Chapter 37

Bridget had come in to inform us that a family cabin has been made for us and that aria was in the process of signing the adoption papers for the kids who had decided they wanted to bare whatever name we plan to have so with that Noah and I decided that we would take on the sparks name. I had no loyalty to the winter's name so I was happy to take Noah's name. Bridget told us that the adoption ceremony and the official naming of the girl would be tomorrow. She knows what the girl's name will be but won't tell anyone. Saying that she has her reasons for keeping it under lock and key for now. I have a strong feeling it has to do with Isaac and Anthony. I want to ask if she is going to reject them or accept them but Bridget is not someone who will spill the beans. I swear she is like a bank vault. Things go in but nothing comes out. And she's an evil little tyrant.
Packing our room up I go over everything I plan to do tomorrow. When aria agreed to let us adopt the kids I called a jeweler in town to have a necklace made for Ashley and a bracelet for Jordan. I had talked to Luna Bronwyn about enchanting them so they stay when they shift and that only they can take them off. I wanted the kids to know how much they mean to me even in a short amount of time. I had come to terms a long time ago that I wouldn't have a family but here I am with one and I couldn’t be happier. Bridget told us she has an announcement to make tomorrow as well but again won't tell me or even hint as to what it is. I think she likes to make us suffer others like that. After moving to the cabin we have dinner with the pack and head to bed tomorrow will be busy.
Waking the next morning I let Noah and Jordan sleep but wake Ashley up early. I have a morning planned out for her first I take her shopping for a new dress for the ceremony and then I take her to get her hair done. I want to pamper her. The strength she had already shown me tells me she will make a great alpha and I want her to have a special day. We talk on the way to town about everything and nothing. She is so excited to be starting school soon. We did find out that she needed to take a placement test to see where she was at. She understood and was more than willing to do so. I also told her I wanted her to start training with the warriors because one day she will be the alpha and alphas to protect their pack. we both know what a bad alpha is like and I am determined that we will start a new legacy in this pack.
Getting to the dress store her eyes are going everywhere. Walking in a young woman greets us. “alpha” as she bows and looks to Ashley “future alpha Ashley” I say to her causing Ashley's eyes to get big and her cheeks to turn so red it was the cuties thing I have ever seen. “future alpha Ashley what can I help you find today?” she asks showing Ashley the respect she deserves. Still blushing ash is biting her lip so I tell the woman we need a dress for her adoption ceremony today and I want her to look like the princess she is. The woman smiles brightly and I think Ashley somehow is now redder than she was. I take a seat in a chair as the woman ushers ash to the back of the store “ash don’t forget shoe sweetie” instead of answering she just waves her hand at me. Okay, I think I embarrassed her enough for now. While they were trying on dresses I snuck out for a coffee and grabbed her, hot cocoa.
Coming back in and sitting down she comes out in a silver dress with emerald green lace on it. They are the pack colors and look amazing on her. The dress comes down to her knee. She looks every bit the princess and future alpha she is. Her green eyes are looking like green fire and her red hair sticking out all over. She looked so grown up and that made me think about her future mate. No one will treat my daughter the way I was and many in our packs had I vow. “oh ash you look amazing I think that's the dress.” and I see her face is telling me she feels the same. “can we find something that matches for Jordan?” “of course. Go get changes I got you a hot cocoa. We will pay for it head next door find something for the cookie monster than one more stop before we head back.” she smiles at me and runs back to change. I notice the woman is smiling at me funny. Walking over to me she tries flirting with me. I let her know I am a happily mated man and have no interest in going against the bond. She does get a pout but she's a wolf so she for the most part gets it.
We pay for the dress and shoe head next door. While she sips her cocoa I find a black suit with a silver shirt and emerald green tie for Jordan. I get her approval before we buy it. As we walk down the street to the salon we talk about going to the mall over the weekend to get school clothes for her and Jordan. Our little monster will be starting a pre-school Monday and he is so excited. Ash should be starting 7th grade but on Monday she will be taking a test to find out if she needs to do some tutoring to be caught up with others her age. She's smart so I have no dought she will do just fine and she has us all to help her out. Entering the salon I tell her to tell them how she wants her hair and I'll be over sitting in a chair and waiting for her.
I listened to her tell them she wanted to keep it kinda long so she can still put it up but not as long as it is. So they cut some off then they washed, dried, and curled her hair. I think I fell asleep at some point. When she was done her hair looked like a tamed fire. She looked amazing and I made sure she knew it. Heading back to the pack so they can get ready and the adoption ceremony I can't wait for them to be officially ours.
