Chapter 197
“Where have you been these past two decades?” Prince Deacon asked.
“As Gina said, enslaved. I don’t have much memory of my past before the Eechantress,” Prince Mano explained.
“Judging from the way you two looked, stealing clothes and all dirty, you are running from this enchantress?” Prince Deacon asked.
“That is correct,” Prince Mano said.
“So, you don’t remember me at all?” Prince Deacon confirmed.
“No, I don’t. Do we have more brothers? Do I have a wife and kids I don’t know about?” Prince Mano asked, worried.
“You had wives and kids, unfortunately, all dead. Besides your stepdaughter, she ran away six years ago, never to be seen again,” Prince Deacon filled him in on his former wives and children.
“What happened to them?” Prince Mano asked.
“Well, our parents killed your last one, one of my ex-mates killed the one before that, so we believe, but she was not your wife; she was actually my wife but your fated mate and then you lost a wife and a few children in the Supernatural war,” Prince Deacon informed him.
Gina could not help listening but didn’t react, keeping silent.
“Did our parents have a valid reason for killing my wife? Will they want to kill Gina? Should I be worried?” Prince Mano asked.
“I have not yet informed the king and queen of your whereabouts,” Prince Deacon said.
“What do the king and queen have to do with my whereabouts and our parents?” Prince Mano asked, confused.
“The king and queen are your parents,” Prince Deacon laughed.
“But I thought you said the king is Gina’s father?” Prince Mano asked, his words making Gina also look up.
‘Please tell me I have not been making love to my brother,’ Gina thought, walking over to them.
“The supernatural world has a few royals. Our parents are the king and queen of the lycans and also above all other royals. Gina’s father is the vampire king, well he is obviously not her biological father since vampires can not have children,” Prince eacon explained.
After half an evening telling them about the higher council and what has passed over the years, it was time to retire to their beds.
“Good night then and thank you for the bedding and setting up the tent for us,” Prince Mano said.
“I don’t feel good about you being out here. What if the enchantress and her hybrids show up and take you again?” Prince Deacon asked.
“They will have to get past me,” Gina said smiling.
“I can not wait to find out how king Thorvald created you,” Prince Deacon said, smiling, before going into the cabin.
“Petty he is married,” one of the she-wolves said, looking at prince Mano with desire in her eyes.
“Am I not man enough for you all? Are you ladies growing bored of me?” Prince Deacon asked playfully, chasing them into the cabin.
Once alone, Gina wrapped her arms around prince Mano, “I thought you abounded me.”
“I will never, I love you and nothing you do or say will ever change that,” Prince Mano assured her.
“But what if you find a fated mate, like the one your brother told us about, the one that was his wife?” Gina asked concerned.
“He also told us that we can un-mate so don’t worry your pretty little head, my princess,” Prince Mano said, kissing her on her forehead.
“I cannot actually believe I am a princess, and you are a prince; Prince Mano,” Gina laughed.
“Tomorrow we will go to the castle, and we will be safe from the enchantress,” Prince Mano said as they got into their makeshift bed.
“What if your parents want to kill me?” Gina asked.
“I don’t think anyone can kill you and I doubt your father will allow it,” Prince Mano said before showering her with kisses.
Gina gave a little chuckle at the sound of a woman moaning in pleasure, “I take it you and your brothers have been gifted to pleasure woman.”
“There is only one woman I want to please,” Prince Mano said, before making love to her.
The next morning, as one of the she-wolves, walked out of the cabin to give prince Mano and Gina breakfast she caught the scent of an unfamiliar and unwanted guest, “Hybrid.”
“Could it be Wynn? I did mind link him to come over,” Prince Deacon asked, also catching the scent.
“No,” the she-wolf said.
“Definitely not Wynn,” Prince Deacon said when he saw the hybrid with a woman dressed like a Romany gypsy and a familiar face; Avery, one of the hunter kids he saw growing up.
“Prince Deacon” Avery acknowledged him.
“You know him?” the enchantress asked, smiling, “Prince Deacon, like in heir to the throne?”
“The one and only,” Prince Deacon said, looking at the tent, knowing that Gina was in danger.
“You have something that belongs to me,” the enchantress said.
“You are a long way from home, Miss?” Prince Deacon asked, hiding his fear, knowing what the enchantress was cable of.
“There are too many of us, don’t worry, she does not stand a chance,” one of the she-wolves said, all of them stepping out of the cabin, ready to shift and attack, knowing that the enchantress won’t have enough strength to spell all of them.
“I am just here for my property,” the enchantress said.
“And the vampire that stole him,” Avery said, eager to kill a vampire as he has never had the opportunity.
“Why are you hanging out with an enchantress?” Prince Deacon asked.
“King Thorvald gave me to her, as payment,” Avery said.
“As payment for what?” Prince Deacon wanted to know.
‘Perhaps she will leave prince Mano alone if she learns that king Thorvald is my father,’ Gina thought, stepping out of the tent.
“My father is king Thorvald and I wonder what he would say if he learned what you have done to my husband,” Gina said.
“Rogues are free game and not even your father can do anything about that,” Kezia said, smiling.
“Royals are off-limits no matter if they are rogue,” Prince Deacon reminded her.
‘King Thorvald owes me big time,’ Kezia thought to herself, recognizing the she-wolves that she placed permanent spells on that not even she could remove.
“I earned him, and he is mine,” Kezia said, stepping towards the tent.
“Over my dead body,” Gina said, stepping in front of her.
“What are you? A hybrid?” Kezia asked.
“Leave her alone, I will come without a fight,” Prince Manoo said, stepping out of the tent, fearing that if Kezia puts the hunter on Gina that it would be the end of her.
“Go into the house, all of you, I got this,” Gina said, smiling, ready to take the three of them on.
“Gina, you need to step away, perhaps go for a run, let me handle this,” Prince Deacon tried to warn her when he saw Avery standing closer to her.
“No,” Gina said, standing firm, unaware of the danger she was facing.
“Avery, please stay out of this,” Prince Deacon pleaded, stepping in front of Avery.
“I don’t belong to the council anymore,” Avery ignored prince Deacon.
“A little help here?” Prince Deacon looked around him, talking to the she-wolves.
Just as the she-wolves attempted to form a wall between Avery, Kezia, and the hybrid, Avery leaped forward and with that triggered Gina to react and grabbed him by his neck and swings him to the side.
“How is it that you can use vampire strength in daylight?” Kezia asked, shocked at her strength, coming to realize that king Thorvald fathered her himself as she knew what he really was, ‘Why would he risk it,’ she wondered.
Avery smiled at the strength that was filling him, making him faster and stronger than Gina.
Prince Deacon, prince Mano, and the hybrid all looked at Avery, wondering what will happen as none of them ever saw a hunter killing a vampire before.
“Gina, run!” Prince Mano shouted when he saw the look on Avery’s face.
Gina was too late and before she could respond Avery had her heart in his hand.
Gina grabbed her chest, looking at Avery in shock.
“No!” Prince Mano cried out, grabbing Gina in his arms, looking confused as to why she was still alive.
“She is a vampire so she will survive without a heart, but you need to get her out of the sun, now,” Prince Deacon shouted, turning to Gina and prince Mano.
“Nothing will save her,” Avery laughed.
“What have you done?” Prince Mano asked, catching a falling Gina.
“What is happening to me,” Gina asked, feeling the pain from her empty chest making its way to the rest of her body, her eyes bloodshot, her nose and ears bleeding.
“What have you done?!” Prince Mano screamed, looking at Avery with Gina half in his arms.
Prince Mano looked at Gina, responding to her touch of her hand, turning his face to face her, “I love you.”
Gina exploded, covering prince Mano and prince Deacon with a blanket of ash.
“No! No!” Prince Mano was going off his head. He stood and faced Avery, ready to end him.
“I already had a strand of my hair in my hand,” Avery said, laughing, still filled with power from touching Gina, “As I grabbed her heart, I left the strand.” Avery looked at the Hybrid, ready to end him as well.
The Hybrid started to run but he can not use his vampire speed during daylight.
Prince Mano realized that he was no match for the hunter and instead focuses his attention on Kezia. Prince Mano attempted to grab her by her neck to choke the life out of her, but she used a spell to knock him out. A few of the she-wolves also charged for her, but she knocked them out as well, but soon all her strength was depleted.
Prince Deacon grabbed her and was about to end her life when she stopped him, “If you kill me your brother will never have his memory back.”
