Chapter 104

“Get out of my house!” the man shouted the moment he was released from the compelling sending both Torvald and Shysie flung out of the house through the front door that they came in.

“What have you done?” Torvald spat at Shysie when they hit an invisible wall.

Ondrink could not believe the timing. “Just in time.”

“I got you, you bastard,” Deacon laughed, even though he was filled with anger.

“I didn’t do anything. It must be something the shamans did,” Shysie defended herself, wanting her bread and butter on both sides.

“Let Shysie go. She has nothing to do with my actions,” Torvald said, wanting Shysie free, knowing she will be his only hope of escaping again.

“I know, since she is working with us,” Deacon said. “Shysie, you are free to leave.”

Relieved, Shysie stepped out of the spell wall but not before winking at Torvald, that went unnoticed by everyone around.

“Ondrink, go inside and wipe the family’s mind clean,” Deacon ordered. “Shysie, you go clean up any traces of the supernatural world.”

After Shysie cleaned up all traces of Torvald’s doings, she sped over to varsity.

“Ann?” she called out while knocking on the dorm door.

“What do you want?” Ann spat when she opened the door.

“You,” Shysie said and grabbed Ann.

Before Ann knew what was going on she was in the middle of nowhere.

“Where the hell am I?” Ann looked around in the dark. She looked up at the sky, which was filled with millions of bright stars. ‘This can’t be good,’ she thought, knowing that stars this bright meant she was far away from the city. ‘What the hell is Shysie up to now?’ Ann wondered.

After leaving Ann in the middle of nowhere, hoping that she will die, Shysie went looking for Michael.

‘With Ann out of the way Michael will be all mine,’ Shysie thought, walking into the vampire throne room and taking her place on the queen’s throne.

“I heard you are back,” Michael stated, walking into the vampire throne room. “What are you doing on the queen’s chair?”

“Time for you to make me your queen,” Shysie said, holding out her hand.

“Ha,” Michael laughed. “You silly woman.”

“You promised, so why are you not in pain right now for not keeping your promise?” Shysie spat, confused.

Because I am not breaking my promise. I said I will make you my queen,” Michael said and took her hand, but not to claim her. Michael pulled her off the queen’s throne. “I didn’t say when.”

“Asshole,” Shysie spat and walked off. Before leaving the throne room, she looked around at Michael. “Don’t think I will ever help you ever again.” ‘Good luck in finding Ann,’ Shysie thought and left to go to the dungeons to check up on Torvald, but when she got there, he was not there.

‘Did he escape already?’ she wondered and decided instead of seeking answers from Deacon that might be too busy taking care of Jessica, she would go see her brother, Wynn.

“Ahem,” Shysie cleared her throat, walking into the were-owl throne room, Wynn and Queen Amirah smooching.

“Shysie,” Wynn turned his attention to his sister, Queen Amirah still in his arms.

“Has Torvald successfully been brought to the dungeons?” Shysie played dumb.

“Torvald is under lock and key, but this time no one but Deacon and Ondrink knows,” Wynn chuckled.

“That is good, but at the same, does it not put them both in danger?” Shysie pointed out.

“Why are you so concerned?” Queen Amirah questioned, knowing all along that Shysie was involved with Torvald, as was she.

Shysie caught the hint. “I am not. Anyway, how are the wedding plans going?” she changed the subject.

“Thank fully not postponed,” Queen Amirah said.

“Good night Shysie,” Wynn said and pulled Queen Amirah in. “Where were we?” he asked before locking lips with her again.

Shysie put her finger in her mouth, gagging as she left. ‘Never saw that coming,’ she thought.

While Deacon was taking care of Jessica in his room, Juno was doing everything he could for Jovita that was left traumatized. Not only did she have to deal with what happened that night, she had to come to terms with what happened a century ago, knowing now that her nightmares were actually reality.

“Let a shaman wipe your mind,” Juno suggested, feeling helpless.

“If you cannot deal with me right now, then leave,” Jovita cried, sitting in a bathtub, scrubbing herself so hard in an attempt to wash what happened off that her skin was bleeding.

“Stop,” Juno said, taking her hand with the scrubber in thinking back to when she finally turned her affections from Torvald to him again.

JUNO’S FLASHBACK

“Do you think she was compelled to want to be with King Torvald?” Prince Juno asked hopefully, waiting for Princess Jovita, hoping that was the case.

“I have set her free from all compelling, but she still clings to him as if he is God’s gift to woman,” Ondrink said.

“How is it even possible? Shouldn’t she only want to be with me, her fated mate?” Prince Juno questioned.

“Yes. I really don’t know why she is acting this way,” Ondrink said.

They both turn to watch when Princess Jovita walked over to them, her eyes still close, her aunt guiding her.

“Can we speak?” she asked Prince Juno.

“Yes, of course,” he said, happy to finally be spoken to by her.

“I would like to un mate, I am in love with King Torvald,” she said shyly.

“How is that even possible?” Prince Juno protested.

“I don’t know. All I know is that I love him and want to be with him forever,” Princess Jovita said, confused by her own words.

“I will never un-mate with you, never!” Prince Juno protested.

“Then you should leave here if you don’t want to suffer heartache from watching me with another man,” Princess Jovita said before walking away.

Prince Juno stormed after her and focused his attention on King Torvald that just came out of his room “Did you compel her to love you?”

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” King Torvald lied.

“He did no such thing,” Princess Jovita assured him.

“He is right, you are fated to him, and you should be with your own kind,” King Thorvald said.

“But I love you,” Princess Jovita said conflicted.

“You only know him for a few days, and you claim to love him? What is wrong with you?” Princess Jenny asked in disbelief.

“I don’t know!” Princess Jovita cried and ran off.

Prince Juno was about to run after her when Princess Jenny stopped him. “Let her go.”

“Well, I tried,” King Torvald said, laughing inside.

“Come on, let us go for a walk,” the uncle invited prince Juno to go with him.

King Torvald turned into his room, smiling.

Ondrink walked after Princess Jenny, fearing that she will fall for King Torvald.

“Perhaps it is best to un-mate with her. If her love is so strong for him that it out rules your fated mate bond then perhaps you are better off,” her uncle suggested.

“I am not giving up on her. As soon as I have a chance, I am going to claim her,” Prince Juno shared his plan.

“You will be bound to her forever. What if she does not claim you back? You will always have to live with the fact that she loves another,” her uncle warned him.
