Chapter 102
Torvald led Jovita out of the room, and it got her thinking. ‘How stupid we were back then to think he was the one that saved me.’
FLASHBACK
Princess Jovita put her head side to side, filled with fear, hearing the voice of the enchantress. She does not remember anything that had happened to her and how she got to where she was. She does not understand why she can’t find her voice and was too scared to open her eyes.
“Princess Jovita, I am King Torvald, and you are saved now,” King Torvald untied her after the enchantress left.
King Torvald picked her naked body up and felt her wrapping her hands around his neck. He speeds back to the castle and arrived before daybreak.
“It was overwhelming, but I managed to save her. I will have to hunt down the vampires another time. She is in a poor state,” King Torvald said when he walked into the vampire throne room where Princess Jovita’s family was waiting, never leaving to get sleep.
“Jovita!” Princess Jenny exclaimed, crying and snuggling her face against hers. Princess Jovita could feel her sister, but she was not able to speak or open her eyes.
“Why is she not opening her eyes or speaking?” Princess Jenny asked.
“I am not sure. She might be in shock,” King Torvald said. “Follow me,” King Torvald said, walking to his room with Princess Jovita in his arms.
“I will leave you. Use my room for as long as you need,” King Torvald said to the women before leaving with her uncle and Ondrink.
END OF FLASHBACK
Juno was glad to see Jovita but the bruises already appearing on her body, the bite marks, and her tear-stained face angered him. ‘Torvald made fools out of all of us all these years. He didn’t save her back then, he tricked her. But how?’ Juno thought.

“What do we do now? We can’t just leave them at the mercy of Torvald,” Ondrink said, feeling hopeless, knowing that it won’t be up to him whether they stay or go because if Deacon ordered them to leave, he will have no choice but to obey his kingship authority.
Ondrink thought back to how Torvald fooled them into believing that he was the one that saved them and search for the answers in the past.
OWEN ONDRINK’S FLASHBACK
“Where is Prince Juno?” King Torvald asked, only realizing now that the prince was not around.
“He left shortly after you. We are not part of his pack, so we cannot let him know that Princess Jovita is here,” her uncle said.
King Torvald noticed that Ondrink was staying behind at his bedroom door.
“They are perfectly safe,” King Torvald said.
“That they are,” Ondrink said.
“Ignore him; he never leaves his mate’s side,” the uncle said.
“The sun is about to come up so I will retire into darkness,” King Torvald said before speeding off.
During breakfast, the royals were informed by Princess Jovita’s uncle about what happened.
“Prince Mano! That is why we are not getting through to him! Find my boy now!” Queen Makens demanded.
King Makens and his sons stood up from the table. None of them has even taken a bite of their food.
“I will get the army ready,” Prince Deacon said.
“If I may be so bold to ask for a driver and a car to take me to Prince Juno’s pack so that I can let one of them mind link him,” the uncle asked Queen Makens.
“Of course,” she said, signaling one of the footmen to come closer.
The uncle arrived just before mid-day at Prince Juno’s pack and they immediately mind-linked him that Princess Jovita was at the castle. Prince Juno turned the car around and speeded over as fast as the car could drive.
Ondrink got pulled out of his thoughts at the sound of Deacon’s voice. “We will leave,” he said out loud, but mind linked Ondrink to something else. ‘You and the shamans and shaminkas will stay behind. Only magic will bring that bastard down.’
‘You had me worried there for a moment,’ Ondrink mind linked him back as they started to walk away from their current position.

Torvald walked a naked Jovita into the dining room and Juno looked in horror at her bruised body, the bite marks that had blood flowing from them, and her tear-stained face. Jovita’s poor state reminded him to back then when Torvald saved her. ‘Only he didn’t? He bloody fooled us all.’
JUNO’S FLASHBACK
Prince Juno arrived back at the castle that evening, “where is she?” He was eager to see her and hold his fated mate.
“She is this way, but I should warn you, she is not herself,” Princess Jenny says as they walk over to King Torvald’s room.
The twin’s uncle was standing outside King Torvalds’s room and when he saw Prince Juno, he knocked on the door, “King Torvalds, Prince Juno has arrived.
“What is he doing in there? Are they alone?” Prince Juno asked.
“It is his room, and he did save her. She appeared to only want him near her,” Princess Jenny informed him.
Prince Juno walked into the room and was appalled to find his mate in the arms of the Vampire King.
“I am here now, my darling,” Prince Juno tried to reach out and touch her.
At the sound of a man's voice, Princess Jovita clung to King Torvald and buried her face into him.
“Come, you should come to the lycan wing,” Prince Juno tried again, but she wanted to know nothing.
“She has been like this all day,” King Torvald said.
“Open your eyes my darling, look at me, it is me, your mate,” Prince Juno tried again.
“She won't open her eyes and she has not said a single word all day,” Princess Jenny said, looking worriedly at her sister.
“I suppose her having to look at women being tortured and raped has made her fearful to open her eyes,” Prince Juno said.
“Don’t remind her,” Princess Jenny said.
Princess Jovita felt conflicted. She has been trying all day to open her eyes and speak, but does not seem to be able to. She wanted to reach out to Prince Juno but every time she thought about him, her mind and body yearned for King Torvald, the man that saved her.
“Don’t worry about it, I will look after her for as long as it takes. It is not as if I need sleep or anything,” King Torvald said.
“Come, dear child,” the aunt said.
Prince Juno didn’t want to leave Princess Jovita’s side, but felt he does not have much choice since she does not want to be near anyone besides the Vampire King. ‘Is it because he saved her?’ Prince Juno wondered, looking over his shoulder back at his fated mate.
END OF JUNO’S FLASHBACK
“What is it that you want?” Jovita choked.
“You know what I want,” Torvald hissed, pulling her in and wrapping his arms tightly around her naked body. “I want you to be my queen and have my offspring.”
