Chapter 151

For the next month, Prince Ra visited Princess Freda every night, having dinner with her in silence, listening to her talking about whatever came to her mind, refusing to respond. After dinner, he will take out his sexual frustrations on one of his wives, every single one of them not complaining.

One evening, on his way back to his room, Zuberi intersected him. “How long is this going to carry on?”

“As long as it takes,” Prince Ra said, trying to brush her off.

“You know there is an easy solution to make her accept your marriage terms,” Zuberi said.

“What are you talking about?” Prince Ra asked, turning to face her.

Zuberi pointed at the scar in her neck. “Your real father gave me this the day he claimed me as his forever mate. Since the both of you are hybrids of the same species, by marking each other she will forget all about marriage and go to your bed without objection.”

“Really?” Prince Ra asked, curious.

“I promise,” Zuberi said, not telling him that by claiming her he will also give up all his wives and nothing will make her happier.

“Why only tell me now?” Prince Ra asked.

“It just occurred to me that there is still so much you don’t know about our kind,” Zuberi said with a smile.

“So how do I go about it?” Prince Ra asked.

“Have you never felt the need to shift in her presence?” Zuberi asked.

“I have,” Prince Ra admitted.

“Well, the next time you feel you want to shift, just go with it. Your wolf's side will know what to do,” Zuberi said before walking away.

Prince Ra turned around and made his way back to Princess Freda’s room.

“Did you forget something?” Princess Freda asked when Prince Ra opened her bedroom door without knocking.

“Yes, I did,” Prince Ra said.

“What?” Princess Freda asked, looking around.

Prince Ra took off his shirt and was about to take off his pants when Princess Freda stopped him. “Please, please don’t.”

“It is not what you think,” Prince Ra said, turning his back to her before dropping his pants and shifting into his wolf form.

“What are you doing?” Princess Freda asked as if he was going to answer her.

Prince Ra jumped onto the bed, but it send Princess Freda getting off the bed. “Please don’t hurt me!”

An unexpected growl escaped his throat. ‘I should have explained myself to her first,’ Prince Ra thought before he jumped towards her, making her crawl up into a bundle, her arms over her head, sobs escaping her.

Prince Ra shifted back into his human form, naked in front of her. “I just want to claim you as lycans do.”

“No, I don’t want you to claim me,” Princess Freda cried in fear.

“Fine, then why don’t you claim me first? Shift into your wolf form and bite me right here,” Prince Ra said, pointing at his collarbone.

“Oh, I miss understood you,” Princess Freda said, taking her arms away from her head, slowly opening her eyes before shutting them again when she saw him naked.

“So, can I claim you? At least as a lycan?” Prince Ra asked.

“What is the difference between what we are now and when we mark each other?” Princess Freda asked, her eyes still closed.

“I am not sure, but my mother suggested it, thinking it will help our situation,” Prince Ra said, feeling uncomfortable standing around naked, so he pulled the bedsheets and wrapped them partly around him to hide his groin.

“Our situation?” Princess Freda asked.

“Yes, our relationship or whatever you want to call it,” Prince Ra said. “It is either we claim each other right here and now or we un-mate,” Prince Ra gave her the ultimatum.

“Just like that?” Princess Freda asked.

“Fine, I Prince Ra,” he started, but she jumped up and put her hands over his mouth. “Don’t! I love you and I want to be yours!” Princess Freda confessed, opening her mind to him again.

Prince Ra let go of the bedsheets and took her hands off his mouth before wrapping them around her, pulling her in for a kiss.

Princess Freda allowed him to kiss her. His kiss was gentle and deep. Princess Freda slipped her hands around to his back, exploring his hard muscles with her elegant fingers, feeling his erect manhood pressing against her.

“Make love to me,” Princess Freda whispered.

Prince Ra could hardly believe his ears, pulling her tunic over her head before turning her towards the bed, laying her down, his lips not leaving hers, his hands exploring her body.

Prince Ra stopped abruptly. “I want to do right by you. I cannot give you the wedding you want but we can still have a private ceremony with my other wives.”

“Does it really matter whether we make love now or after a ceremony?” Princess Freda asked, her voice filled with lust, heat burning between her legs.

“I know that if you were in your right mind and not filled with lust right now you would feel differently,” Prince Ra willed himself off her.

Princess Freda blocked her mind from him again and pulled the sheets over her body, feeling vulnerable and confused at his actions.

‘He is toying with me,’ Princess Freda thought, looking away from him.

Prince Ra put his pants on and walked back to the bed, to the side where she was sitting. Prince Ra took her chin. “We will be wed tomorrow and then we can make all the love we want to make,” he said before kissing her, but she did not respond.

“You are free and no longer have to stay in your room. I will send your sister wives to be, over in the morning to get you ready for the wedding,” Prince Ra said before grabbing his shirt and leaving her.

Once Prince Ra left, Princess Freda search the wardrobe for something appropriate to wear, and after getting dressed and wrapping a scarf around her head and face she quietly opened her bedroom window. With her good night vision, she scanned the palace and calculated her jumps. ‘Prince Ra said I would have been able to jump from the third floor without breaking a bone so if I can manage to jump to that roof and then that one then to the ground, I should be fine,’ Princess Freda thought, refusing to be toyed with.

Princess Freda gathered her dress at the hem and tied it just under her rear end before taking a deep breath and leaping to a veranda two meters to her right and two meters down, landing with a thud.

Sanura heard the sound outside of her room and stood up to inspect but by the time she opened the doors to her veranda Princess Freda was already gone, having used her vampire speed.

Princess Freda didn’t know the way back home and after miles of running using her vampire speed, she found herself lost in Istanbul. After feeding off the first human she could find that happened to be a tradesman she discovered the route she needed to take to get back home. ‘At least I ran in the right direction,’ she thought to herself, setting off again as the sun started to rise over the horizon. Princess Freda thought that she won’t have use of her vampire speed during the day but with the rising sun her speed was not affected. ‘Must be because I am natural born,’ she thought as she made her way back home.

When princess Freda arrived home she wondered if her house will still be her house as she jumped onto the patio that lead to her bedroom. After forcing the door open, she was relieved to find sheets had been thrown over the furniture. Princess Freda went to take a cold bath first since the boiler was not on and after dressing in her much-loved Edwardian-style dress, she set out again, sneaking over to Prince Deacon’s mansion, wondering if she will find Emily or her father, Wynn there.

‘What was I thinking?’ Freda thought to herself when she found the furniture also covered with sheets, no one around.
