Chapter 229. End
"Why would he betray me? How is he even alive?" Prince Deacon asked, not believing that Kerraelas betrayed him.
'I don't know why or how. I knew he was not dead, but I don't know why he gave your parents the information,' Wynn mind linked.
"My mother killed, -never mind, I see he is still alive." Prince Deacon was about to tell Wynn that his mother killed the Shaman but then he saw in Wynn's mind that they made contact.
"Where is he?" Prince Deacon asked, wanting to know where the shaman was.
"I told him to go to the nearest town North," Wynn said, finally able to speak.
"Guess he didn't listen," Prince Deacon said, pointing at the wolf they both recognize as the Shaman in full wolf form.
The shaman finally regained his strength and managed to complete his shift.
Wynn took the backpack off his back and took out his spare pants and threw it at the Shaman. The Shaman shifted and put the pants on.
"I think the neighbor just saw me do that," the Shaman said, looking at Princess Beverley's former house.
"Don't worry about it, she saw once and since then the whole town thinks she is crazy, so no one will believe her," Prince Deacon said.
The Shaman undoes the spell he placed on Prince Deacon.
Prince Deacon walked to the limo without a word.
"Where are you going?" Wynn asked.
"To kill the King and Queen," Prince Deacon said before getting into the limo.
"Wait up," Wynn said, getting up, knowing that Prince Deacon will need his help, thinking back at that time when he tried to take on King Makens but was no match but he himself felt he could resist King Makens.
Wynn convinced Prince Deacon to not act hastily and to plan his attack. After waiting for a few years, Prince Deacon showed up unexpectedly at the castle, with Wynn at his side. Since there was a brewing Supernatural war slowly servicing again with hybrids and vampires attacking Lycan packs, Prince Deacon thought it a good idea to attempt to kill his parents and have everyone think it was the vampires.
"Fancy seeing you here? Did you come for the protection of the council?" Queen Lana asked when Prince Deacon and Wynn walked into the Throne room.
"Perhaps we came to help protect you since the council is under attack by rogue hybrids," Prince Deacon said, shutting the doors of the throne room behind him again.
"Where is our guard?" Queen Lana demanded to know, looking at her husband.
"They are outside, fighting off the attackers," Wynn said.
"Why is this the first we hear of it?" King Makens asked, standing up.
Prince Deacon and Wynn walked right up to them before launching forward, shifting and attacking at the same time; Prince Deacon going for his mother's throat and Wynn going for King Makens, pushing him off his feet with a force so that he could not help Queen Lana.
"No!" King Makens screamed when he felt Queen Lana die. King Makens shifted and backed away.
Prince Deacon started to walk to his father, but his father stopped and stood his ground, thinking about the Raven's foresight.
King Makens forced Prince Deacon to submit, low to the ground. Prince Deacon tried to get up to fight his father, but like before, he was no match for his father.
Wynn stood at Prince Deacon's side and tried to focus on his inner strength, and then he noticed that King Makens was retreating while Prince Deacon was able to lift himself off the ground.
'How is this possible?' King Makens asked himself, feeling himself being forced into submission, thinking it was Prince Deacon.
Distracted by what was happening to him, King Makens gave Prince Deacon the upper hand that charged for his father's throat and got a perfect grip.
'Sorry Father, but if you kept your wife in check, mine would still be alive,' Prince Deacon mind linked with his father, feeling his struggling father's pulse slowing down. Prince Deacon could feel himself getting stronger while his father was slipping away.
Wynn thought it best to leave just in case the Kingship gets passed to him. 'what does this mean? How did I even do that? Does it mean that my bloodline outranks theirs?'
Wynn jumped through a closed window with force, making the glass pieces shutter all over the place.
Prince Deacon let go of his father's throat. His father's lifeless body fell to the ground.
Prince Deacon felt his wolf explode, his bones breaking, stretching, and healing. Prince Deacon’s Kingships reached every supernatural, bringing the supernatural war that was just about to break; to a stop.
With his mind protected by the enchantress’s spell intact, no one could see that it was he who killed his parents. Guards stormed into the throne room, but Prince Deacon already left through the same window that Wynn jumped out.
Prince Deacon ran to the nearest river to wash the blood off his fur by submerging himself completely in the river. By the time he got out of the river, he could hear all the lycans howling in celebration.
The next evening, a council meeting was held and all the royals of the different supernatural species that resided at the council attended. Much to Prince Deacon’s surprise, they all voted that he needed to be mated to a pure royal Lycan to rule.
“Princess Jovita can be made to be fated to you,” King Thorvald said.
“She has a fated claimed mate,” Prince Deacon rejected the suggestion.
“Didn’t the raven, a year ago, say she was about to have a child? A girl? When she becomes of age, I will take her as my claimed mate and queen,” Prince Deacon suggested.
“They were found in Barrow Alaska, her sister Jenny died trying to protect the child, that according to witnesses was also killed. Ondrick claimed that the child was in fact his and Princess Jenny and not Princess Jovita’s and Juno’s,” King Thorvald said.
“Princess Jonvta and Prince Juno are your new king and queen, until such time that they have a daughter for me to marry,” Prince Deacon said and stood up.
“Where are you going? This meeting is not done and you can not just decide who is King and Queen,” Queen Amirah said.
“I am not going to break a claimed bond between two originally fated mates. You want a King with a Queen and until I have a Queen I will not rule,” Prince Deacon said and left.
Princess Jovita and Prince Juno were forced to accept the crown and so they did, but they had a great secret; Jovita gave birth to a little girl the day they got attacked by vampires and her sister died protecting their daughter. With Ondrink's help, they manage to switch their daughter with a baby that was stillborn by c-section without the mother’s knowledge.
Prince Deacon went back to England to rebuild his house exactly in the way it was before. He only returned to the council once a year for the annual meeting.
From across the street, Emily watched him becoming a heartless man, a womanizer; every night a different woman. Even though she wanted to ease his pain to let him know that she was living across the street in her old house, having compelled the owner to sell the house to her, she knew that one day the right woman will walk into his life. One day, he will be fated to a woman of his own kind. One day, he will have children. One day, a woman will make him happy again, but that woman will never be her. On the few occasions that a woman was not staying over for the night, Emily will visit him and watch him sleep.
Every year, when Prince Deacon left for a few days for the higher council, Emily will not follow. When he did not return on his last visit, she got worried and went to find out what was up and if he was ok. Even though she was heartbroken that he found a mate again, she was happy for him. A bit cross about the way he went about it, but nonetheless she was glad that he had a fated mate. Word reached her a few weeks later that his mate Jessica was abducted, and she came to the rescue. She did not expect for her and Deacon to end up making love again, but they did. When Deacon claimed Jessica a few months later, Emily was broken up and ended up in Prince Mano's bed.
Present day. (Read Chapter 119 and 120 for a recap)
After Prince Deacon stormed into Prince Mano's room and caught them in bed together, followed by Prince Mano attacking Prince Deacon, Emily decided to leave them to it.
“I am not doing this,” Emily said and left the room. Emily went to her own room, which she has not been in for a few months as she has been sharing Mano’s room with him all this time.

"Ann?" Emily asked, surprised to find Ann in her bedroom.
"I need your help," Ann stated.
"Sure. What can I help?" Emily asks.
"I need to find my best friend," Ann said.
"You know I can not help you with that. She is safe, so why mess with that?" Emily asked.
"How can you be sure that she is safe?" Ann challenged.
"I am the wrong person to ask for help. You should speak to Ondrink," Emily suggested.
"You know as well as I do that he won't help me." Ann sighed.
"I will talk to Soraya. Perhaps she will convince him to get you an update," Emily offered.
"Soraya?" Ann asked, confused.
"You don't know. Ondrink fated to her. They are like a thing now," Emily chuckled.
"At least one of us gets a happy ending," Ann said and walked towards Emily's bedroom door.
"Jessica also got her happy ending," Emily said after Ann.
"Did she? Do you really believe so? They can't even be together," Ann disagreed.
"I know, but she is safe and one day they will be together." Emily smiled.
"And you are ok with that?" Ann asked, wondering if Emily still had feelings for Deacon.
"I will always love Deacon, but that does not mean that I can't learn to love another. Actually, I have found another and we are very much in love. Well, I know I am. " Emily smiled at herself, having said the words out loud.
"You have? Anyone I know?" Ann questioned.
"Prince Mano," Emily smiled.
"Good for you," Ann said half sad as she realized that everyone has found love besides herself.
"Don't look so sad. You will find love." Emily tried to give her a comforting word.
"How can I when all I can think about is Paris? " Ann admitted.
"So you have decided between Paris and Michael?" Emily questioned.
"It does not matter. Michael hates me and Paris is getting married." Ann stated, the sadness back in her eyes and voice.
"If the wedding is at night, I will help you crash it," Emily offered, meaning it.
"He is happy and I love him enough to let him be," Ann said. "Please let me know if you get info on Jessica. ,"
Ann left the higher council feeling that there was nothing more there for her. She walked in the busy New York streets as she wondered what to do with her life now. 'Should I try harder to find Jessica? Or is Emily right? Should I let her be for now?'
Ann wiped the tears that fell from her eyes when her mind went back to Paris. For a second she considered crashing his wedding. 'No. I can't do that. I love him and he deserves to be happy.'
