Chapter 105
JUNO’S FLASHBACK CONTINUED
Prince Juno, confused as to how a werewolf that has been fated, loved another made his way over to King Torvald’s room to confront him but on his way there he was shaken to the core when his mind was filled with the lovemaking moans of his fated mate. He has been suffering the heartache of Princess Jovita betrayal every time she was with Torvald.
Prince Juno could feel the anger boil in him and went into a sprint. He does not knock and kicked the door in. “How dare you?!”
King Torvald raised his head, looking at Prince Juno, his manhood deep inside Princess Jovita. “It is what she wants.”
“She is my fated mate!” Prince Juno shouted.
“I am not one to deny a princess satisfaction,” King Torvald said, continuing what he was busy with.
Prince Juno shifted into his wolf form and charged.
King Torvald was about to grab Prince Juno thinking he was charging for him, but his grasp was empty. King Torvald’s eyes fell on Prince Juno, whose teeth were sunk into Princess Jovita’s collarbone.
King Torvald and Prince Juno both looked at Princess Jovita as her eyes flutter open. She did not even cry out from Prince Juno’s bite.
Princess Jovita reached out and stroked Prince Juno’s soft fur. She could feel her own wolf rip through her, forcing her to shift. Before King Torvald could object, Princess Jovita claimed Prince Juno back, releasing her from the love spell that the enchantress put over her.
‘What the hell am I doing here?’ she asked herself.
‘F*cking the Vampire King,’ Prince Juno mind linked her, responding to her thoughts, the disgust in his mind making Princess Jovita feel embarrassed.
Princess Jovita jumped off the bed and ran out of the room.
“Where are you going, my love?” King Torvald asked.
Prince Juno growled at King Torvald before running after Princess Jovita.
Princess Jovita ran to the front door of the castle, but being in wolf form, she couldn’t get out without someone opening the door for her. She turned around to find another way to exit but came face to face with Prince Juno.
They stared at each other for the longest moment before she sprinted past him.
‘Where are you going?’ Prince Juno asked.
‘Far away from here!’ she mind linked him back.
Prince Juno ran after her; towards the sunroom, as the doors were always open during the day.
END OF JUNO’S FLASHBACK
“Let’s leave here. We can take Jessica with us,” Juno said.
“They will never let us be,” Jovita sobbed.
Juno got into the bathtub with his clothes and pulled Jovita into his arms. “Then we disappear. I doubt Jessica will leave Deacon in any way.”
After the longest silence, with only Jovita’s crying breaking the silence, she finally spoke. “Let’s leave as soon as possible,” Jovita said, and stood up.
Juno followed her out of the tub and took off his wet clothes, leaving them behind on the bathroom floor.
He wrapped a towel around himself before attending Jovita. He dried her off, dried her hair, and dressed her, as she was in a trance for the most part.
‘Jovita and I will be leaving. I need to take her away from here so that she can heal. Please don’t stop us,’ Juno mind linked Deacon.
‘Of course. Do what you need to do,’ Deacon mind linked back.
‘Take care of my little girl,’ Juno mind linked.
‘Take her with you. I will have Ondrink wipe her memory again. This world is not safe for her,’ Deacon mind linked Juno, looking at a curled-up Jessica on his bed.
‘I agree,’ Juno mind linked back, relieved.
‘You guys should slip away during Queen Jovita’s and Wynn’s wedding in a few nights' time,’ Deacon suggested.
‘Sounds like a plan,’ Juno mind link back.

Ann walked for hours until the sunrise.
“You are going in the wrong direction,” Paris chuckled, finally making himself known.
“Paris!” Ann exclaimed and flung her exhausted body into his arms.
“I will take you back to your dorm,” Paris said and swept her up even though he knew that the better thing to do was to take her far away from the higher council. ‘Why did Shysie abduct her and left her here in the middle of nowhere at the mercy of the elements?’ Paris thought, and it was at that moment that he decided to make her disappear. ‘Shysie will think her dead. I will explain to her parents what I have done and why,’ Paris thought, thinking her parents will be happy about it.
‘Where to hide her, though?’ Paris wondered as he was speeding to nowhere in particular.
Paris decided on Koh Rong Island, Cambodia. Along the way he compelled Ann to call her parents, using his phone to tell them that she is taking a little holiday as he didn’t want anyone to stress over her. They traveled through the United States and took a break just off the Canadian border. He did consider the penthouse in Toronto but thought it best not to stop by any familiar supernatural hangouts.
While having breakfast at a dinner Paris looked at Ann who seemed happy and content.
“What?” Ann asked when she caught Paris’s eyes on her.
“Nothing,” Paris smiled, wishing he can stay with her in Cambodia but knew that all supernatural ties should be cut in order for her to live a normal human life.
“How did you know where to find me?” Ann asked after a sip of her coffee milkshake.
“I have been watching over you. I saw Shysie speed off with you and followed her,” Paris chuckled.
“All this time?” Ann asked.
“All this time,” Paris confirmed.
“Why? I thought there is no us,” Ann reminded him of his words.
“Just because there is no us does not mean I don’t love you,” Paris confessed.
“If you loved me, you will hear me out,” Ann said, grabbing the opportunity to talk to Paris and explained to him what he really saw.
“I am all ears,” Paris said and cut into his breakfast bun before biting, indicating that he won’t interrupt since his mouth will be full of food.
“Michael was at the beach where we made love but not for the reason you think,” Ann started to explain. “I thought you were dead and wanted to be at the beach. He came to get me again early morning but had to force me to leave with him again. He had to swim after me to get me to leave.”
“It still does not explain how you jumped into bed with him long before then. You just took their word,” Paris remined her.
“I didn’t have any memory,” Ann tried to defend herself.
“You were still you. You told me you loved me, yet you do not love me enough to speak to me first when people talk shit about me,” Paris pointed out.
“You can believe what you want but if you drink my blood, you will see there is only you. I love you and well, if there is nothing, I can do to prove it to you besides you drinking my blood then why are we here?” Ann questioned, angry.
Paris reached out for his sparkling water and drank, not answering her, just studying her.
“Say something,” Ann demanded.
“I love you too,” Paris said with a smile.
“You mentioned that, but do you love me enough to forgive me?” Ann wondered.
“You are forgiven,” Paris said with a smile, wanting to spend his last few days with her making happy memories that he can carry with him for the rest of his lonely life.
