Chapter 177

Queen Lana wanted to raise her opinion, but king Makens silenced her, “That is my final word on the matter for now.”

‘Since when do you make these decisions by yourself?’ Queen Lana mind linked him, her face red with anger and making it clear to everyone that they are busy arguing.

‘Woman, I love you but for the longest time, you have been controlling our sons as if they are f*cking puppets.  It ends today,’ he mind linked her back, putting her in her place.

“You can leave at your soonest convenience,” Queen Lana said to princess Jovita’s aunt and uncle.

“Thank you,” her aunt said relieved, her uncle following with a nod of his head.

Princess Jovita ran into to trouble and soon found king Torvald having his way with her in the most brutal way imaginable and when she finally got rescued she was spelled not to remember that it was king Torvald that did all the bad things to her. Further more, she was spelled to be deeply in love with him and only him.

During breakfast, the royals were informed by princess Jovita’s uncle about what happened.

“Prince Mano! That is why we are not getting through to him! Find my boy now!” Queen Lana demanded.

King Makens and his sons stood up from the table, none of them has even taken a bite of their food.

“I will get the army ready,” Prince Deacon said.

“Please take care of yourself,” Sanura said, pulling him back into an embrace.

“Don’t worry your little head my darling,” Prince Deacon said before leaving with his brothers.

“If I may be so bold to asks for a driver and a car to take me to prince Juno’s pack so that I can let one of them  mind link him,” the uncle asked queen Lana.

“Of course,” she said, signaling one of the footmen to come closer.

The uncle arrived just before mid-day at prince Juno’s pack and they immediately mind-linked him that princess Jovita was at the castle.  Prince Juno turned the car around and speeded over as fast as the car could drive.

Prince Juno arrived back at the castle that evening, “Where is she?” He was eager to see her and hold his fated mate.

“She is this way, but I should warn you, she is not herself,” Princess Jenny said as they walked over to king Thorvald’s room.

Lady Hannah woke up early morning after spending yet another night without her husband, lord Dario. ‘It’s been two weeks, he never stays away so long at one time,’ she thought as she got out of bed.

Lady Hannah got ready for the day and on her way to the breakfast hall that all day walkers share, prince Andre catch up with her, “Good morning, lady Hannah.”

“Good morning your majesty,” she greeted him in her most formal tone.

“You could be ‘your majesty,’ as well you know,” Prince Andre made the offer of marriage that he has been making over the past four hundred years once again.

“I am happily married to a lord and don’t wish to be anything more than his ‘lady,’“ she sayid smiling politely.

Lady Hannha walked into the breakfast hall and took a seat at queen Amirah’s table, “Good morning your majesty.”

“Good morning,” Queen Amirah said, anticipating the question that lady Hannah has been asking for the past week.

“Any news from lord Dario?” Lady Hannah asked.

“No news from my side.  I suspect since princess Claire has not yet been found it is safe to assume that your husband is still out there busy with the tasks his king gave him,” Queen Amirah said, picking at her breakfast.

“Don’t worry my lady, I think king Thorvald has a new woman in his arms, Princess Jovita,” Maddie said, from the next table.

“Where are the lycan royals?” Prince Andre asked, noticing their table filled with a few people he does not recognize.

“It turns out that princess Jovita did not run off with prince Mano and that he is missing.  King Thorvald saved her from a nest of vampires and now the princess wants to have nothing to do with her actual mate, prince Juno.  He is the handsome one with the dark hair,” Maddie filled them in on who everyone was at the royal lycan table.

“So, it is believed this vampire nest also has prince Mano?” Lady Hannah asked, worried.

“Yes, but king Thorvald and his army were too late.  When they returned to save the rest of the she-wolves that were being kept captive, they were all gone.  They go every night to help the lycan's search,” Maddie explained.

“Andre, why is this the first time we hear of this?” Queen Amirah asked.

“I have been busy,” Prince Andre said.

“Busy with what?” Queen Amirah wanted to know.

“Looking for leads on my father,” Prince Andre said, standing up.

“Where are you going?” Queen Amirah demanded to know.

“To gather a few owls.  We might be the prince's last hope; we can search from the sky, an aerial view,” Prince Andre suggested.

“Not during the day.  You can leave tonight when your owl sight is best,” Queen Amirah demanded him to sit down again.

“And fall victim to the vampires?” Prince Andre said, not sitting down.

“Fine but be sure to only search and come back if you spot anything, do not take any action,” Queen Amirah said not willing to lose the only were-owl prince still alive.

Before nightfall prince Andre was back. “I think I have found the compound.  I saw a few women tied to palls but that was it. No men,” he whispered to his mother.”

“Why are you whispering?” Queen Amirah asked.

“Perhaps we should not be helping the lycans.  With them out of the way we can rule,” Prince Andre whispered again.

“Rule? And how do you suppose that is going to happen when you refuse to take a wife and produce offspring?” Queen Amirah scolded him.

“Go and tell queen Lana what you saw.  All we have now is to have a good standing with them and if you can be the result of saving their beloved son then perhaps, they will be indebted to us,” Queen Amirah ordered him.

After rolling his eyes at her, prince Andre does as he was told. Queen Lana immediately mind linked her husband and sons with the information that prince Andre gave her.

“I will go to the location and wait for your family there,” Prince Andre said, walking off and unbuttoning his shirt.  Prince Andre took off his shirt before he shifted into his owl form. Unlike lycans, any were-animal with wings need to be shirtless to prevent its wings from getting stuck in the sleeves.

Prince Andre got to the compound well after midnight again and from a tree, he watched as women got raped.  He scanned the area for any sign of prince Mano before mind linking his mother, ‘Let queen Lana know that there is still no sign of prince Mano and that her husband and sons have not arrived yet.’

‘What do you think you are doing? You should have taken our flock with you!’ Queen Amirah mind linked him back furious.

‘Why should our flog be in danger for the lycans?’ Prince Andre mind linked her back before falling to the ground, the noise from the gunshot still ringing in his delicate owl ears.

“Damn you were-owls are huge,” the vampire said, grabbing prince Andre by his one wing and dragging him towards the compound. Prince Andre felt himself slipping away and his heart struggling. ‘He must have shot me through my heart,’ he thought, fighting for his life.

“My boy, please hang on, I am coming with our flock,’ Queen Amirah mind linked him before shifting and mind linking their whole flock.

‘Mother, it is too late,’ Prince Andre mind linked her back before drifting away.

The vampire draged prince Andre into the courtyard and left him amongst the she-wolves that are all busy being raped by vampires.

“Get that thing out of here,” one vampire shouted.

“Urg, fine,” the vampire grabed him by his wing again and draged him out of the compound, “Guess I will have to take you to my own hide-out tonight still.”

The vampire picked prince Andre up and sped off.

The vampire was about to start plugging prince Andre’s feathers so that he can sell them to an enchantress when he realized that the sun was about to come up.  He shut the window shutters of his small little shack in the woods before returning to what he was about to do.

While the vampire was shutting his windows, prince Andre managed to shift into his human form.

“Where did you go?” the vampire asked, looking around.
