Brendon pov
Waking up wrapped up in my mate's arms was great remembering last night oh how we needed that we have been so out of it for months now. Knowing we are getting closer to getting our girl back we are slowly pulling ourselves out of this deep dark hole we have fallen in. Turning to look at my handsome mate I run my finger along his jaw. I see him start to smile as he wakes. “good morning” he smiles out then leans in kissing me. As soon as our lips part there is a knock at the door. Fluffy fluffer nuts I was hoping to have some morning fun time with this sexy man. “come in Sam” Damien says. Walking in Sam smiles wickedly at us “she's awake and not happy” he laughs we both grin “ perfect we will be down in a few can you get James, Zane, and Kari please?” I ask. He nods and leaves. “you know we need a gamma and a delta still what if we do you think of Sam as gamma and Kade as Delta. They are both good warriors and kade has been spending more time on patrol and looking for holes to fix in the warriors and Sam had been a big help with planning out for defense and attacks.” I say to Damien as I get out of bed. He looks to the ceiling with his deep-thinking face on. Turning his head to watch me change my close he smiles and I feel the lust through the bond.
“get up we have work to do big boy” I tease him he groans but starts getting up. Once dressed he pulls me to him kisses me “you know I like that they would defiantly add to our leadership ill link James and have him bring kade along.” kissing him back. Pulling apart he can get dressed we both opted for a t-shirt and sweat pants why ruin good clothes.
Heading out of the packhouse we catch up with Kari, Kade, and Zane. Kari and Zane look like they have a lot on their minds. “whats ups guess? You know you can talk to us about anything.” I say to them as we all make our way to the cells. Kari sighs and says “we think we know what we want to do with the green lake pack only thing we are waiting on is getting Aria’s thoughts on it.” looking at them “you know she would trust your opinions and feelings what have you questioning this?” “well see me and Kari were thinking we don’t want to be alpha and Luna of the green lake pack as you probably already guessed.” we all nod “but we do know there is someone here that was meant to lead them so we thought since he wasn’t given a chance to be the Lune they needed he could be the alpha they deserve.” I look over at Damien thinking about the man that Daniel is showing himself to be. They are right he was never meant to be a beta or a warrior he was meant to lead as a Lune but could he be the alpha that the broken pack needs. “I’ve not known Aria long but I do know Dan never actively took part in her poor treatment and I’m sure once she comes to learn what he was living with she may understand him more like the rest of us have.” Kade adds “yes but we also would have stipulations to it like he would allow us to keep an eye on him to make sure that green lake runs like the shadow and royal moonbeam packs. He will also pledge to serve Queen Luna Aria. Along with having the same structure as both packs making them a family pack to these two packs.” Zane finishes
Wow they have been thinking about this a lot and they have made some good points I cant see a lot of fault in what they plan to do but I want to know what the backup plan is if aria says no “ and if Aria says no to him being alpha of green lake?” Damien asks before I can “then we give the pack to Aria simple as that but I am hoping to give my brother a chance to heal along with a pack that needs to heal as well. I thought maybe if they see that their new alpha is and was just as abused by the former alpha as they were they can all help each other heal.” she says with a tear running down her cheek. “you know I think Aria might just agree with that and if there is a chance of him taking over as alpha he will need to be trained how to be one.” I say looking to Damien he nods and I see his eyes glaze over I know he is linking someone. As soon as his eyes cleared I look at him with a well what was that look? “I asked Jemma to go get Daniel and send him here. If there is a chance he will take over you right he needs to train to lead and the sooner he starts the better.” Kari looks so happy we took this decision well and are in support of it.
Once we reach the outbuilding that holds the cells we wait outside for Daniel to show up. “what are you telling him as to why you want him here?” I ask thinking we cant tell him he has a chance at being an alpha until we know for sure. “if he's to be on the elite team he will need to be present when the alpha talks with prisoners. As a former beta he knows it's the truth.” he says to me and kade laughs all our heads snap to him. “what little brother?” Kari snaps at him. “well Dan started training me as a beta saying ‘what if I get hurt in battle you would need to help the alpha’ so I know what a beta did there and it's nothing to what I have seen here. First, the beta follows everything the alpha says no questions ever. The beta is just a personal guard to the beta. It wasn’t till we came here and I saw how a real pack was running that I understood what the ranks were meant for.” Kade informs us all of the training that got as a beta and it was not a beta. So training for Daniel will take a lot of work but I think he will be up for it.
Daniel rushes up to us “alpha you asked for me. I came as fast as I could” breathing hard. Man if he was any faster I would have wondered if he could teleport or fly. “so we have just been informed of your lack of real training in your beta title held. So since you want to join the elite team and we see the potential of you joining them we have decided that you will get the training you never received, to begin with.” Damien says in a matter-of-fact voice. His eyes going wide looking at everyone standing in front of him Kari smiles wide and hugs him. We all can see the shock and fight to keep tears away. “I'm honored and I promise to do better than my best,” he says his fist over his heart bowing.
