Chapter 165

Kina does not object and dropped the sheets from her body before helping prince Deacon undoing Ria’s dress.

After an hour of taking turns having s*x with the two-woman, Ria excused herself, slipping her dress on, not fastening it, “I have to go,” she said before leaving, satisfied.

“You don’t have to be scared, Emily is dead, she won’t be coming back,” Prince Deacon said, stroking Kina’s cheek, hoping that Emily will not return.

“Then why did we save her in the first place?” Kina asked confused.

“To get information on the royal baby,” Prince Deacon said.  “The plan was not to kill her. She tried to kill me, so I was left with no choice but to defend myself,” Prince Deacon lied, telling the lie that Wynn and he agreed upon.

“So, the baby?” Kina asked, not sure if she wanted to know.

“Emily killed her, obviously,” Prince Deacon said, feeling tired.

“I will let you rest,” Kina said, about to stand up but prince Deacon prevented her by wrapping his arms around her.

“Don’t let any vampires drink from you. If they see our involvement in Emily escaping in the first place they will end our lives,” Prince Deacon warned, cuddling with her.

Kina was happy to be in prince Deacon’s arms and soon the both of them fell asleep.

Wynn was greeted by his sister, Shysie, when he entered his room.

“Where have you been?” Shysie asked.

“Taking care of a few things,” Wynn said, falling down on his bed.

“Tell me about princess Freda,” Shysie finally blurted out.

“What about her?” Wynn asked, playing dumb.

“The fact that she looks just like us.  Is she related to us?” Shysie asked, wishing her brother would just tell her already.

“I don’t know.  We ran into her when prince Deacon courted Emily,” Wynn explained, withholding the truth about his relationship with princess Freda’s mother.

“What does she say?” Shysie asked, standing up from Wynn’s bed, getting a feeling that her brother was not telling her the truth.

“She is a lycan and started shifting shortly after her sixteenth birthday.  Her father died a year ago and she never asked him about it, too scared that she will be seen as a monster,” Wynn said.

“How do I contact her without going all the way to Egypt?” Shysie asked her hand on the doorknob.

“You don’t.  Let her be. I think she just looks like us and nothing more,” Wynn said, hoping his sister will give it a rest.

“By the way; Emily escaped,” Shysie said, opening the door to leave.

“I know. Prince Deacon and I killed her,” Wynn said, hoping that his sister believes him.

“What?!” Shadey asked, shocked at her brother's stupidity.

“She tried to kill prince Deacon, so it was self-defense,” Wynn said as if it was nothing.

“And the baby?” Shysie asked.

“Safe to assume that she killed the baby,” Wynn said.

“I hope for your sake that the council deems your actions just,” Shysie said, and left.

At mid-day, Prince Deacon got woken up by the pack member that he chased out of the room earlier.

“Sorry to wake you but your father says that you better join them for luncheon,” he said.

“Take your things out of this room and bring my things here.  You can take my room if you wish but from now on this is my room.  By the way, why are you in this room? You are nothing more than an Omega.  This hallway of rooms is reserved for my guest,” Prince Deacon asked, getting out of bed, wondering where Kina was.

“Please accept my apology.  It was a shameful act to use this room for pleasure and without permission,” the Omega said, his head hanging.

“Stay away from Kina,” Prince Deacon said, “Go get me some clothing from my former room,” he ordered the omega.

Prince Deacon took a quick bath, ‘Why do I smell like that gypsy wh*re?’ he thought to himself, wondering why there was so many women’s scent on him.  ‘Emily, because she was on top of me, trying to kill me, so naturally her perfume brushed off on me. Ria and Kina as I f*cked them hours ago, but why the Romani?’ Prince Deacon thinks, trying to remember what her name was while bathing.

Prince Deacon entered the sunroom where luncheon was being served, joining his family at their table, halfway through lunch.

“Thank you for honoring us with your presence,” Queen Lana remarked sarcastically.

“You are welcome,” Prince Deacon snapped back, noticing that prince Mano was not at the table.

As usual, queen Amirah, prince Andre, and lady Hannah are sitting at the table next to the lycan royals.

‘Why is she always eating with them, it is like she enjoys the fact that prince Andre is pining over her,’ King Makens mind linked his wife.

‘To keep her husband out of harm.  Being part of the conversation keeps them from plotting against him,’ Queen Lana mind linked back.

Lady Hannha noticed king Makens eyes on her and spoke up, “Lovely weather we are having for a winter's day.”

“Indeed,” King Makens said, putting his eyes back on his own table, feeling caught out.

“Any news on the vampire that killed Zara and her baby?” Prince Andre asked.

King Makens looked at prince Deacon accusingly before speaking to prince Andre, “What business is it of yours?”

“Any royal business is every other royal member of this council’s business,” Queen Amirah warned.

“We found the guard dead in her cell. She escaped but our troops are out looking for her,” King Makens said stiffly.

“They won’t find her.  I ripped off her head and watched her turn into ash,” Prince Deacon said, before taking a bite of his food.

“You did what? You know that no one is allowed to end a supernatural’s life without trial!” Queen Amirah said, loud enough to draw attention. Both king Makens and queen Lana were left shocked at the news, immediately poking prince Deacon’s mind to see for themselves.

“It was self-defense and what chance did she stand? She killed a royal wife and a newborn princess,” Prince Deacon said while showing his parents exactly what he wanted them to see.

“The council will decide that,” Queen Amirah said, standing up and leaving.

“You don’t look the least bit concerned,” Queen Lana said, looking at prince Deacon.

“Should I have let her kill me and then you and the rest of the royals?” Prince Deacon asked.

“He is right.  I will sort this out. If they dare put you on trial I will overrule them,” King Makens said, standing up and leaving to catch up with queen Amirah before she turned the royal council against prince Deacon.

“Got nothing to add?” Lady Hannah asked prince Andre, wondering why he was quiet.

“I think everything that needed to be said has been said,” Prince Andre said, relieved that Emily was dead, knowing if they unraveled the truth, they will know that it was him who let her into the castle in the first place.

“How is Mano doing?” Prince Deacon asked.

“It’s been one day since he lost his claimed fated mate; how do you think he is?” Queen Lana asked.

Prince Deacon took a deep breath and swallowed his words.

In a few weeks’ time, Prince Ra’s former wives will arrive and all of you will have first claim.  Each of you, including Mano, will take a wife and procreate,” Queen Lana ordered, standing up and leaving, ignoring her sons objections.
