Chapter 186

“Well, ok, see you at dinner?” Princess Anse asked.
“If I feel better, but perhaps tomorrow at breakfast,” Princess Phoebe said before walking a bit faster.
‘I can run as fast as a vampire and blood entice me but yet no Hunter kids have ever reacted against me?’ What the hell am I?’ she thought as she looked back at the group.
In the safety of her room, she leaned against her door. ‘How am I going to get to the dungeons?’ she asked herself, looking at her flapping curtains.
Princess Phoebe walked over to her balcony and looked at the ground for a moment, ‘Too many people,’ she thought as she put the idea of jumping down out of her mind.
After waiting a while, she exited her room and made her way to the dungeons again, this time careful to not get noticed. Princess Phoebe was relieved to have reached the stairs to the dungeons unnoticed and sneaked past the guard that appeared as if he was sleeping standing up straight. ‘One would think they will use a vampire to be guard,’ Princess Phoebe thought to herself as she walked over to her father’s cell.
“Daughter,” Prince Ra said, surprised to see her again.
“What type of supernatural was my mother?” Princess Phoebe asked.
“Human. Why?” Prince Ra said knowing why she wanted to know.
“And you are a lycan, turned Hybrid?” Princess Phoebe asked.
“Listen to me, you are not safe here. I was born a hybrid and my guess is that so are you. You can’t tell anyone. Get away from here! Run and don’t look back!” Prince Ra said.
“I have nowhere to go,” Princess Phoebe said.
“Your real grandmother is a natural-born vampire, she will help you,” Prince Ra said.
“Why would she help me if she is not even helping her own son?” Princess Phoebe questioned.
“If she knew I am here she would set this whole place on fire,” Prince Ra assured her.
“If I am a hybrid then why are the hunter kids not reacting to me?” Princess Phoebe asked.
“Perhaps you are not a vampire then,” Prince Ra said.
“I am as fast as one and blood entice me,” Princess Phoebe said.
“I don’t know much about the whole hunter business, but it could be that they have not reacted to you because you have not drunk blood yet,” Prince Ra suggested.
“But why would a lycan's blood entice me?” Princess Phoebe asked.
“Natural born vampires or jybrids can drink from any being therefore any blood will entice you,” Prince Ra educated her.
“Where will I find my grandmother?” Princess Phoebe asked.
“I last saw your grandmother in 1916 when I send all my former wives here in favor for my fated mate, princess Freda, she was not too happy about it and left,” Prince Ra said.
“So how am I supposed to find her?” Princess Phoebe asked again.
“Queen Zuberi is her name, and you start in Egypt, perhaps at my palace,” Prince Ra said, holding out his palm to her.
Princess Phoebe took his hand thinking he wanted to shake goodbye.
“No, drink my blood so that you can see how to get to my palace and what your grandmother looks like,” Prince Ra said.
“Are you trying to trick me?” Princess Phoebe asked.
“I promise I am not trying to trick you,” Prince Ra promised.
“Making a promise does not mean you are telling the truth,” Princess Phoebe said, laughing.
“For a vampire it does. Remember don’t ever make a promise if you don’t really mean it as you will burn for not keeping it or attempting to not keep it,” Prince Ra warned her.
“But I have broken a few promises, and nothing ever happened,” Princess Phoebe stated.
“My guess again is because you have not consumed raw blood from a living thing,” Prince Ra said.
“But if I drink from you now then I will be bind. What if the hunters come in contact with me? They will kill me?” Princess Phoebe said, not willing to risk it.
“I don’t know how else to show you the way or your grandmother, so the choice is yours,” Prince Ra said, his palm still extended.
Hesitantly princess Phoebe put her mouth to his palm and bite down, but she does not pierce his skin.
Prince Ra retracted his arm and bite open his own palm before putting his palm through the bars again.
The blood so close to her nose, so fresh, so enticing, and irresistible made princess Phoebe’s fangs rip through her gums. Princess Phoebe letted out a little cry before sinking her teeth into her father’s flesh.
“I will find my grandmother and come back for you,” Princess Phoebe said after drinking her father’s blood and seeing everything about him, his life and she even got to see her mother.
“No, stay far away from this place. Your grandmother can come to rescue me herself,” Prince Ra said, wanting to let his heir get away and stay away from this place.
“I wish I knew about you,” Princess Phoebe said, holding back her tears.
“And I you,” Prince Ra said, smiling, licking his wound to seal it up.
“Thank you for showing me my mother,” Princess Phoebe said, the tears finally escaping her eyes.
“She was wonderful,” Prince Ra said.
“Goodbye father,” Princess Phoebe said.
“Goodbye daughter,” he responded.
“Phoebe,” she said, smiling.
“Goodbye daughter,” he said again, smiling.
Princess Phoebe looked at her father one more time before speeding off.
That same evening king Thorvald and Q
queen Lana came to the agreement that princess Freda will marry prince Deacon in turn for as many humans that can find a spot on prince Ra’s body to drink and turn into vampires. King Thorvald knew then that prince Ra was a natural-born hybrid but didn't tell queen Lama. King Thorvald wanted to keep princess Freda for himself but thought, ‘I have an eternity to make her mine, once I am rid of the royal lycans.’
Queen Lana left to inform king Makens of the arrangements.
“What the hell gives you the right to approve the turning of vampires?” King Makens asked furious.
“Princess Freda is a royal lycanf! She should not be locked up in the dungeons! She should be having royal lycan babies!” Queen Lana protested.
“You are one to talk!” King Makens shouted.
“We have talked about this,” Queen Lana said, knowing he was referring to her not having more children herself.
“We will have more children! Perhaps young children will keep you too busy to make deals with the bloody vampire king!” King Makens declared.
“Why have more children if we have no one to marry them to?” Queen Lana questioned.
“What about prince Juno and Pprincess Jovita? Surely they have children by now?” King Makens questioned.
“None. Either prince Juno has a low sperm count or princess Jovita is baren,” Queen Lana figured.
“Then arrange for them to come to the council and let the scientist test them, and bring her sister with,” King Makens demanded before leaving for the dining hall.
“If he is a hybrid then how does king Thorvald think it will be any different from previous times of experimenting on using hybrids as sacrifices? It was a sh*tshow every single time.” King Makens asked.
“That is his problem. That is why I agreed because I know whatever he plans, it won't work,” Queen Lans said, smiling.
By dinner time it was clear that everyone at the castle knew about the unexpected turning of vampires as they spoke openly about it.
“I wonder if king Thorvald will select who gets to become vampires,” Jayda asked.
“If you turn vampire I will never f*ck you again,” Prince Deacon said, overhearing their conversation from the next table.
“Mind your mouth!” Queen Lana said, appalled by his words.
“Your best friend is a hybrid,” Kina reminded him.
“Yeah, but that does not mean I want to,” Prince Deacon started but his mother interrupted him.
“You will get married at the same time as the vampire turning event,” Queen Lana said.
“I refuse to get married again to anyone that is not my natural fated mate,” Prince Vasili stated.
“I was not talking to you. Prince Deacon will marry princess Freda tomorrow evening,” Queen Lana says.
“Excuse me? She is fated to prince Ra. Remember the guy you made a promise to then turned around and killed one of his former wives and kept his daughter a secret from him?” Prince Deacon reminded her, objecting.
“Prince Ra has committed treason and he will be the sacrifice for the vampire turning ceremony,” King Makens said, saddened that a good friend of his own son had to end in such away.
“Was prince Ra’s real father not your best friend before his brother killed him and stole his wife?” Prince Deacon asked.
“Rules are rules,” King Makens said, clearly not happy about the situation.
“So, what treason did he commit?” Prince Bleidd asked.
“He turned himself into a hybrid,” King Makens said.
‘Father, who told you this?’ Prince Deacon mind linked his father as he knew that prince Ra was a natural-born hybrid like Princess Freda.
