Chapter 10
After a while, I calmed down and dad tucked me back in bed. Well, at least I have a month to get this under control before I head off to school. Laying in bed thinking things over I decided I will talk to Luna Bronwyn about having my door room in the magical being building. I had opted to be in the duo nature building but with this new gift awakening, I don’t want to risk a nonmagical being hit. I know there are spells in place to protect each other from magic and death blows. Moons Academy is a safe place for all young beings.
Finally able to get back to sleep after making my list of what I need to do before I leave now. Adding fire control practice to my daily things to do. Like I didn’t already have enough to do. Well on the bright side fire can help protect the pack so it's a good thing right. The feeling of unease was still in me but fading fast. I wish I could remember what was in my dream that frightened me so much but I can't remember it. Maybe Luna Bronwyn will be able to see what I can. I had thought that being tapped into the earth and having wings was the extent of my magic. Still years away from mastering earth magic and my bond to the earth now I have fire to work on as well.
Letting the darkness take me over praying for a blink and well-rested wake-up.
The next morning I woke feeling sore and achy all over. Hoping a hot shower will help. Staggering to the bathroom and stripped off my night shirt stating the shower. The room slowly filled with steam. Dropping a citrus shower fizzle the room fills with the comforting scent. Stepping in I jump back the water is freezing. Sighing out I shower in the cold hot water annoyed as I leave the shower. Dressing my bra feels too tight so I switch to a sports bra. The snug fit a little tighter. Slipping a tank and shorts on. The waist is a little loose and the hips a little tighter. What the hell did they shrink in the wash. The longer my bra is on the more my back starts itching and aching. Signing out I slip on one of my one-piece bathing suits. Finally having boob support and nothing pressing into my back. Stomping my foot what the hell is going on.
Taking out my phone I call Luna Bronwyn. “ Ashley dear what's wrong I can feel your annoyance through the phone?” “My clothes are not fitting right and I can't put any pressure on my back without it itching and aching. The shower water was freezing on my skin but the room was full of steam from the shower. I turned the cold water off and the hot water was still freezing.” I unload on her dropping onto my campfire smelling bed. “hmm well sounds like I need to have someone cover my classes today and come see what's going on on on with you. I'll call Sharon to come as well.” before she even finished her sentence Sharon appeared in my room. Screaming out being startled by her. “Jimminy Christmas women are you trying to kill me?” Luna Bronwyn is laughing on the other end saying she will be here soon. Hanging up I set my phone down. Looking up at Sharon she's just staring at me with calculating eyes. Though the winds in the royal pack have some fae blood and have a connection to the earth their magic is different than mine so I couldn’t connect with the land as they do. Kevin and Jillian are great. Jill got her magic later in life but because her family has always been able to talk to the land her fire was a similar bond. So she was able to get it under control fast.
“something is wrong. I lost your bond last night but I couldn’t get up and I can't teleport with the guys wrapped around me. These are the last pups I am having. Six is enough right?” she says rubbing her belly with nothing but love in her eyes. Five years ago she escaped a horrible situation and found her mates here. She had once thought she was a witch pretending to have no magic. She came to warn the queen and my father of Kane Greene. Her mother had a full-blooded royal fae locked away and forced mating and the creation of an offspring between her and him. The hope was that she could have the magic the offspring would have. After finding a journal she had hoped for a male so she could take the magic. But when she had been a female she gave her to Kane. Her plan had to have Kane take the power and then take it from him or wait for the offspring of Kane and Sharon.
Sharon hid that she had magic for years and it was that saved her in a way. Thought Kane and Edith had thought they killed her after he and her brother raped her. Tossed her away like garbage. The goddess had been with Sharon all along helping to free her. The goddess can just do things without fate and order stepping in. But she can give pushes so we all can help ourselves. When I was younger I prayed to her every night. At twelve I had started to give up on a better life. I could have gone rogue and ran away but who would have taken care of Jordan. He was just an itty bitty baby at the time. Right before I turned twelve alpha Greene was killed and the pack was freed from him. The queen appointed my father as the alpha. During one of the meetings to go over the green lake pack and the needs of the wolves I met the newly appoint alpha Daniel winters. After talking with him for a few minutes I left. Next thing I know miss Ellen is packing me and Jordan up and moving us to the alpha’s suite.
