Lady Olivia looks at everyone then down at the prince and princess with nothing but love. “the prophecy said that aria would have twins one to rule the supernaturals and one to rule the guard. Nowhere did it say that they would both be male pups. We have all thought through the years that the alpha has to be male. This I believe is wrong as does our goddess. There are a few that already are embracing she-wolves as the next alpha of their pack. Take the green lake pack they were once ruled by a tyrant of an alpha who only saw she-wolves as weak and for pleasure. The pack is now run by a kind-hearted man who not only took in a couple of pups as his own he named the eldest a she-wolf as his heir. The times are finally changing for the better us all.”
I feel the blush on my cheeks as lady Olivia was talking about me. Looking over I see a smile full of pride on Ashley's face and I can't feel anything but happiness. Noah's hand finds its way to mine giving me a loving squeeze. Soon the area calmed down again but an older wolf stands asking to speak. With a nod from the queen, he asks “which of them will be the ruler of all and who will be the alpha of the guard?” this is a good question but then I see the smile on aria’s lips telling me she has already had a plan for this. “we talked a long time about this and yes normally the firstborn is the heir. We have two packs both just as equal one can't be without the other. So we decided that when the time comes the twins will choose their path. They both will train to run both and then decided later who will run the kingdom and who will run the guard.”
I can't hold the smile I have due to this being the best plan I have ever thought of for a set of alpha twins. Sometimes the firstborn is not always the better option. What if the older one does not want to be the alpha. Looking up at aria I nod in agreement. Looking back at Ashley she looks at me and then asks “if I have twins one day can I do that too or do I have to give it to the firstborn?” “what would you like to do little one?” she doesn't wait she just answers “I want to do what the queen is doing with her twin.” “then let's make it a rule right now in our pack that we follow that example,” I say to her getting the biggest smile from here that I have seen.
“dear alpha sparks did I just hear you say you plan to make what the queen is doing a rule in your pack from here on?” lady Olivia's voice booms over the crowd putting me on the spot. Standing to address the wise old oracle “lady Olivia you heard right from not on in the green lake pack if twins are born to the leadership they will both be trained for the title. The twin will then decide who will have the title. But I would like to add that if both twins want to share the title they will. Sometimes two heads are better than one.” hoping I didn’t overstep when I spoke. Slowly looking over everyone on the stage I was greeted with so many smiles and nods.
Damien steps up looking out at the wolves gathered around “is there anyone here that objects to this rule?” it's so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Aria hands princess Blake to her father raising her hands “from here on this will be the practice of all packs as a royal decree,” lady Olivia hands her the silver pack dagger. Aria slices her palm letting three drops of her blood drop to the ground. I soon feel the power of her ruling settle over me. It feels like something is being sent straight to my soul and settling in . a warm hug wrapped around my heart. Placing my hand on my heart I look around and see all alphas and betas doing the same thing. As a change of fate, I notice that the gammas and deltas are doing the same thing. I look around confused as to what is going on I see lady Olivia raise her hand. “as a reward for being so faithful to the goddess she has chosen to have the gamma and delta lines be bloodline bond as the alpha and beta. This way with every generation like the alpha and beta will get stronger and better fit to help run the packs.” we are all cheering. That’s when I see Kyle recording on his phone. He has a look of disgust on his face. Reaching over to ash to get her attention once she looks at me I nod in his direction. She looks over and nods seeing the same as me.
Once the instructions are done the party begins. The area is filled with music laughing and just a bunch of wolves having fun. Not all wolves could be here at the start we still needed to have a strong patrol going. But I did notice a few slips away that were replaced with ones that were on the portal. Taking that as a cure I kissed Noah and the kids and headed to the border to give someone a chance to meet the new royals and have a little fun.
As I was leaving I saw Ashley pick up two glasses one she dumped the potion in.. she smiled at me and headed over to Kyle. I waited long enough to see him drink the whole glass. Makes me smile to myself and my sneaky pup. Hitting the tree line both beta Shelly and alpha jay had joined me. “alpha Daniel I know we had talked about Addie one day being the gamma of the green lake but I had this overwhelming feeling back there when the ruling settled over us.” before she could continue “I have a feeling Ashley will be asking for her to be her beta. Jordan was first going to be announced as heir but something happened and he won't be able to fill that role. As the alpha and beta are usually best friends from a young age I feel that is where this is heading.” I tell her making her nod in agreement confirming what she felt. The packs that are here right now have grown so close to each other that they are all family to me. I have decided that if the hidden flower wants to stay around that I would give them space on my lands to grow. I have yet to tell the young alpha yet he's still suffering the loss of most of his pack.
