Aria pov
Before we left the house Sam sprayed something all over him. He tells us to block his scent so no one knows he was with us. The plan is to run south to the border once we cross alpha stones nephew's mate will mask our scents so we disappear into thin air at the border. We will then get onto a waiting car and head north. Sam says by having our scents travel south they will look for us to the south. “smart” Ava says “I like how this alpha thinks and seems to care. And did you see Damien claim us in front of them?” “ yes but Brendon didn’t. Do you think he doesn’t want us?” I asked her she snorts and says “Blaine said they are being careful. They have never heard of having two mates outside of twins. But he wants us they both do.” “How would that work they just share me like I'm a toy?” I ask her hoping she might have an answer. Laughing so hard it feels like she's rolling around in my head so I block her “bitch” I mumble.
The five of us get to the border and Sam whistles. there's an answering whistle and a big guy and an average girl step out of the bushes. I sniff the air but I can't smell anyone but us. Smirking she holds up her hand for us to stop. She tosses sprays to us all then mimics spaying for us to spray ourselves. I was confused for a second til I realized they want us to disappear still on the territory. Oh, these are some very sneaky and smart wolves I think to myself. Spraying it on she makes the keep going motion until all the bottles are empty then motions us to step over. Sam had told us not to cut ties until the alpha can bond us to the shadow pack. He said by cutting ties the. bonding right away it would be harder to track us even for a witch.
We cross the border waving to Sam as we follow Sean and Morgan to the car they have waiting. It’s a tight fight due to when they set out they were only picking up two people not four. Once on the road, Morgan became talkative. Wanting to know all about it. Myself and, charlie didn’t feel like talking much and all Kade and Kari said was that they are the mates of the future gamma and delta. I have a feeling this will be a long drive. So I decide to take a nap I feel safe for the first time.
A soft voice is calling my name shaking me a little. Cracking my eyes I see Kari. She smiles “we are T the hotel they said we will be staying the night here with the shadow packs gamma. She has clean clothes for us if we want to shower and I don’t know about you but one sounds like heaven.” Kari says seeming happy for once. We never talked before and she was never mean but she always looked just as sad but with a lot fewer bruises.
Stepping into the room we are met by what most would call a pixie. Alpha stone told us his gamma was small but I figured for him an average-sized she-wolf would be small. But this she-wolf is maybe two inches taller than me bringing her to 5’5 and I think if you soaked her she would weigh 100 pounds. But the aura she has screams teat me I dare you. I have no dought she could take any male on and win. She has long blonde hair with chocolate eyes a scar that runs down her cheek must have been from silver. It does not take away from how pretty she is no I think it adds to her beauty. She welcomes us and ushers us in showing us the bags saying “I didn’t really, know what you liked so I just went with sweats for the guys and leggings for the girls tomorrow after we get to the shadow pack we can make a list of what y’all need.” She drawls out with a southern accent telling me she wasn’t born to the shadow pack but worked her way up to her rank. Also, she's a female warrior I know the alpha said his gamma was female but it was hard to believe. Women are not allowed to train or hold rank in the blood moon pack. I look at Kari her eyes wide in wonder. She links me “do you think they will let me train and be a warrior like my brother?” I nod looking at this strong she-wolf in front of me. “I think we sill like it in this pack women look to be treated fairly,” Ava says I can't help but smile. Kari then looks at me and says “aria when was the last time you had a hot shower?” looking at her I try and remember but can't so I shrug my shoulders. “ I thought so.” She states grabbing a bag then my hand and taking me to the bathroom. “take a long overdue hot shower don’t rush just enjoy the rest of us can wait until morning if you use all the hot water.” My eyes tear up at the thought of a hot shower and I nod closing the door.
Have you felt something so amazing you don’t know how you lived without it before? That’s what this hot shower is to me. I don’t know how long I just stood there letting the water run over me washing away years of cold showers.
