Damien pov
We have been watching Tara over these past months. She has yet to spill what she is up to but we have caught her putting something in a drink she has brought me. At this point, I’m sure she is trying to poison me or use some kind of love potion. Brendon and I are not willing to find out which one. So whenever she brings me a drink or something to eat somehow it gets knocked on the floor or spilled. At this point she's starting to get desperate we can see it. Since Daniel was released from the hospital and I can tear him away from the daycare or training I have asked him to keep an eye on her. Though she thinks she's keeping an eye on him for me and reporting anything he does to me. She thinks he is a prisoner that needs a guard at all times. I want her to think she is trusted with keeping us safe and that I don’t trust Daniel. This will cause her to not see him as a threat and may talk where he can overhear things. I have had many talks with both Kari and kade and they both trust their brother and they wish for him to have a second chance. He has shown no desire to be above a warrior and feels he has a lot to make up for and so I have granted him a chance to prove he is not who he first seemed to be. I am starting to think that what we first saw of him was all an act. I can truly see he was born to rule a pack as their Lune. He would have made a good Lune if he had been born to a better pack and mated to better alpha.
I’m laying in bed waiting for Brendon to come to bed when my door flies open and then shuts fast. I hear the harsh breathing of someone who has rushed past their limits. As I fly out of bed the light flicks on. “Daniel, what the hell are you doing?” I demand as he holds his hand up a sign he needs a min to catch his breath. For him to be out of breath means he pushed harder or faster than normal telling me he has something important to say and couldn’t wait “should Brendon be here as well?” I ask him and he nods regaining his breath slowly. “hey babe, Daniel just burst through the bedroom door, and he's indicated you should be here for what he has to say.” I link him I don’t get an answer but through the bond, I feel his surprise and hurry to get to me. Grabbing a bottle of water I hand it to Daniel and motion to the sitting area. Walking over “sorry I didn’t me any disrespect I just didn’t want anyone to hear me knock and I can't link you. So I figured if they heard your door open and close it was an omega or your mate.” he says as he sits down. He's a smart wolf and since the bonds that held him back are broken he is showing that he is smarter than they gave him to create for or was allowed he will make a great addition to the elite warriors.
Brendon walks in and comes up to me giving me a kiss and sitting down. “what's up man?” he asked looking at Daniel. “ oh um can you have that witch girl come here to what I overheard she might have a better understanding of it?” he asks “you mean Luna Bronwyn. And yes ill link Sam to have her come here.” his eyes popping out of his head it looks like he's gonna be sick. “L…LLL…Luna no one said she was a Luna, oh god I called her witch girl and Sam's cousin oh my god.” I see him spiraling down a bad road we are all programmed to respect our leaders and other leaders and he now feels like he has disrespected a Luna his wolf is not gonna be in a good place over this. “Daniel no one knew she was a Luna until after you left the room earlier. It was kept secret because she's a witch and her mate is an alpha wolf not looked kindly on by some.” I tell him and can see some of the stress leave him as he nods knowing firsthand the truth of my words.
When I linked Sam I told him to ask Luna Bronwyn to my room and not to knock just walk in so when the door opened again I was not surprised but Daniel snapped his head up. The emotions that played on his face were fast surprise relief and then guilt. “Luna Bronwyn I must apologize for any disrespect I have shown you since your arrival.” Daniel says bowing his head she giggles like full fairy-sounding giggles we all look so confused. “how could you have known silly we don’t tell others outside the packcoven to the outside world we are poor misplaced witches looking for protection.” making everyone laugh the thought of this woman needing protection from anyone is something to laugh at. “anyway what can I do for you alphas and warrior?” Daniel laughs at that but both me and Brendon smirk. “please I’m no warrior lost soul yes warrior no. But I overheard Tara on the phone with someone earlier and I think she finally hitting for her home game.” he says looking around this has us all looking to him to keep going “I don’t know who she was talking to but she seemed very happy and squealed about them finally having a blood witch and getting the right potion. And she needed twice the dose so I’m thinking she planning to dose you both this time.” pointing to us as he finishes “did you say blood witch?” Luna Bronwyn asks looking a little green. He nods his head. Jumping up she is pacing the room mumbling to her self when she says. “do you have a hunter in your cells on that would have been working with the hunters that have your mate?” looking confuses I shake my head but Brendon being the smart wolf he says “would a half hunter half-wolf work?” her head snapping to Brendon “how is the half breed connected to them?” she asks “from what I have gathered her brother was one of the higher-ranked hunters in the team that attacked up my father killed him.” I tell her. She smiles wide “yes the blood of the half breed would do just the job.”
“When can you get some of the half breeds blood?” Luna Bronwyn asks. “I could get it now if you like?” I tell her she thinks for a min tapping her finger to her mouth she then says “I need to take the blood from the half-breed myself think you could arrange a meeting to ask it?” “does it have to be given freely like with the locator spell you working on?” shaking her head I get a wicked grin and look to see Brendon with the same look. “oh how to get her right where we need her. hmm, I have a plan that would now work for you on getting the blood.” she nods looking confused. “Brendon love are you just as tired of playing her game to see what she has planned next?” I ask him with an evil smile on my face he nods and says “now how will we get her where we want her?” he says tapping his finger to his so kissable lips.
