always, overdramatic one, but since she's just turned 14 ill give her a break I remember that year for me. Most she-wolves start their cycles around now just giving us two years to get those under control before we get our highly instinctual wolves. My wolf is a kinda bitchy snotty don’t want to take shit from anyone. Let me tell you getting your wolf at thirteen and then my cycle the next month made for a rough time. Let's add in that my father had just killed one of the biggest threats I had seen. And that's saying a lot coming from someone who grew up in the old green lake pack. Then there was the building of the pack on our land and the university.
My fathers are saints for loving me through all that. Then let's add some wild magic and you can guess how many doors were bought in that two years of hell for not just me but everyone around me. My wolf is a sight to be seen knows she's gorgeous and doesn't miss an opportunity to tell me. She has been restless lately so I have been overly tired in the mornings as she's taken to taking over and going for a run to burn off some steam. “you look like shit shay still running at night?” nodding I roll out of bed. My feet hit the ground with a thud. “go shower ill find you clothes hurry, hurry we only get a few hours to shop before you have to meet your dads. On and the evil shit came with me. I made sure she was dropped off with your brother and Noah. I don’t know why that little demon cant be nice to me. If it wasn’t for me and Shelly coming over all the time she would be stuck waiting for the scheduled visits. She should have been nicer to me.” and evil smirk dances on her face as she skips to my closet. “what did you do?” I ask over my shoulder.
Coming into the bathroom setting a stack of clothes on the counter before she hops up with a little giggle. “I told her I won't be coming here as much. And that means she won't be coming as much.” she giggles to herself. If I didn’t know firsthand how bratty nova can get the longer she and Jordan are apart because I have to live with Jordan. Though at seven he is getting better at controlling his temper nova is only five so not so good at that yet. But I can say that when they are together or are in the early days of them being apart she's a super sweet kid. When they saw each other every day they both were never too annoying. It was two years ago and the muted bond was tested for the first time when we first started moving over to our new packhouse and lands. The house had that already lived-in feel from the wolves and humans that now belong to our pack. On the far side of the land, a huge medical building was built and several doctors in several fields were brought in to help all the wolves. I have taken advantage of this along with Addie. She had a lot of guilt over the rape of auntie Leigha. No one blamed Addie for it happening especially, aunt Leigha. She told her over and over she would do it again to save Addie she regrets nothing. Aunt Bridget an oracle of the goddess and my father's beta also told her time and time again the goddess asked Leigha to protect her and because she did she gave Leigha the opening to free them. If it was not for Leigha's sacrifice unspeakable things could have happened. It took two years but Addie finally forgave herself for it.
Addie lives in the shadow pack with her sister beta to the hidden flower pack. Aunt Leigha s brother jay is the alpha. So if you lost count that's four packs living under one roof for almost four years. And that does not include the packs that were absorbed into the packs because they lost their alpha or were taken over by one of the alphas. The kings and queens still hadn't wanted to let us go even though it was for all our good. We are all family in one way or another. My father alpha Daniel is the older brother of Kari and kade storm twins mated to twins Zane and James storm. The betas and delta of the royal pack. My dad Lune Noah is the cousin of alpha Liam of the whispering winds packcoven. Aunt Bridget is alpha Liam's sister making him my uncle. The queen grew up in the same pack as my father and his siblings a pack that no longer exists. They were just as bad as the former alpha of the green lake pack. The packs not only have an alliance out of respect for each other or loyalty to the royals but we are all family in one way or another.
Two years ago the whispering winds packcoven moved to the newly finished university to run it. The old blood moon pack lands were given to jay to renovate for when he's ready to move and take over without the safety net of the kings and queen. I hope that won't be for many many years well at least four anyways. Addie's sister is her guardian and also the beta of the hidden flower pack. Addie was not born to be the beta of her birth pack she was born to be my beta. The day I met her she was still scared from what had happened and I was still getting used to having caring adults around. Ones that wanted me and my brother. In those early days, we spent all the time we could avoiding issues but once the medical center was finished my father made me go to therapy. A fight then but grateful today. I made Addie go with me as she soon became my safety blanket as doctor Betty says.
