Chapter 116

"So, my sister has been missing all this time?" Wynn confirmed.
"No one has seen her or heard from her," Michael told him.
"What about Torvald?" Wynn questioned.
"Only Ondrink knows where he is and even Ondrink disappeared along with Soroya, Juno, Jovita, and Jessica," Michael informed Wynn when he realized that Wynn does not have a clue what went down these past few months.
"They disappeared by choice?" Wynn asked, concerned.
"Yes," Michael said.
"Leave the Island. There is nothing here for you," Wynn said with his eyes on Ann that was sitting on the beach wanting to be with her but at the same time, he felt the need to make sure his sister was ok and knew that he won’t be able to focus on finding Shysie if he has to worry about Michael stealing his girl.
"Of course, there is something for me," Michael chuckled, his eyes also on Ann.
"If you wish to die, then go ahead," Wynn challenged.
Instead of accepting Wynn's challenge, Michael sped off. 'I will grab Ann when his guard is down,' Michael thought and left, making Wynn think he left the Island.

"Where have you been?" Ann asked when Wynn sat down next to her again.
"Refill," Wynn said, revealing the bottle in his hand.
"I think I just want to go to my room and cry it off," Ann said and stretch her hand to Wynn to help her up.
"Whatever you want to do," Wynn said, and took her hand and pulled her up to her feet so hard that she landed in his arms.
Uncomfortably, Ann pushed away from him with a chuckle and started to walk to her hotel room.
Wynn left a half-drunk Ann alone in her room and went for a walk himself. Instead of going to his own room, he took a walk on the beach. Every now and then, he caught Michael's scent when a breeze went past him. 'He takes me for a fool,' Wynn thought, and decided he will kill Michael the next time he sees him.
Wynn spent the next two weeks trying to woe a broken heart Ann while being on the outlook for Michael.
"Good morning," Wynn greeted Ann when she walked into the breakfast hall. Wynn stood up and pulled out a chair for her. "I thought I was having breakfast alone again."
"Your lonely mornings are over," Ann chuckled and sat down, taking his plate of food and putting it in front of herself.
Wynn chuckled and walked over to the buffet table to fetch him another plate.
"Sorry for being so distant these past two weeks," Ann said when Wynn sat down again.
"I understand. How are you feeling?" Wynn asked.
"Don’t want to talk about it," Ann said and stuffed her mouth full of food.
'I should just compel her to forget Paris has ever existed,' Wynn thought.
"What?" Wynn asked when Ann's eyes stretched big.
"That is my ex!" Ann said and ducked under the table.
Wynn's eyes landed on Paris and Jenna that walked into the breakfast hall. "Crap."
Paris looked at Wynn and then back at Jenna.
'He just looked straight at me without acknowledging me.' Wynn thought it strange, unaware that Paris had memory loss.
"Table for six," Wynn heard Paris request from the server that led them to where Wynn was sitting, Ann still hiding under the table.
"You should come out from under the table," Wynn said, his own head under the table.
"I can’t. What if he sees me? He has a new girlfriend? She is probably the reason he dumped me," Ann said. 'Or did I dump him?' Ann wondered; her memory foggy.
Ann started to crawl away on all fours, so Wynn decided to do the same and got to the ground, crawling after Ann.
“What on earth are they doing?” Jenna chuckled, looking at the two crawling away.
“You get strange people,” Paris chuckled and took his seat, feeling slightly nervous about meeting Jenna’s family.
“Don’t look so nervous my family will love you,” Jenna chuckled, trying to put Paris at ease. She just sat down when her aunts and their husbands walked in. “Here they are now.”
Paris looked around and stood up. Jenna rushed over to her family while Paris waited at the table.
After warm introductions, they all sat down for breakfast.
Outside the restaurant, Ann got to her feet and rushed off, Wynn hot on her heels. Ann rushed straight to her room.
“How dare he?” Ann asked, filled with rage.
“Calm down,” Wynn told her on the verge of just compelling her and getting it done with.
“I just remembered something,” Ann said.
“What?” Wynn questioned.
“I will have to move out of this room. I have to find a job,” Ann said.
“Why?” Wynn questioned, thinking it is a weird time for her to think about such things.
“My ex was funding my lifestyle,” Ann choked.
“Oh, yeah, right,” Wynn said. “Don’t worry about it. You have a rich friend now,” Wynn chuckled.
“No, I can’t accept your money. I will feel too obligated towards you,” Ann objected.
“Don’t be silly,” Wynn said and realized that Ann was really not interested in him in a romantic way.
“You stay here, and I will go back to the restaurant to eavesdrop on your ex,” Wynn said, thinking he should go talk to Paris before he proceed thinking he should lift Ann’s compelling. ‘But first I need to find out why Paris is with another woman and not Ann.’
“Hear if he says anything about how long they plan to stay? I can just hide out in my room while he is here and once he leaves, I will find a job on the island and another room,” Ann said.
“Don’t be silly. I told you I will take care of you,” Wynn assured her and left before she could object again.
Once Wynn left, Ann stood around, not sure what to do with herself. ‘What if he comes here? I should check out now. I just hope the room has been paid up to date and I won’t be held responsible for it,’ Ann thought and grabbed a few things.
