Taking off heading to the fairy grove as fast as my wings would take me, fear rose in me. Ashley is in the fairy grove and if the prince could go missing there so could she. How did he go missing in the grove you can't get through without permission? Trying to link with Ashley I find I am either still too far from her or I am blocked either way it's causing more panic and anger to arise in me. Why did I leave her there? I could have sent a messenger to my parents but no I had to go and tell them alone. I could have taken her with me she's part fairy she could have survived up there. She has fire magic, but is her inner flame strong enough to battle the cold from the peak? Lost in thought when all of a sudden pain rips through me. My neck and chest are on fire the searing pain has me seizing up in pain. Falling from the sky slowly shifting back to human as the fire burns deep down to my core. My painful roars turn to screams as I shift back. Lose contentiousness at some point as one moment I am free-falling the next I’m hitting the ground losing all the air from my lungs. Coughing up blood before everything goes black again.
A burning pain rushes through me taking my breath away as I am jolted awake. A silent scream leaves me as something snaps in my and my breathing turns shallow. My heart breaks over something I have no clue about but one thing is clear this is a pain Ashley is feeling, and if it's this strong for me what must it be for her. Slowly rolling my head spins so fast and hard that I lose whatever was in my stomach. A gasp comes from behind me, spinning I see the princess. Looking for something to cover myself as you never want to be naked in front of a fairy who has you in their sights. “oh no what happened are you okay? Here let me help you, my love.” Maebug says rushing to me. “stop princess. I am fine. Where is Ashley?” “who?” she huffs out crossing her arms her wings turning a bright hot red. “look princess you have a mate out there trust me I know for a fact you do. But I am not it that I promise you. My mate is Ashley and I won't betray that bond. As you must know by not I have marked and mated her meaning I could not even if I wanted to mate with you as my soul is hers now.” I tell her in a strong voice watching as she bulks then her eyes widen in shock before her eyes drop to my neck finding the mark Ashley left on me. How she didn’t notice the one mark on my skin that's not a shade of black or blues. The flames around a full moon are bright red, orange, and yellow a silver and gold crown of dragons breath is wrapped around the center of the crown and the moon blanks me as I know that there is a second mate but as for the princess it looks complete. With a growl and stomp, she shoots away “good luck finding your whore she ran away.” then she pops out of sight.
With a loud hard roar and my intent to have her stop leaves me dropping her from the sky to the ground. Stalking to where she fell her wings bent at an odd angle telling me one broke on her fall. She will be grounded for a little bit. Screams and cries come from her as I get closer “what do you mean she ran away? What happened?” I growled out. When she shrinks back away from me flinching I want to let up and lessen my aura but I know she did something to my mate. “I don’t know where she went he was heading that way.” she points towards the lake. Makes sense that's where she said her pack is going home that's where I would go. “what did you do to her?” “nothing. Ask rem came home then Kal went missing and she got freaked out is all I did nothing my love believe me. You are supposed to be my mate and we will be mated and bring give birth to a new hybrid leader of the clans.” she huffs out through her tears. “for the love of the goddess Maebug princess of the fae you are not nor will you ever be my mate. I was there when you were born and I felt nothing for you NOTHING!!! get it through your fucking head.” I roar out so loud the trees shake. Turning from her storming away tired of her games. “good luck finding your whore she was heading right for the group of rogues near the lake and you know what they do to females? You will be mine do you hea…” taking off at a run losing her rants to the wind. My dragon is still in a lot of pain and I can't shift. As I run I catch sight of some cloth in a tree knot hole. Grabbing it out it's a pair of trousers a size too small but they will work.
Praying to the goddess I make it to the lake before those monsters could touch my Ashley. The closer I start to slow down I need to be smart about this. Looking around the ground coverage sucks here if I could shift I could blend into the shadows of the trees but I can't so I do the next best thing. I climbed up a tree and jumped from tree top to tree top until I find the camp of rogues.
