Chapter 37

“As you know, Andre helped me that night I claimed Jessica, and well, killed your wolf, but I have not seen him since then,” Deacon spoke truthfully.
“And his mother?” Wynn wondered.
“She is in a terrible state. Apparently, Torvald tried to turn her into a hybrid by compelling her to drink,” Deacon explained.
“As far as I know he tried to save her, but she barely made it out alive. Michael said he was sure he killed her,” Wynn said.
“My brothers will mind link me as soon as there is any word on Hannah,” Deacon said.
“Tell me, you have been inside Jessica’s head. How do I make her mine?” Deacon changed the subject.
“We could always compel her to claim you back,” Wynn suggested.
“If only that could work,” Deacon laughed at his silly suggestion.
“She saw how you treated women and the way you spoke to her, telling her you plan to f*ck her in wolf form didn’t really help either. What I don’t understand, though, is why she is not madly in love with you? I thought a shaman mating spell is as good as the real thing,” Wynn said.
“It is, as far as I know,” Deacon wondered about it.
“I still can not believe you actually claimed her. Never saw that happening again,” Wynn said.
“Yeah, I don’t know what I was thinking,” Deacon said, regretting his actions.
After a moment of silence, something occurred to Deacon, “It just occurred to me that you and Shysie are of royal descent after all, since you mated with a princess.”
“Come to think of it, you are right and since I am of royal descent and royals can only be fated to other royals, it will mean that Clarissa and her family are of royal descent as well since I mated with her two hundred years ago,” Wynn reminded.
“I wonder why she never mated with one of my brothers. I understand I had the Enchantress spell protecting me from naturally mating again, but they didn’t,” Deacon said, thinking back at how many times Clarissa came in contact with his brothers.
“Maybe she got an enchantress to hook her up with a spell after our incident,” Wynn laughed.
“Please tell me you are not going to force her to marry one of your brothers,” Wynn said when he noticed Deacon in deep thought.
“I had s*x with her one-to-many times for that,” Deacon laughed.
“So, what are you thinking, then?” Wynn asked.
“To ask her parents politely to donate their eggs and sperm,” Deacon said.
“And if they say no?” Wynn asked with a frown between his eyes.
“Jessica’s parents have agreed to have more children in the next five years and if I can prove to them that the ways of the council have changed, then they will have even more children with the help of a few surrogates,” Deacon explained.
“I have some sperm stored, so you are more than welcome to throw that into the mix. However, I want my kids,” Wynn said, wondering how it will be to be a father.
“I didn’t know you had sperm stored; did not take you for the father type,” Deacon said, wondering if he should also store some sperm, just in case.
“After finding out I had a daughter 100 years ago, it changed me. I wish I was part of Princess Freda’s life growing up,” Wynn admitted, thinking about his daughter whom he had met when she was already eighteen.
“And here I was thinking I know everything there was to know about you,” Deacon chuckled.
“I should get going,” Wynn said, putting his empty glass down on the coffee table.
“We should do this again soon,” Deacon said, walking him out.
“Definitely,” Wynn said, walking out.
When Wynn got to the compound, he noticed Paris was not around. “Where is Paris?”
“Where do you think?” Shysie said, not sounding to happy about it.
Wynn sped off towards Ann’s house.
“Hello Wynn,” Mrs. Willow opened her front door.
“Hello, Mrs. Willow. Is Paris here?” Wynn asked, picking up on her hostility against him.
Mrs. Willow stepped aside. “They are in the living room.”
Wynn walked into the house and walked toward the voices.
“Wynn, what are you doing here?” Ann asked, standing up.
“Hello Wynn,” Ami greeted.
“Ami, what are you doing here?” Wynn asked.
“I live here now,” Ami said, smiling, knowing what he was thinking.
“Your mom just allowed you away from the council?” Wynn asked, not believing it.
“Yes,” Ami laughed.
“You were looking for me?” Paris interrupted.
“Yeah,” Wynn said before focusing his attention on Ami, “when was the last time you heard from your brother?”
“Andre is taking care of Hannah. I am sure you all know that Dario is missing, so my brother is helping Hannah with the transition,” Ami explained.
Paris lets out a sarcastic laugh. “Yeah right.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Ami asked with a frown.
“Where is your brother doing this?” Wynn interrupted her question.
“Calm down guys,” Ann said, looking at the angry faces of Paris and Wynn.
“Probably at the council,” Ami said, not understanding their anger.
“Can you mind link him and look through his eyes?” Paris asked.
“You guys know Andre is very private and I only link with him when he links with me,” Ami explained.
“What if you are in danger? Will he come running?” Paris asked.
“Flying,” Wynn corrected.
“Of course. What is going on?” Ami asked.
Wynn nods his head to the side, signaling Paris to meet him outside, before walking out, “have a good day Mrs. Willow, and send my regards to your husband.”
“I will see you later,” Paris said before kissing Ann.
“Actually, I have plans later,” Ann said, smiling.
“Tomorrow then?” Paris asked.
“Sundays are family time,” Mrs. Willow informed him.
“See you at school then,” Paris said, disappointed, wishing he can just steal Ann away and keep her for himself.
After Wynn and Paris left to plot against Ami so that they can get their hands on Andre, the girls took a walk over to Jessica’s house for a sleepover.
“You guys are early,” Jessica said, opening her front door.
“Well, we still have to get ready,” Ann said, giving Jessica a hug.
“Just don’t say anything. My mom is still here,” Jessica said in a hushed tone, walking to the living room.
“Where is your mom?” Ami asked, eager for some familiar faces.
“Which one?” Jessica laughed.
“Jovita,” Ami chuckled.
“Best to just refer to her as Jovita,” Jessica said, walking into her kitchen to retrieve some snacks.
Ami followed Ann to the living room, “this place looks so nice.”

“My mom wanted to be an interior decorated,” Jessica said, walking into the living room with hands full of crisp.
“Wanted? It looks to me as if she is,” Ami said, taking a bag of crisp from Jessica.
“She became a doctor instead,” Jessica said, falling down on one of the sofas.
“So, where is your mom, I mean Jovita?” Ami asked again.
“In her room with my, I mean Juno,” Jessica laughed.’
“Must be so weird,” Ann said, before mouthing some salt and vinegar crisps.
“Not really. It is not like I grew up with them as parents,” Jessica said, grabbing the salt and vinergar crisp from her.
“And your parents are ok with them alone in a room, considering the fact that they are like teenagers to them?” Ann wondered.
“Right now, my parents let Jovita be, since she just lost her family,” Jessica said, making air brackets.
“Ok, girls, be good and remember, no boys! Jessica remind Jovita that Juno has to leave by eight,” Mrs. Steel said, before leaning over the back of the couch and giving Jessica a kiss on her head, “love you darling.”
“Love you too, mom,” Jessica smiled, content.
After they heard Jessica’s mom’s car pull off, Ami could not help pointing out the fact that they look alike, “one would have never thought she was not your real mom.”
“I know right,” Jessica agreed.
“Ok, time to get ready,” Ann said, eager.
“Are you guys sure it will be, ok? We won’t get into trouble or anything?” Ami asked, hesitant to sneak out.
“We won’t get in trouble if we don’t get caught,” Jessica lauge,d walking to Jovita’s room and walking in on a heated s*x scene, “Oh my word!” Jessica retreated and shutted the door, facing Ann and Ami laughing at her.
“I just saw my father’s bud! Now it is going to be weird,” Jessica blushed.
“A nice bud,” Ami commented.
“We are going out, don’t tell my mom, I mean my other mom,” Jessica yelled, not sure if they even noticed her.
“Ok, honey,” Jessica heared Jovita call back at her.
“Just be thankful it is two young bodies you saw and not some grossed out old bodies,” Ann laughed, dragging Jessica to her room.
“Wow, when did this happen?” Ann asked when she walked into Jessica’s newly decorated room, the smell of paint still strong.
“Today, so don’t touch the walls, it might still be wet,” Jessica said, grabbing a few things, “come we can get ready in my parents’ room.”
While getting ready Jovita came walking into the room, “so where are you girls going?”
“A nightclub,” Jessica said, applying mascara to her already thick, long black eyelashes.
“New York has the best,” Jovita said, looking at the mini dresses on the bed.
“Well, we are not in New York,” Jessica said sarcastically.
“Have you been to a nightclub?” Jovita asked Ami, knowing most likely not since her mother never lallowed her leave the castle.
“No. I am so excited but scared at the same time,” Ami admitted.
“Bet you wish Eero was here,” Jovita said, taking the brow liner from Ami to help her with her makeup.
“Yeah, but he is somewhere out there in the mountains,” Ami said, looking half depressed.
“What are you talking about?” Jovita asked, remembering seeing him at Jessica’s wedding.
“He left to go excavate for Prehistoric with his father,” Ami said.
“No, he did not. All that has been stopped. Prehistoric and some council members that survived is tracking the hunters down as we speak,” Jovita said, shaping her borws.
“I thought you knew, or I would have told you,” Jessica added.
“Survived? Survived what?” Ami asked.
“Oh, dear, you don’t know? The council was attacked by Michael,” Jovita explained.
“Michael?” Ami asked, not having a clue.
“Prehistoric Vampire, he ordered all the Royals to kill each other and compelled the Vampires to kill all the hunters,” Jovita informed her, looking at Ann, wondering how she can date such a monster.
Ami’s eyes got big, “Eero?”
“He is perfectly safe, but his mother was killed. All the hunter adults that were at the council is dead. The kids escaped.
Ami grabbed her bag and immediately took out her phone to call Eero, “I cannot believe my mom didn’t tell me anything.”
“Don’t call your mom, she is not in a good place, she almost died,” Jovita explained.
“I am calling Eero,” Ami said but now wonders if she should not perhaps call her mom instead, ‘she sounded as if nothing was wrong,’ Ami thought about the last time she spoke to her mom.
“Hello,” Stella’s voice came through the other side.
Ami looked at her phone, thinking she called the wrong person but saw that it was Eero she phoned, “what are you doing with Eero’s phone?”
“I am answering it,” Stella laughed.
“Please give the phone to Eero,” Ami demanded.
“Eero can’t come to the phone right now, but I will tell him that you call, bye,” Stella laughed, ending the call.
‘Wish she could have died,’ Ami tought and then felt guilty for thinking it.
“And?” Jovita asked.
“Stella answered,” Ami said, rolling her eyes and throwing her phone aside.
Not a moment too soon and Ami’s phone beep, notifying her that she had a text message.
“Hi, what’s up? Were you looking for me?” Ami read the text message in silence.
“Just wanted to check-in, only heard now what happened,” Ami texted back.
“We are fine, thanks for asking, my mother died though but thankfully Stella was here to get me through it,” Eero’s text came back.
“I can be there on the first flight out?” Ami texted back.
“Why? I am sure you have better things to do and besides, as I said, I have Stella,” Eero texted back with a sexy emoji followed by a heart and ‘Stella.’
Ami could feel the tears building up in her eyes, “?” was all she texts back.
“Stella knows just how to make me feel better,” Eero texted more detail and this time followed by a wink emoji.
“What is going on?” Jovita asked, looking at Ami’s face.
“Nothing,” Ami tossed her phone aside, fighting the tears that wanted to roll.
