Chapter 195

Gina clapped her hands over her mouth at the beauty of it, “It must have cost a fortune!”
“Mrs. Green thought you deserve a better ring. It is a family heirloom,” Prince Mano explained.
Gina held her hand out so that he could put the ring on, “Yes, yes, a million yesses!” she said happily.
Prince Mano was about to take the cheap band off her finger when she stopped him, “No, just add the ring.”
“Why,” Prince Mano asked, slipping the ring onto her finger.
“Because it will always remind me of us,” Gina said, cooping his face in her hands, before kneeling to face him. Gina’s lips found his and they kissed for the first time. After an intimate kiss, Gina looked into his blue eyes, and he into hers. “I love you,” they said at the same time, followed by a giggle for saying it at the same time.
Prince Mano knew exactly how to please her as he was well trained by the enchantress and he spent the night making gentle sweet love to Gina, spending more time on her body making sure she does not experience too much pain, taking her virginity.
The next morning after only a few hours of sleep prince Mano was looking at Gina, while she slept.
When her eyes fluttered open, he remembered that she had something to tell him as well, “You were going to tell me something last night.”
“Good morning,” Gina said, smiling.
“Good morning,” Prince Mano said, kissing her.
“I forgot what it was,” Gina lied, fearing that if she told him that she was the one that killed the nuns he will no longer love her.
“Lie,” Prince Mano said, tickling her.
“No, no stop,” Gina laughed.
“Tell me,” Prince Mano said.
“It is not important,” Gina said, getting out of bed.
“It seemed important last night,” Prince Mano urged.
“I am sure Mr. and Mrs. Green is up and waiting for their breakfast,” Gina said, pulling away from rince Mano.
“Promise you will tell me before the day is over?” Prince Mano asked, curious.
Gina ignored him and puts her night robes on before walking into the bathroom to wash up and get ready for the day.
Prince Mano followed her into the bathroom to get ready himself but got distracted by her naked beauty and they end up making love again. “I thought I will still be sore from losing my virginity last night, but I am not,” Gina said afterward while washing up.
“It is your vampirism that healed you I guess,” Prince Mano said, pouring water over her body while they both sat in the tub.
After a busy day taking care of the Greens and the property, Gina and prince Mano finally found themselves in each other’s arms, making love again and again.
In the silence of the night, stroking Gina’s hair that was laying on his chest rince Mano could not help but press the matter again, “Please tell me what you wanted to tell me last night.”
Gina took a deep breath, “I am responsible for what happened at the convent and chapel,” she whispered.
“What do you mean?” Prince Mano asked, hoping it is not what he was thinking.
Gina sat up, pulled the bedsheets up, and hugged them while explaining what happened that morning.
“I, well,” Prince Mano said, sitting up, looking at her, at a loss for words.
“I am a monster,” Gina said, tears flowing down her face.
Prince Mano wanted to comfort her, but he was fighting with himself, ‘It is my fault, I did the undoing spell,’ he thought to himself, blaming himself.
“Where are you going?” Gina called out to him when prince Mano ran out of the room, still naked.
“I need to clear my head. Don’t wait up,” Prince Mano said, making his way to the front door.
Gina fell with her face in her pillow to muffle her sobs, ‘He hates me.’
As soon as prince Mano exit the house he shifted right into a trap. The hybrids that sold shaman Khelben to the enchantress were looking to return their sale to her when they finally tracked prince Mano down.
Before returning him to the enchantress they planned to question him regarding the shaman's whereabouts.
‘Gina will think I have abandoned her,’ Prince Mano thought to himself, collared like a dog, walking on a leash.  Feeling hopeless as the will to escape has been compelled out of him. The shaman necklace that shaman Khelben made him was hanging around the neck of one of the hybrids.

Gina woke up to a knock on the door, “Gina it is nine, I decided to make breakfast if you two lovebirds are hungry,” Mrs. Green’s voice came from behind the door.
“I overslept, late-night, see you in a bit,” Gina said, sitting up, and looking at the empty bedside next to her. She waited most of the night for prince Mano to return, ‘I must have fallen asleep.”  Gina got out of bed and went to the bathroom to splash some water on her face before getting ready for the day.
“Is Mano not joining us for breakfast,” Mrs. Green smiled.
“He left last night and never came back,” Gina said.
“Oh, dear, should we alert the Sheriff to send out a search party?” Mrs. Green asked, concerned.
“No, no, no need.  Before we came here, he used to go away into the woods and stay away for days, sometimes even weeks,” Gina said, making up some story to explain prince Mano’s absence.
“My wife never allowed me such freedoms,” Mr. Green joked.
“Mano is wild at heart,” Gina laughed uncomfortably.
Gina waited every day for prince Mano and every time she wanted to speed off to go look for him, she convinced herself to wait one more day.
After a week of waiting, she decided she could wait no more and needed to go find him and confront him. ‘He said he loved me and if someone loves you, they can forgive you anything,’ Gina thought to herself.
After compelling the Greens to forget them Gina raced off, regretting not going after prince Mano sooner.
‘Why do I smell more than one wolf?’ Gina wondered at the familiar scent she has been smelling the day after prince Mano left, thinking it was nothing more than the neighborhood dogs.
Gina sped a few miles into the woods, ‘Mano’s scent and the dogs, and something else, death?’ Gina tried to make sense of the scents she was smelling that are mixed with Manors. “Hybrids!” Gina said out loud when she finally realized that prince Mano might have been caught. Gina sped through the woods pretty fast as she had plenty of scents to keep her on the right course.
Before the hybrids gave prince Mano to the enchantress, they whipped him and tortured him to find the location of shaman Khelben. They have compelled him to tell the truth and when they did not hear what they wanted to hear they whipped and tortured him some more.
“You bloody fools!  I could have used a spell to get the information out of him,” the enchantress roared at them.  Prince Mano was so badly beaten up that he didn’t have the strength to shift into his wolf form so that he can heal the damage that was done to his human form.
“Our debt is paid since we brought back your pet,” one of the hybrids said.
“Did I ask you to bring back my pet?” the enchantress asked, choking them with a spell.
“At least half the debt?” the leader choked out.
“I want my f*ck*ng shaman or my money!” the enchantress whipped their faces with a magic spell leaving streaks of ripped-open skin; blood running from the open wounds.
The hybrids licked each other’s skins to heal up the wounds as they hurry out of the enchantress's house.
“If you return again without my shaman or replacement, I will have my hunter end your pathetic lives,” she threatened before using a spell to shut her front door.
