Chapter 174
Queen Lana looked at the baby with disgust, “There is no way she is one of us.”
“Get out!” Prince Mano demanded.
After the midwives finished up with Panya everyone left.
“I am so sorry,” Panya managed to say but prince Mano stopped her.
“Don’t say another word,” Prince Mano said, getting into the bed next to her.
“What will happen now?” Panya asked, looking at her daughter.
“We will give our daughter a name fit for a queen,” Prince Mano said, making sure that Panya understood that he accepted the child as his.
Panya kissed her child that was sucking her breast.
A week after the birth of her child Panya was summoned by queen Lana. Instead of waiting for prince Mano to accompany her, she went alone.
When prince Mano found only Panya’s daughter with a wetnurse in the room he knew that something was not right, “Where is princess Panya?”
“Queen Lana requested for her a few hours ago. She never returned.
Prince Mano ran over to his mother’s quarters while mind linking her, ‘Where is she?!’
‘Where is who?’ Queen Lana mind linked him back.
‘Don’t play dumb! Panya?’ Prince Mano asked.
‘She was a deceitful little wh0re. What does it matter? We all know you have not yet claimed her as your forever mate,’ Queen Lana mind linked him.
Queen Lana jumped up from her small study table in her bedroom when her bedroom door burst open.
“Where is she?” Prince Mano demanded to know, ready to rip his mother’s throat out.
“She is probably in the same place as Zara,” Queen Lana said readying herself for an attack.
“What have you done?!” Prince Mano growled, feeling his wolf rip through his bones.
“She is dead! You deserve better than a lying wh0re!” Queen Lana said, shifting into her own wolf form.
Prince Mano also in his wolf form started to circle her, ‘Did you kill Zara?’
‘Zara died because of birth complications,’ Queen Lana used her wolf authority to make prince Mano bend to her will.
‘How can you do this to me?!’ Prince Mano snarled at her.
‘You are to tell everyone that Panya died, that you found her dead in your bed, and everyone will believe that she has died from birth complications,’ Queen Lana mind linked him forcing her will onto him.
‘And the baby?’ Prince Mano mind linked her back, wondering if he should run and save the baby and wondering how Panya died without him feeling it.
‘The baby will grow up as a princess and will be matched with a suitable prince. Who knows, perhaps one of your brothers or even you,’ Queen Lana mind linked him, already having the baby’s life planned out.
Prince Mano was about to leave when queen Lana stopped him, ‘Be sure not to take the baby near the nursery. Prince Ra was a hybrid and therefore the baby might be as well and the hunter babies might kill her if they come in contact with her.’
Prince Mano growled before running off. When he got to his room he shifted, not caring if the wetnurse sees him naked, “Leave and come back when it is time to feed Phoebe.”
After getting dressed he picked Phoebe up, tears running down his face, “I should have not left her side.”
‘Mother had Panya killed,’ Prince Mano mind linked all his brothers at once.
‘What are you talking about?’ Prince Deacon was the first to respond.
Sanura looked at prince Deacon’s frowned face, “What is the matter?”
“Prince Mano said my mother had Panya killed,” Prince Deacon said, now worried about Sanura’s safety.
“What?!” Sanura exclaimed, getting off the bed and putting a nightgown around her body.
“It is best not to challenge, we don’t want you to end up dead,” Prince Deacon warned her.
“So, you are just going to do nothing?!” Sanura asked, filled with anger.
“One day I will make my parents pay for their crimes, but that day is not today. It was clear that Panya’s baby was not prince Mano’s,” Prince Deacon tried to calm her down.
“So, she deserved to die?” Sanura shouted.
“Did prince Ra not kill one of you just for looking at princess Freda the wrong way?” Prince Deacon reminded her that supernaturals were in control.
“What about her baby? Prince Ra might be ok with one of us dying but not his own child,” Sanura asked.
“My mother won’t kill a child with royal blood running through her veins, especially a supernatural one,” Prince Deacon said, wrapping his arms around Sanura, “I won't let that bitch harm you, now calm down.”
***
A young woman arrived at the castle, escorted by her uncle and aunt.
“I really don’t understand why I am forced to get married and produce babies against my will,” Jovita protested. A few weeks ago, Jovita found out that she has to join the royals of the supernatural world.
“Why is it only me? Why not Jenny? Why does she get to be with her shaman?” Jovita continued to argue, walking into the lycan private hall, king Makens and queen Lana sitting on their thrones with their sons and their wives around them. Prince Mano was the only one not present.
Jovita and her family gave a little curtsey.
“Welcome to the castle, “ Queen Lana was the first to speak.
“We are honored to be here, your majesties,” Jovita’s uncle and aunt said.
Jovita just rolled her brown eyes, and it didn’t go unnoticed by queen Lana.
“The young prince that you are to wed has not yet arrived. Chione, please will you show princess Jovita around,” Queen Lana said.
Chione stood up and walked over to Jovita, “Please to meet you,” she greeted with a little curtsey herself.
“Vasili please walk them to their room,” Queen Lana continued to instruct.
“Bleidd, follow up on what is holding up the young prince, he should have been here by now,” King Makens ordered Bleidd.
“Perhaps the fact that he is being forced into an arranged marriage, but I am sure he will be all too happy the moment he lays his eyes on princess Jovita,” Prince Deacon snorted making Sanura a little bit jealous.
“Why don’t you focus on getting your wife pregnant and keep your snarky comments to yourself,” Queen Lana said with a stern warning.
“I like the idea of that,” Prince Deacon said standing up from his royal chair that was next to his father, holding out his hand to Sanura.
Sanura took his hand, but she was not smiling.
“Don’t be angry, I will put a smile on your pretty face, soon enough,” Prince Deacon chuckled with a wink.
Prince Bleidd arrived at the newfound prince pack but the prince himself was nowhere to be seen.
“Please accept our apologies. He is only eighteen and still so wild at heart,” the pack Beta’s wife that was only half royal said.
“Where can I find him?” Prince Bleidd asked.
“We have sent for him,” the pack Beta said.
“I will need a place to sleep as it is already too late for me to return home,” Prince Bleidd said, taking his jacket off.
“It appears you came without a valet?” the Beta said, signaling a footman to come closer.
“Indeed, I did, but I prefer to take care of myself,” Prince Bleidd assured him.
“Take prince Bleidd to the room titled West,” the beta said.
“Yes, sir,” the footman said, before walking slowly, for prince Bleidd to follow him.
“Tell me about this prince Juno,” Prince Bleidd asked the footman.
“Wild and free and well, um, popular,” the footman said.
“Popular?” Prince Bleidd asked.
“The ladies favor him, your majesty,” the footman said, already regretting his words.
“Has he ever been fated?” Prince Bleidd asked.
“No, he just turned eighteen,” the footman said coming to a halt in front of a door that had a placket on top saying ‘West.’
“What does his age have to do with him finding his fated mate?” Prince Bleidd asked, walking into the room.
“None of his family male line has ever found their fated mates before the age of eighteen and since he was believed to be the last royal blood either than you and your brothers we all just assumed that he won't get a fated mate,” the footman said, scratching his head.
“He can still find a fated mate in a human princess,” Prince Bleidd informed him.
“If I may be so bold as to ask your majesty, why don’t your parents take this lycan princess for one of you?”
“Because then none of our children will have fated mates one day,” Prince Bleidd said, taking his suitcase from the footman.
“Dinner will be when the dong rings, the footman said about to leave.
“I will have dinner in here. Please tell the prince that we will leave first thing in the morning,” Prince Bleidd said, unbuttoning one of the buttons of his shirt.
The footman went searching for the prince and found him at the stables in the arms of a young maid, “Your majesty.”
“Let me guess, the royals have come to rein me in for their so-called princess? Don’t they know that I already have what I want?” Prince Juno chuckled, his arms wrapped around a pretty young maid under a blanket.
“I am sure she is as frilled about it as you are,” the footman said, jealous that the young maid was not in his arms as he had his eye on her for the longest time.
“Who do you think you are talking to?” Prince Juno stood up before shifting and running off.
