Chapter 51
Helping Noah clean up the mess in the kitchen and on Jordan we start to hear giggling coming from upstairs. Bringing a smile to my face hearing Addie giggling. Soon I hear the shower start and the loud sounds of ash’s feet on the stairs. “daddy what happened to her?” Ashley demands. “honey that's not something I can share. If she wants you to know I’m sure she will tell you. But please don’t bug her okay?” nodding I can see the wheels turn in her head “she's sweet I like her do you think she would want to stay over for a while and maybe watch a movie. I think she needs a friend.” “her sister won't be picking her up for a few hours. She's not the only one that needs a friend her age.” I smirk down at glaring ash. Suddenly ash gets a sad look on her face and whispers “did she come from a pack like ours was before you?” I can hear the pain and sorrow in her voice. Kneeling so I am at her level “no my sweet girl her pack is a lovely pack I hope we are like one day.” looking up at me she throws her arms around my neck holding me tight. I feel her nod.
We hear the shower go off and I feel ash pull herself back together. This is one thing I have noticed about Ashley she will show her broken side to Noah and me but no one else. To everyone else she's strong with no weakness. “you know honey she might need to see she's not the only one who has some cracks. You don’t have too strong in front of her” I whisper in her ear letting her know it's okay to show someone your inner self. Leaning back she looks me in the eye sees the truth and nods. Kissing my cheek before she goes to help Noah. Standing up turning to see Noah smiling brightly at me. Melting my heart. “if we were alone mate” I growl out through our link smirking as I see his eyes go wide and his heart skips. Knowing the effect I have on him has my pants feeling tight.
By the time Addie makes it downstairs holding her dirty clothes. “where should I put these?” before I can answer “do you want to keep them?” Ashley crinkles her nose at the close. Addie’s eyes go wide then just slit as she glares at the clothes in her hands. Shaking her head bringing her eyes back to Ashley who is pointing to the trash can at the end of the counter. Addie looks from ash to the garbage can to her clothes a few times then nods. Walking over she dumps the clothes in the trash as tears fall from her eyes. Ash rushes to her wrapping her up in a hug. “it's okay Addie. I don’t know what happened and it doesn't matter my dads will make it better. You know why?” Addie who had wrapped her arms around Ashley holding her tight shakes her head. “because ill makes them.” ash says with a small boom to her voice. This causes Addie to break out in a fit of giggles. “you cant order an alpha silly” Addie says through her giggles “I can if he's my daddy. Right daddy?” both girls looking at me Addie with a surprise can she look and ash with her you better play along look. “yes princess whatever you want.” I say as I bow to her. “NO NO NO your not the boss of daddies I am,” Jordan screams at his sister standing with his feet apart and his hands on his hips. The whole room breaks out in laughs at Jordan's outburst.
Once we see Addie has calmed down we gather at the table for a waffle. Addie ate her weight in them and I was good to see. “my shoes were too big huh?” ash asks and Addie nods with a mouth full of waffles. Making me wonder how long it's been since she ate. A squeeze of my thigh has me looking at Noah. His eyes look sad as he looks at Addie silently asking for information. I opened our link and pushed the memories of this morning to him his claws slip out and into my thigh making me hiss. The talking at the table stopped cutting the link I look at the girls. Ash is glaring knowing I was just linking Noah. She knows I told him and not her so I link her “princess I want her to open up to you and tell you herself okay?” she nods and I say “thank you” “so Addie since your sister not coming for a while wanna watch a movie with me you can pick?” Ashley asks her. Addie looks at me like she's asking what to do. “don’t mind them they will leave us alone we can watch in my room. We can have popcorn and candy.” ash says while eating like it's no big deal. She looks over at Addie when she finishes talking and notice her looking at me “you know Addie in here they are just my dads, not the alpha and Lune okay. And as my friend, in here you get to pretend they are just regular parents okay nobody special.” ash says before I can tell Addie she's free to do as she wants here. I nod to let her know I agree with ash. I hope that she and ash could use each other to talk about the things they have gone through.
After breakfast, Ashley usually does the dishes we have and everyone helps rule in the house. Noah being a better cook has banned me from cooking unless it's to pick up the phone and call for delivery. So I help clean up after he's cooked and ash helps with the dishes. Today both Noah and I tell her we will do the dishes. So they can go up to her room and do girl stuff. Grabbing Addie's hand heading to the stairs she calls back to Jordan to come along if he wants to watch the movie. He looks at the girls, and jumps from his chair and runs over to her. She is a great big sister. “you know we got lucky when you met that one” Noah says in my ear before kissing my neck sending shivers down my spine.
