The next day we all met in my father's office to go over what happened and figure out how this new world works having a dragon walking or flying around is big news the flux in wild magic I am sure everyone is feeling the effects of the barrier being lifted. While in the meeting I can see Sharon stealing glances at Mia. I can see the uncertainty in her. Though uncommon to have a pup with someone other than your mate it does happen. Waiting for uncle Liam to arrive I can feel Chad's nervous energy. When my dad walks in he whispers something to my father. With a nod my father clears his throat. “looks like one of the local coven leaders wishes to join in this meeting with the dragon lord. This is already a crowded room shall we meet in the dining hall?” with a nod queen aria nods and puts her hands out to be helped up. As we file out I pull back from my mates both giving me an odd look I shake my head and then nod towards Mia. They nod and continue. Grabbing hold of Mia's hand to pull her back. She looks at me oddly but it was Kalaban who spoke: “what's wrong ash?” “nothing Kal just needed a privet girly talk with Mia is all.” giving what I hope are huge puppy dog eyes. “what's up? Are you okay? Is it the twins?” her hands going straight to my stomach. With a light chuckle I shake my head “no, no it's not me. Has Kal told you about Sharon yet?” she nods looking at me oddly “do you accept her as yours?” tilting her head and looking at me like I have grown three heads “of course why would I know neither of them had a choice in her birth. Making my way to the front of the dining hall where my family sits during pack meals. Our table is on a slightly raised stage so my fathers can look at each wolf in the room's eyes when speaking to them. And so my father can see the door. He doesn't like surprises. Standing with a start Rhett slams his fist on the table. “control your magic or I will control it for you. How dare you try and intimidate others with a show of power.” his voice booming through the room. I can feel the earth around us vibrating to his tone. I can see this man shrink two sizes and gulp in the air trying to breathe through Rhett's aura.
Settling back down he looks to the queen “m’lady aria I do apologize for my overstep in your realm I just don’t take kindly to using one power over others.” with a wave of her hand “nope no need I am too big to stand and yell at someone its nice to know I can count on you to be on the side of we don’t rule in fear but in loyalty.” Rhett nods back. They will have a good relationship and its what's best for us all. Not so much for those who have other thoughts. With a start looking at king Damien for too long again I elbow Rhett “what” “he reminds me of alpha Adam. But I am forgetting som….” shooting up he rushes to the kings. With that, the meeting was dismissed. When chads uncle came close I could feel the dirty air along with chads nervousness. Before he could reach us Rhett grabbed chad kissing him deeply. Chad didn’t fight nope he melted into Rhett and only turned me on.
