Chapter 20
The alarms are going off.
Rushing to the border due to the alarms going off. I see a few of the wolves that are on patrol at this time. They are gathered around a lump on the ground. As we get close to them I notice the lump is a young wolf. “kings and alpha” one of the wolves says bowing as we get to them. “what's going on Derek?” Damien asks looking around to see the threat. “we thought that we were getting attacked as this young wolf bound through the trees at us. We sounded the alarm as the wolf did not smell of any of the packs here.” he says looking down at the young one. “get a med team here fast.” I say kneeling to get a better look at the wolf. “Luke.. oh my goddess Luke.” looking down at one of my wolves. He and a few others were at the pack lands overseeing the rebuild of it. I had wanted him to stay here and train to be that he is only 17, but he wanted to stay with his father and learn the same trade as his father so I allowed him to go with him. “he and his father are overseeing the rebuild of the pack buildings. His father Ethan was my head contractor there.” I tell them all. I need answers I need to know what is going on at the pack lands.
Getting back to the shadow pack packhouse I go to my room looking for my phone. Noah comes downstairs on the phone. Seeing me he holds a hand up signaling me that we need to go to the king's office. Damien and Brendon being with me all see it and head there. Noah then looks down at a wolf in the hallway who was heading out of a room and tells her to go find alpha Liam and have him come to the king's office as well. I am getting a bad feeling about this. The little wolf nods and runs off. We are all gathering in the office when not only does aria come in but all the betas gammas and delta of all three packs here. This must be bad. We all sit and wait for alpha Liam to arrive. “Luke's been hurt, Noah. I don’t know what happened yet but it's bad I had him sent to medical.” I tell him as I grab his hand. Pulling me to him I see tears in his eyes.
Once we are all in the office Noah begins “I just got a call from the mayor of forest view. They have been attacked by a group of wolves. They sent a message for the perverted pretend alpha of the green lake pack. Jones said that we will find the message at the green lake packhouse. He has no clue what the message is but he said they made it seem like we should go find it fast.” I have a bad feeling about this. I have a good amount of wolves working at the pack lands. The only comfort I have right now is I don’t feel any broken bonds. Looking around the room I stand up “I am heading to the pack lands I have wolves there. I already have one in medical I need to check on the rest of them.” I say heading to the door. “I will go with you and I will bring some warriors with me as I sent some of my men to help yours.” alpha Liam states standing up. Luna Bronwyn looks around before saying “don’t leave yet I am going to make a potion that links all three-pack. Once the three packs are linked they will be forever seen as a blood family with a blood link. This link will only belong to the three packs, for now, I will add the moonbeam as soon as your son is old enough to establish it.” she tells us then rushes from the room. “while she is doing that gather the warriors we will take and get ready to leave. We leave as soon as Luna Bronwyn is done.” Brendon tells us all.
Heading our separate ways I have Noah and Bridget get the warriors and things ready. I head to the medical wing to look in on Luke. Getting to his room I see Dr. Sands coming from his room. “how is he doc?” I ask looking at the door. “he's healing slowly due to being stabbed with a silver blade. But he is young and in good shape so he should be fine as soon as the silver is out of his system. He is still unconscious but I have high hopes he should wake tomorrow sometime.” he tells me. This makes me feel a little better but still feel so guilty if I had made him stay here he wouldn't like this. “don’t blame yourself until you have all the facts alpha.” he says to me. “if anything changes call me please.” I ask him with a nod we both walk away. I will find out what happened to this young wolf and I will get justice for what happened to him,
We are all at the front of the packhouse loading the SUVs to head to my pack lands. Luna Bronwyn comes out of the house with a goblet in one hand and her soul dagger in the other. Oh ya, another cut from her blade that thing stings when it cuts, but I trust her so if this is what she needs then I am willing to give it to her.
“okay I need the alphas, Luna, Lune, kings, and queen for a few moments please,” she says standing just at the bottom of the stairs. We all walk to her. Looking at them as we get close I just assume she needs my hand and starts to hold it to her as does everyone else. This draws a small giggle from her “guess I don’t need to ask for palms this time huh?” she says we all nod to her and she began “alpha Daniel and Lune Noah do you give your blood freely to form a familiar bond with the shadow pack, whispering winds packcoven, and the future moonbeam pack.” raising our hands to her without pause we say together “with our all of us we do.” she slices our palms dropping four drops of blood in the goblet “one drop for each pack to be bound.” I can see aria has a question but is waiting. She repeats this with all of us. Once aria adds her blood Luna Bronwyn says” with the mixing of the blood of the packs in this tonic I bind them once taken back in the bond will become permanent.” at this, she hands the goblet to aria who takes a sip and passes it along. Once I take a sip I feel a bond start but feels broken it's an odd feeling. The second the liquid touched Luna Bronwyn's tongue the bond snapped in place taking all out-breaths away. Behind me, I hear the wolves gasping at the feel of a new bond. Once done we all head to the SUVs to head to my pack to find this message left for my check on my wolves and find out what happened to Luke.
