Daniel pov
Just as I hang up with Noah my phone rings I see that it is Jim. Jim lost his brother in the attack at the packhouse a few months back. Even though we have halted the building of the pack lands for now he and a few of the other men wanted to help clear the lands of things so that when the time comes it was ready for building. I think part of it was to keep their minds off the losses from the attack. These men also know about us and know that we plan to have the human town as part of the pack and have agreed to this and see me at the leader of them. “hey Jim what going on?” “alpha there are some young wolves here looking for you?” “Who are they?” I hear him talking to them. Once he tells me who they say they are I look to Damien who has his eyebrow raised at me. “okay take them to town put them up at the bed and breakfast tell Mary to charge me and someone will be there tomorrow to see to them. Search them for anything to help identify them please.” “yes alpha. Also, we have started cleaning at the center house we found two safes so far do you want them sent to city hall with all the other valuables we find?” “that sounds good thanks Jim do you need anything else while you have me on the phone?” “nope I think we are all set but ill have a better handle at the end of the week we might need ill send the list to Jones when I have it.” “alright talk to you later.” with that we hang up. “didn’t you get word the hidden flower pack was whipped out?” I ask Damien who looks down at his list.
“yes from what I was told but they are not sure as no one has actually been to the packhouse to look for anyone. Why?” “well, a couple of wolves showed up at the green lake center house looking for the alpha saying they are alpha jay hill beta Shelly walker and a close friend Adam Lange.” “the alpha of the hidden flower pack is Jacob hill.” “so maybe there are a few survivors I will head over there tonight and watch them and then meet with them tomorrow,” I tell him sending a text to Noah letting him know what is going on. I will be heading out before they get back. “take a few warriors with you.” aria says as she gets up and waddles out of the room no dought to make a trip to the restroom as it seems she lives there these days. I don’t answer cause she was already out of the room and no way was I not gonna do what she says. I value my life too much.
Linking a few guards we head out to the green lake lands. Jamie is already at the driver's door “no you are not driving I want to make it there in one piece where is David?” “his mate is in heat so you're stuck with me today.” she smiles and I hate that look she has groaning I get in the SUV and buckle up. “can you at least drive like you want to live today you killed the jeep in training the other day?” “ill think about it alpha” “why did I become friends with you?” I grumble she just laughs as the other two guys jump in the back both looking like they are praying to the goddess and to be honest so was I. why am I letting her drive well she is honestly one of the best high-speed drivers we have and I want to get to the bed and breakfast as soon as possible. So I close my eyes and pray.
Pulling up to the dinner across the street from the b and b I jump out and feel like kissing the ground. The boys in the back jump out both looking green as they bend over trying to calm their stomachs. I think for once the only one hungry is Jamie. Heading inside the waitress sees us and nods to a table next to the window giving me a good view across the street. “Mary said she put them in the front room so if they move around you should be able to see from there. Coffee?” Klara asks I nod and thank her. She brings us a few menus and coffees. One of the boys stiffens and turns to watch Klara walk about the diner. Jamie elbows me and when I look at her she starts wiggling her eyebrows. This is the first time tom has been to town. Being 19 almost twenty he was starting to ask about maybe going to other packs to look for his mate. Well, I think that's out of the question now as I watch me watch her. Every time she goes to the back he looks like he is about to jump up. “
Klara dear can you come here please?” I ask she nods and walks over “sit please I want to ask you a few things.” she sits looking a little worried but I just smile at her “how old are you?” “just turned 18 sirs” waving my hand “just Daniel. What are your thoughts about wolves?” she is another I know who knows about us as her father was at the center house. She thinks for a minute “well if they are like you and the pack that will be here then I like them you all are so nice and I feel safe around you but if its like the ones that came through and ruined lives I don’t think I would like them very much” she says thought full. Glancing over at tom who looks to be lost in every word she says. “have you heard about mates?” she nods “would you be opened to being mated to a wolf?” “its it a good wolf?” I see fear and maybe a little hope in her eyes along with toms. “he is a good wolf and strong warrior.” I tell her she smiles brightly and I think tom just melted “looks like we lost another one kev.” Jamie says as Kevin starts laughing. This has Klara looking around when her eyes meet toms you can see that she is just as taken with him as he is to her. “mine” tom says and she just nod. A throat clears looking over I see Klara’s mother. She is smiling at her daughter and soon to be son in law. “hey Ellen can you have burgers sent to the wolves across the street?” she nods then looks to Klara “cupcake you have tables and I’m sure that young man will not be leaving anytime soon.” she says laughing as she walks away. We all laugh as she slowly gets up to finish working. Soon Ellen is bringing steak dinners over to us and sending the busboy across the street. Sitting down she asks “will she be going back with you or are you part of the pack that will be here?” “I am part of the green lake pack ma’am so I will be coming back here when having it done.” tom tells her then looks at me. I have a feeling Ellen needs Klara here. While they talk I think things through and make a decision. “tom I want you to stay here in town and help keep an eye on things here when we head back tomorrow. After we figure this out then I think ill send Kevin and Jamie back to help you keep an eye on the town.” I see relief in both tom and Ellen at what I said. “ill talk to Mary tomorrow about rooms for you three” “no need alpha they can stay at our house besides I have a feeling this young man and my Klara won't want to be apart.” and we both laugh as toms face turns red “tom Holland ma’am” she smiles and pats his shoulder. I turn to watch the window.
