“yes does the heir need to be born to tap into the blood-to-blood spell you might be thinking?” Mia asks hopping up and down like a pup on a sugar high. It was not hard to gather she took after Kiko the most. I can feel the panic rising in me. Doing the math in my head as to how long I have until I have to contend with someone else. I knew that there would be women in my mate's past. We don’t live in a time where we save ourselves for our mates. My brother's mate is carrying the young heir.” sniffing “newly joined but their none the less.” “I will not risk the life of a pup to test blood we don’t know if it would work or not?” alpha Adam gruffs out.
A shared look between Rhett and Mia is shared before she starts laughing. “I forget you all know nothing of dragon heirs. No matter if it's a dragon in her womb or a wolf all of her is now the same blood as the heir. Mother and child share the same blood until the offspring are born and whined of the mother. So do you think you might be able to test now?” Mia seethes out grabbing my hand and slicing her nail through the palm of my hand faster than anyone had time to process. Rhett growl my yip of shock and the sucking sounds of the rest of the room holding their breaths. After a few more moments the ice came over and stuck his finger in the small puddle in my palm. His eyes went fully blue. Shifting through the shades of water before coming back to focus. A shift nod was all he gave but the small flutter of excitement ran through Rhett. “but the bond is weak between the two of you. Yes, I can feel the offspring as is with dragons but there is a weak spot in the bond. Like something is missing? Are you two not in” stopping not knowing how to Finnish his question? I have a feeling I know the issue but say nothing. It's chad's rejection that leaves a hole in my soul.

My head is now more fuzzy and full of fluff than before. A simple idea turned into a very complicated situation. Helping me to sit Rhett pulls me close. It then hits me these wolves don’t know my fathers and I don’t share blood the only blood to blood is my brother.
