Daniel pov
Today we are heading into the town close to the green lake pack lands. Meeting with the humans that run the town so we can talk about the area jobs and the knowledge of us near them. Aria is a strong believer in everyone trying to work together though we all understand that we still need to be secret due to our long lie that we are a myth. The mayor of the town Tom Harper has had knowledge of our kind for many years and has worked with us in the past due to his sister being mated to a wolf. Though she is at a different pack it was made known of the green lake pack due to she and her mate had to let the alpha know when they came for a visit at first causing him to be angry she had to ask for permission to come to see him thinking she was in a cult or an abusive situation. They finally decided to let him in on the secret if he kept it to himself and he has.
With the site to the school and dorms being mapped out and the need to ensure that jobs for those who want to work out of the pack and goods can be delivered to the pack. Also with the expansion of the farm and garden and the stables along with some land to raise some livestock, there will be a lot of work going on nearby and we don’t want to risk anyone getting too nosey or hurt trying to figure out what is going on or starting rumors of a cult settling in nearby. The last thing we need is the human government getting involved. Their rules and laws don’t always see eye to eye.
Noah stayed back at the pack while I brought Bridget with to help with things shes so fast and sneaky with her hacking it could come in handy. If the meeting doesn't go as aria and I hope then she can wipe anything that shows us here and what we are. She can also plant info to save our hides if that happens but from what I have heard is that he's a good man with a good head on his shoulders. He's kept a secret for years about who his brother-in-law is so that has us giving him some trust. But you don’t know a person until you can see into their eyes and judge the soul within.
Heading downstairs to meet with the group that is going with us my brother kade is here looking like he just rolled out of bed, “couldn’t be bothered to look decent kade?” he glares at me “next time Kari thinks she is in labor and Zane is on patrol you can be the one she calls to help her to the clinic just to find out its gas at four in the morning asshole.” I try to hold in the laugh as he glares at me I don’t envy him one bit no way would she call anyone other than him or Zane for that the downfall of being a twin I bet. “you and I both know the only way she's calling me is if she cant get a hold of you Zane or aria first and then it will only to say find them now bitch.” at that we both laugh as my wonderful sinfully good looking mate walks in with a coffee for me oh how I love this man. Taking the coffee I decide ill be a nice brother today and ask kade if he wants it as he reaches for it I drink half then hand it to him “if I didn’t need it so bad I'd throw it in your face dick.” slowly our relationship is starting to heal from years of not so good shit.
“tomorrow night I want us to have dinner with Kari, Zane, kade, and James maybe start a weekly family dinner night for us I want to work on building a healthier relationship with them.” I link to Noah. Feeling his love through the bond and his arms snake around my waist pulling me to him close “I think it's a wonderful idea ill talk with Kari today you talk to kade.” he links back as he kisses my neck making my knees weak. Lust is rolling through the bond like the ocean in the middle of a storm... I can feel his need pressing into my ass and I want nothing more than to rip his clothes off him right now and have my way with him. Bridget being the annoying shit pulls me away from Noah “not today you horn dogs not today we have stuff to do. No shoo you big oversized pooch.” she says making shooing motions with her hands to Noah. With one last peck on the lips, he raises his hands in defeat and walks away. This little she-wolf I swear she's more than just a wolf. She does not care about your rank or who you are she just says what she wants when she wants and acts like we all just have to take it. It has gotten worse since she has been spending time with lady Olivia. She won't tell us what they are meeting about but her you will all listen to me attitude has grown not that it was small, to begin with. I once asked her brother alpha, Liam, what he did to live with her he just laughed at me and said she's my problem now. You can see the love he has for his baby sister but the relief of not having to deal with storm Bridget.
I have a theory that when she finds her mate it will settle a little okay maybe it's hopeful thinking but it's something right. “okay you big ogres let's go get this done I cant wait to see the tech they have or don’t have.” Bridget says heading out the door to the two SUVs waiting outside. “she at it again?” Damien asks as he watches her bound down the stairs to the first SUV where aria is talking to Brendon. “again? That implies she stopped at some point” I laugh Damien cocks his head “she has to sleep sometimes right?” he asks and I have to think I don’t think I have ever seen her sleep “yet to be determined but if you see it please we need picture proof” I say shaking my head “good luck man” he says patting my back on what I'm not sure the meeting or Bridget sleeping and giving us all peace but he's right I will need luck.
It's an hour's drive to the green lake pack land border and another 20 to town all in all it's a nice drive. Aria wanted to come but I didn’t want to risk her here being so far along with alpha twins. Twins are pretty common just not triple royal alpha twins. She's already looking like she's due and she's two months behind Kari who is due next month. Looking at them side by side you would think it's the other way around. It's not that I don’t trust her warriors and the few I have but it's just anything could happen and the alpha kings agreed so with a vote she could have overridden it was decided one of the kings would come. They decided Brendon would be coming along Damien saying he has a better head for thinking than him and thinking is what is needed there not his hot-headed tempter. The goddess sure did know what she was doing with those three they balance each other well. Both aria and Damien have tempers and Brendon seems to know how to cool them down and make them think.
“Alright, so the goal for today is to get the permits to build the few shops we want in town and to answer questions about the building going on.” Brendon says he likes to plan “I think we should also talk to him about letting the main families in town know about us and see what he thinks” Bridget's pipes up. “what why?” I ask this coming out of nowhere. “well it would be a good idea if this human town was able to know and work with us it would show we are working in peace” she says and I’m not sure I hate this idea or love it.
