Chapter 124

“I assure you, my little stubborn wife-to-be, that in six months’ time you won’t even want to leave my bed,” Prince Deacon said, full of himself, padding her hand that was on his arm.

“That is no way to speak to a lady!” Emily exclaimed. She wanted to let go of his arm, but he held her hand firmly, preventing her from leaving his arm.

“I will make a queen out of you, if you let me,” Prince Deacon said as they continued their walk through the garden.

“Don’t you first have to be a King to be able to make your wife a queen?” Emiliy asked, mockingly.

“Soon enough,” Prince Deacon said in a casual tone.

“Soon enough? What is that supposed to mean?” Emily asked.

“Mother, father, meet Emily. Emily, the King, and Queen of the lycans and the Supernatural world for that matter,” Prince Deacon introduced Emily to his parents that were walking in the opposite direction.

“Please to meet you,” Emily said with a small courtesy.

The King and Queen continued their walk without saying anything back.

“I don’t think they like me very much,” Emily said, looking over her shoulder back at them.

“They don’t have to like you,” Prince Deacon snorted. ‘One day they will pay for treating me with disrespect,’ Prince Deacon thought, as he hid his anger.

“Well, if I am to marry you, then I would at least have liked for my family-in-law to like me,” Emily admitted.

“Stop worrying about what others think of you, who likes you, and who does not. It does not matter here,” Prince Deacon demanded.

Prince Deacon led Emily to a table in the garden where three young ladies were sitting, having tea at a white cast iron table with flower detail and matching chairs.

“Jayda Cummings,” Prince Deacon introduced the first lady, standing 5' 3" tall, and stout with dark skin. Jayda had a mysterious feel about her.
“Good morning,” Emily greeted, admiring her appearance. Jayda had an oval face, a turned-up nose, angled lips, and her brown eyes were little. Her brown hair was hip-length and frizzy and was styled differently every day. She usually wears dresses from this era, but today she was wearing a dress from the eighteen hundreds that appeared to be missing the boning that kept the skirt in a hoop. Emily had a feeling that Jayda was nice, and she was right. Jayda was also a discreet, rational, loyal, charming, and carefree person and her friendly smile gave that away at first sight.

“Kina Boyle” Prince Deacon said, with a show of hand. Kina standing 6' 5" tall, and stocky with brown skin, Kina has a resilient feel about her. Emily found Kina’s appearance unusual for an American, or European for that matter, but thought she looked beautiful just the same. She had a lean face with a cleft chin, a narrow nose, large lips, and her brown eyes are prominent. Her brown hair was hip-length and thick and was worn in a long braid. She usually wears perfectly pressed dresses that are mostly dark-colored, and she wore no jewelry. She was usually seen wearing a specific shawl.

“Sariyah Small,” Deacon smiled when he introduced her. Sariyah stood 5' 0" tall, and stout with tanned skin. Emily smiled politely and thought Sariyah had a pretty average feeling about her. She wondered why Prince Deacon was smiling differently when he introduced her as if they had a naughty secret. She had an oval face with a small chin, a bulbous nose, and very thin lips. Her brown eyes were angular, and she had thin eyebrows. Her hair was always up in curls on top of her head. She loved to wear dresses that are light-colored and loose and flowing, and she wore large earrings. Sariyah was friendly, systematic, and trusting, hates structure and routine, but you won't know it unless you got to know her.

These ladies all had three things in common with Emily and that was that Prince Deacon had mated with them, but unlike Emily, he un-mated with them before his inner wolf could take over and claim them by marking them. The second thing they had in common was that they all ended up at the castle, but their royal bloodline was so far back that the royals didn’t want them, and lastly, they were human.

“Ladies, meet Emily. She is new here and I trust that you will make her feel at home?” Prince Deacon said and pulled a white garden chair with flower details out for Emily to sit down.

“Mysterious Jayda Cummings, Resilient Kina Boyle, Beautiful Sariyah Small, Stubborn Emily, whose last name does not matter, as she will be taking mine soon,” Prince Deacon said with a smile as his eyes went from one to the other.

Emily rolled her beautiful blue eyes.

“I saw that,” Prince Deacon said before walking off.

“Where are you going?” Emily asked, worried about being left alone.

“I have some business to take care of, but I assure you, you are in good hands. These three ladies will tell you everything you need to know,” Prince Deacon said, turning on his heel.

“Are you girls not scared of being here? To be alone? Are you all married?” Emily asked one question after the other.

“No, we are perfectly safe here,” Jayda Cummings said, smiling sweetly.

“At least we are not getting sold off by our families,” Kina Boyle said with a snort.

“We are not married and nor do we plan to get married,” Sariyah Small said, laughing naughtily.

“Then why not go away from here?” Emily asked, wondering for whatever reason anyone would want to stay here, surrounded by monsters that drink their blood and bite.

“We are all ladies-in-waiting now and I for one, would not have it any other way.  We are free to come and go as we please and we get to stay young forever,” Sariyah said, fiddling with one of her earrings.

“What do you mean, stay young forever?” Emily asked.

“Prince Deacon has not filled you in as to how you will stay by his side forever. Do you really think he is going to let you grow old while he stays young and handsome?” Kina asked, laughing.

“He sure is handsome,” Jayda added, her mind filled with some steamy nights, wondering if she will ever have a night with Prince Deacon again, now that he has claimed a woman.

“No,” Emily said curiously.

“Well, have you met the vampires?” Sariyah asked.

“Yes,” Emily said, a hint of fear in her voice.

“Well, they drink from us, and we drink from them,” Sariyah filled her in.

“If you drink from a vampire every two to three days, you will not age,” Jayda said.

“But won't I become a vampire?” Emily asked, concerned for her precious soul.

“No. To become a vampire, you have to drink one to death and I doubt any vampire will just let you drink them to death,” Sariyah said, smiling casually.

“Would you like some tea? You look like a girl that likes to drink tea?” Kina asked, lifting a porcelain, Himalayan Blue Poppy painted teapot to pour some tea for herself.

“Yes, please,” Emily said, eager to forget the coffee she was forced to drink earlier.

“You can use my cup. One cup of tea is more than enough for me. I prefer coffee,” Jayda said, pushing her Himalayan Blue Poppy-painted porcelain teacup toward Kina so that she could pour for Emily.

“So, when is Prince Deacon making an honorable woman out of you?” Kina asked, smiling.

“I am still a virgin and I intend to stay one,” Emily said, shocked at the question.

“You are missing out,” Jayda said, smiling, thinking about all the times she laid with Prince Deacon.

Emiliy just looked at her, but the other ladies can read on her face that she had lots of questions.

“In case you are wondering; yes, we all warmed his bed, more than once,” Kina said, not ashamed.

“I think more than twenty times,” Sariyah corrected, laughing.

Emily showered her sip of tea all over herself in shock.

“Calm yourself down dear,” Jayda said, taking a white napkin that had tiny yellow flowers embroidered in the corners and padding her dress dry.

“I am so sorry. You girls gave your virtues? Willingly? Are you ladies forced?” Emily asked, fearing that she will be forced as well.
