Chapter 99 (Trigger warning: Rape)
They walked up the stairs to the front door of the mansion, the door already open, Michael leading the way. In the living room, the family of the mansion was having dinner as if nothing was wrong, clearly compelled.
"Brother, you may leave and tell Deacon to take the higher council and leave or no one will make it out alive,” Torvald said, making it clear that he knew that Deacon and the higher council were around.
“The two of you don’t bother trying to mind link anyone,” Torvald chuckled. “Follow me, Jovita. Juno, you enjoy a meal with my lovely host.”
Juno tried to ignore his request but was not able to. He put his hand on his chest and realized his shaman necklace was already off.
“Looking for this?” Torvald chuckled, holding up two shaman necklaces.
Juno took a seat at the table and watched Jovita take Torvald’s hand. Torvald kissed her hand, his eyes on hers. “I have been waiting a long, long time to have you again,” he said, sending cold shivers down her spine.
Torvald led Jovita to a room and the sight of Jessica sleeping on the bed sent her back to bad memories as Torvald led her to the bed to have his way with her once more.
FLASHBACK
Princess Jovita, with a few other she-wolves, was left naked in a room, none of them having the will to escape or even able to talk and mind link each other.
Princess Jovita heard the voice of her twin sister in her head, but she cannot mind link back due to the compelling she was under. Princess Jovita opened her eyes wide and looked around, ‘I might not be able to mind link my sister but if she is in my head, then she should be able to see what I am seeing,’ Princess Jovita looked at the women that are in the same poor state as she was, hoping that her sister can see them.
The door opened, and the Enchantress walked into the room. ‘Trust vampires to be in bed with the demons from hell,’ Princess Jovita thought, looking at the Romani gypsy woman.
The Enchantress spelled their minds; if they ever leave this place, they will forget what happened here along with everyone around here and it cannot be undone, not even by the enchantress herself. They will think it is nothing more than nightmares.
After the enchantress took her to leave, the she-wolves got taken outside again and tied up to individual palls, one meter apart from each other.
Over the next couple of days, they got raped over and over by whoever felt like it. One afternoon, King Torvald came out and sniffed Princess Jovita’s womanhood. “I am patiently waiting for you to ovulate my little wolf.”
As soon as King Torvald left, the raping continued. Every day just after the sun has set King Torvald and his nest of vampires sped back to the castle and entered through a secret passage and they leave again before sunrise, back to the compound to continue their evil activities of inflicting pain on captured she-wolves.
END OF JOVITA’S FLASHBACK
At the dining table, Juno’s own mind was returning to a century ago, remembering the day when everyone came to the realizing that Jovita was in trouble.
JUNO’S FLASHBACK
“I will be taking my leave today,” Prince Juno said, not looking so happy.
“So will we,” Princess Jovita’s aunt and uncle said.
“It was lovely having you all with us and you can come around any time you wish, the castle is big enough,” Queen Makens said.
Prince Juno cannot help but catch the familiar scent of his fated mate every time he was near Princess Jovita’s family, but put it to the back of his mind. ‘She must have been a rogue and probably long gone,’ he thought.
Instead of leaving in his wolf form, he allowed one of the lycan royals to drive him home.
JUNO’S FLASHBACK PAUSED
“My brother knows you are around and said you have to leave or no one will make it out alive,” Michael gave Torvald’s message to Deacon.
“We cannot leave,” Ondrink said, remembering the poor state of his wife Jenny, Jovita’s twin sister, was in from nightmares that were Jovita’s reality.
ONDRINK’S FLASHBACK
Princess Jovita’s aunt and uncle arrived two days later back at their pack.
“Come quick!” Ondrink, that was married to Jenny; Princess Jovita’s twin sister said, filled with worry.
“What is the matter? Is Princess Jovita here?” was the first thing that came out of their aunt’s mouth.
“No. Something is wrong with Jenny! She woke up one day from a nightmare and it has not stopped since then!” Ondrink said.
Her aunt and uncle hurried after Ondrink, his long dark hair flapping against his back. Ondrink had the look of an Inuit Eskimo (basically a red Indian, only they are Eskimos). Ondrink was from Alaska and wished to take his princess there one day.
“Jenny, what on earth is the matter? Can’t you use some shaman magic?” her aunt asked, worried, sitting on the bed next to Jenny that was wet from night sweats.
“Don’t you think I have tried?” Owen pointed at the wall that was filled with dream catchers.
“Where is Jovita? My dreams are about her! I am mind linking her, but she does not mind link me back,” Jenny cried.
“She went rogue; ran off with her fated mate,” her uncle said.
“Even if she went rogue, twins are always connected,” Owen reminded them.
Jenny goes into a screaming fit again, “no! no! make them stop!”
“Tell me what you see?” her aunt begged.
“Vampires! They have Jovita and several other she-wolves! I am sure I am looking through her eyes! Make it stop!” Jenny cried out, clawing at her own eyes at the sight of the women being raped and whipped, some of them by more than one vampire at the same time.
Ondrink wrapped his arms around Jenny, pinning her arms down. “I have tried everything! This cannot be just dreams. We have to find Jovita!” Ondrink cried.
Their aunt and uncle look at each other filled with worried. “I had the same connection with my twin sister, their mother; this is not dreams. Jovita is in trouble.”
“It is because they went rogue! Rogue wolves are free game, and anyone is allowed to kill them and do with them as they please!” her uncle said furiously, but only because he felt helpless.
“Surely that does not count for royals?!” her aunt shouted.
“We will have to inform the King and Queen. If Princess Jovita is in danger, then that means that their son, Prince Mano is as well,” her uncle said, hurrying out of the house.
“They won’t believe us. The queen is too hard-headed. What if we are wrong? They will be furious with us for wasting their time,” her aunt said, doubting the twin bond for a moment.
“No pack will help us when it involves rogues!” her husband said.
“We should at least try! We would help any pack that needs our help so won't they do the same for us,” she asked.
After spending two days going from pack to pack begging and pleading for help, they ended up at the last pack they have an alliance with.
“Prince Juno?!” they exclaimed.
END OF ONDRINK’S FLASHBACK
JUNO’S FLASHBACK CONTINUES
“Good evening to you all. What brings you all here?” he asked, looking at Princess Jenny that looked like she had some sort of illness.
“We need your help,” her uncle spoke up.
“With her? What is wrong with her?” Prince Juno asked, not sure he could help.
“Her sister, Princess Jovita,” her aunt said, with pleading eyes.
“Let me guess, she doesn’t like Prince Mano and wants to be my claimed fated mate?” Prince Juno laughed.
“She is your fated mate,” Jenny said, already in his mind, recognizing her sister's wolf.
“No, she is not. I mated with someone I am yet to track down. Your sister mated with Prince Mano,” he said.
“My sister in her wolf form,” Jenny said, before showing Prince Juno her mind.
“Then why does everyone believe she fated with Prince Mano?!” Prince Juno asked.
“Because he has been spending a lot of time in his wolf form so they must have assumed,” her aunt said, remembering the royals’ words.
“Can you try to link with her?” Princess Jenny pleaded.
Juno got pulled out of his memories when he heard Jovita’s cries. He looked around at the family around the table, all eating calmly, knowing they are compelled. Juno dug his fingers into the flesh of his legs, unable to get up to help Jovita.
