Daniel pov
There is a knock on my door at the crack of it too damn early. Falling from bed staggering to the door I see alpha Liam's oldest son Kaleb standing there. Looking down at the young pup I am confused as to why he is here. Too young for training or alpha business. I am sure I look confused when he starts to giggle. I want to growl out at him but I remember he is only 10 so I hold my irritation. “mother wants to see you right away.” he says in his small sing-song child voice. His eyes are the only part of him that shows that he will be a force one day. He may look sweet at first glance but once you look him in the eyes you can tell he is all alpha. “where is she and do you know why?” even if he does not tell me why I have a feeling he knows I dought anything gets past this pup. He shrugs his shoulders smirks and points down the hall. I go to ask again when he giggles and runs off. Growling in frustration I head in the direction he pointed.
Finding Luna Bronwyn wasn’t as hard as I thought. She was in the garden off the kitchen. Heading out to her he greets me before I can say anything. Must be part of her magic or something as she does not have wolf senses. “I asked Kaleb to get you like the envelope is finally clear of all spells and you can open it,” she says holding it out to me. Not sure if I want to but I take it and just stare at it. “I have a feeling this needs to be done with everyone including your and Liam,” I tell her and she just nods like she senses the same. “I already sent the kids to tell everyone, they should be in the king's office by now. I wanted to give it to you as it was meant for you. I also wanted to see if you got the same feeling about it I did.” she shrugs and heads inside. Signing I ask myself if I will ever get used to the whispering winds packcoven and their ways. Shaking my head knowing I will one day as the love of my life is from that pack as well and just as special as the rest of them.
Grabbing a cup of coffee heading upstairs I see an omega following behind me pushing a cart with coffee and muffins. “is that going to the king's office?” I ask her “yes alpha” she whispers out. Looking at this young wolf I get the feeling she is new to this job “just started in the kitchen?” “yes, alpha when you told us about being able to work where we wanted I ran to the kitchen and asked to be trained.” she rushes out her cheeks turning red. Stopping I look at her again I knew she was from my pack I could feel it but I also knew she was young. “how old are you….. I’m sorry what is your name?” her cheek gets brighter as she looks at me. “it's Ashley alpha.” she whispers “nope no alpha business right now.” I smile down at her watching her eyes grow wide “how old are you, Ashley?” I ask again I see her thinking hard then looking up at me “ 12, sir” yep I was right still too young to have a wolf. She should be playing or doing kid things and going to school. “why the hurry to work little one?” she looks to me and her eyes wide but with that glow of tears ready to fall. Stopping so that she will stop I wait not wanting to hear it but need to. “my mother was killed by my father right after you banished him. And I have a little brother so I am working to take care of him.” she tells me flooring me. “do you have another family here?” she just shakes her head nope not on my watch “how old is your brother?” “two” she whispers. “here ill take this the rest of the way to the office. You run along and I will come to find you later when I figure a few things out okay?” I tell her already planning to link Noah as soon as she leaves. She is about to say something when I tell her I won't take no as an answer. He nods walking off.
“Noah what do you know about a couple of orphan pup female age 12 and young male age 2” I link as I push the cart to the king's office. “all I know is that their father is a strong supporter of alpha Greene and killed his chosen mate leaving the two pups. The girl won't let anyone take her away from the boy. I know I keep trying to get her to go to school I was going to talk to you about her tonight.” he tells me. I say nothing back just thinking about how this young pup is doing all she can to raise her brother but she needs to be a kid too. “I have a crazy idea, my love,” I tell him when he doesn't reply I continue “I feel drawn to the pup she strong-willed and I want her to be a kid what if we take them in and raise them?” I ask. I can feel the surprise from him but also the love at what I asked. “I agree” is all he says cutting the link. With that, I link one of the den mothers and have her locate both pups and have them moved to my suite. And to stay with them until I return.
Opening the door to the office I see that everyone is already there. Pushing the cart in I get weird looks but no one says anything. Grabbing my cup of coffee I go and sit next to Noah who is so full of love he looks to be glowing. I kiss him softly and whisper an I love you against his lips. Once everyone has coffee or tea and is seated I pull the envelope from my pocket.
