Chapter 144
“What is going on?” Prince Deacon asked, walking with Benjamin, and making his way through the hallway.
“Leaving like a thief in the night?” Prince Ra asked.
“My lord, Prince Adio committed suicide,” the English lord informed him.
“Then you should show more respect to Prince Ra as he is the new ruler to convince into an alliance,” Lord Deacon said, tapping his hat with a smile before continuing on his way.
“I will be becoming for Princess Freda,” Prince Ra said, making Prince Deacon stop and turn around.
“Why don’t we both keep our heads on our pretty bodies and call it a night?” Prince Deacon threatened him.
“You think because you were friends with my father that we will be friends?” Prince Ra challenged.
“If you are anything like your father, then I am not interested in being your friend as I was never his,” Prince Deacon said rudely before turning on his heel to walk away.
Prince Ra wanted to tell him that he was one of them, but there were too many human ears around, so he let it be for the moment.
Prince Deacon arrived back home just after midnight and went straight to Princess Freda’s room. “Are you ok?”
“I am,” Princess Freda said in a soft voice.
“Please forgive me for not being there for you when you needed me,” Prince Deacon apologized, feeling regretful.
“My virginity is still intact, so all is good,” Princess Freda said.
“I am glad to hear that. Good night then,” Prince Deacon said.
Wynn heard Princess Bently’s front door open and left to meet her midway. “Yes, they are back, but Princess Freda didn’t want to wake you, so I put her up in one of our rooms.”
“You didn’t have to answer before I ask,” Princess Bently said, wrapping her night coat tighter around her.
“You should not be outside in the middle of the night, dressed indecent,” Wynn said, and walked her back to her mansion.
“You are not my husband, so you cannot tell me what to do,” Princess Bently teased.
Wynn stepped into her house and shut the door behind him. “Let's enjoy our last night while we still can.”
“Our last night?” Princess Bently asked.
“You know what I mean,” Wynn said before picking her up and carrying her to her sex dungeon.
Back at Prince Duncan’s mansion.
“Prince, I mean Lord Deacon,” Princess Freda stopped him before he could leave.
“Yes?” Prince Deacon said, holding his breath, expecting her to still try to pursue him.
“There is something you should know,” Princess Freda said hesitantly.
“Out with it,” Prince Deacon said.
“Well, um, you see,” Princess Freda started but does not how to form the words, filled with fear.
“You can find the words and tell me in the morning,” Prince Deacon said, and started to walk away.
“Emily is not coming back,” Princess Freda blurted out.
“What are you talking about?” Prince Deacon asked and walked back into the room.
“We forced her father to pretend to take them on a holiday and by the end of the week he would have only let her know that they are not coming back,” Princess Freda said, sounding as if she was about to cry.
“I don’t understand?” Prince Deacon refused to believe her.
“I am sorry. I wanted you for myself so badly that I would have done anything to be rid of her,” Princess Freda explained, feeling the tears run down her face.
“Why tell me now?” Prince Deacon snarled in anger, ready to rip her head off.
“I have found my own mate and I know now why you and Emily cannot be kept apart,” Princess Freda said through tears.
Prince Deacon does not wait for her to tell him who her mate was, assuming that it might have been Prince Adio after all, and since he was dead, she was suffering from a broken heart. Prince Deacon stormed out of his mansion before shifting into his wolf form.
‘I am going to find Emily,’ Prince Deacon mind link Wynn as he caught Emily’s scent.
‘I completely forgot about it. I meant to let you know about the Princesses scheme,’ Wynn mind lined back.
It took Prince Deacon a whole night and day to track Emily down, but when he did, there was no sweeter reward.
“Puppy? What are you doing here? Where are your rmaster?” Emily wrapped her arms around Prince Deacon.
‘Oh, my sweet, sweet Emily,’ Prince Deacon thought.
“I hope his master is not close,” Alfred said with a sigh.
“Why not? I thought you liked Lord Deacon?” Emily questioned, walking into their house, which she thought they were only holidaying in and leaving tomorrow.
“I was only going to tell you all at dinner tonight, but I guess now is as good a time as any,” Alfred said, following her into the house.
“Out with it then,” Emily said, filling a bowl of water and putting it on the ground.
“Poor dog, he must be very thirsty,” Alfred said, looking at the wolf lapping up the water.
“I hope everything is ok with Lord Deacon though, we are far away from home,” Emily said.
“This is our home. We are not going back,” Alfred finally told his truth.
“Whatever are you talking about?” Emily asked in a high pitch objecting tone.
“Princess Freda and Princess Bently have bought our mansion next to theirs and asked for us to leave. You see, princess Freda is smitten with Lord Deacon and I feared that she might have ended up ruining your reputation if not killing you,” Alfred admitted.
“But I love him! I don’t care about my reputation and neither does he!” Emily blurted out, shocked by her own words.
“Love him? You hardly know him,” Alfred said, knowing that it was possible to love someone in such a short time period, thinking back on the day he met her mother.
“Papa, I know you believe in love at first sight,” Emily said, on the edge of hysteria with the thought of never seeing Lord Deacon again.
‘She loves me,’ Prince Deacon thought to himself.
“We don’t have to move back but we will send an overnight letter to inform Lord Deacon where we are,” Emily said, walking over to the drawing room, Prince Deacon and her father following her.
“What would be the use? You really believe he will just pack up and move here?” Alfred asked, wondering if it was love at first sight for the lord as well.
“I believe he will. He told me he loves me,” Emily said, retrieving writing material.
“He did?” Alfred asked, relieved.
“He did,” Emily said, and started to write her letter.
“I am going to the post office to send it off,” Emily said, standing up.
“Let me do it,” Alfred said, holding out his hand.
“Sorry papa, but I will see to it myself,” Emily objected politely before leaving the house, Prince Deacon following her.
“Get the dog a leash. You don’t want to scare people,” Alfred shouted after her.
“It is not a dog pappa, it is a wolf,” Emily said, resting her hand on his head as they walked; he was so big.
Emily’s father was right. People were scared of the large wolf, but she paid no attention to them. “They will just have to get used to you as I am sure your master will hurry over and move in next door.”
“Maybe soon we will stay in the same house,” Emily said, talking to Prince Deacon who she thought was a wolf named Puppy.
After Emily send off her letter, Prince Deacon mind linked Wynn. ‘Let me know when a letter from Emily arrives.’
‘So, you found them?’ Wynn asked, busy making sweet love to Princess Bently.
‘Really? Do you two ever not have s*x?’ Prince Deacon mind linked back.
Wynn cutted him out of his mind and continued at the task at hand. “Marry me.”
