Chapter 67

“You just got your heart broken by Eero and even though we are fated, your feelings for him won't go away until we claim each other,” Wynn told her, and grabbed his t-shirt and pulled it back on.
“You are leaving?” Ami asked. “I also have feelings for you.”
“I know how the fated mate bond work and I am not holding your feelings for Eero against you. After all, the two of you grew up together. We have all the time in the world,” Wynn said and picked up her lace bra.
Ami took it from him, her eyes lowered. “I will see you in your class.”
“Just because we are not going to have sex right now does not mean we are not going to, eventually. I just want you to be sure of yourself and your heart,” Wynn said, and picked up her shirt and held it out to her.
Ami took it from him, barely able to look up.
“Look, while you still have thoughts of Eero, especially when you are about to have sex with another man, you are clearly not ready. I want us to be perfect. Now get dressed so we can get to class,” Wynn said and walked out of the room.
When the door shut, Ami allowed herself to cry. First, she blocked Wynn out because she didn’t want him to know. Ami willed herself not to cry over Eero. ‘He does not deserve my tears,’ she thought as she put on her bra followed by her shirt. Ami walked over to her vanity and took a makeup-removing wipe to wipe her face before applying foundation to hide the red puffiness under her eyes.
Ami took a deep breath before opening her bedroom door and got a fright when she found Wynn laying against the wall, waiting for her. “Wynn?”
“Ready to go?” Wynn asked and held his hand out to her.
Ami smiled and took his hand. “I feel like a schoolgirl dating for the first time.”
“If I remember correctly, you never dated in school. You were too busy playing with Eero to notice any other boys,” Wynn chuckled.
“Rub it in, will you?” Ami snorted.
“Prepare yourself for a life of being teased,” Wynn chuckled as they walked hand in hand out of the castle.
“My car or yours?” Wynn questioned.
“Mine,” Ami smiled and walked over to her car, pulling Wynn along.
Wynn paused at her car. “Are we keeping this a secret for now?”
“Do you want to keep it a secret?” Ami wondered.
“You know me, I don’t care what the world thinks,” Wynn said, but Ami could see there was something he was not telling her.
“Out with it,” Ami chuckled, demanding to know what was on his mind.
“Jessica is your friend,” Wynn started.
“Say no more,” Ami said and got into her car. “Race you to class.”
“Last one is a loser,” Wynn chuckled and ran over to his car even though he knew speeding over to class will be faster.
“Du-hu,” Ami shook her head. ‘What else will the last one be?’ She thought and sped off.
Ami beat Wynn and waited for him in the parking lot nearest to the entrance to the building.
“What is that smile for?” Jessica asked as she and Ann, along with Katelina, walked up on their way to class themselves.
“Am I not allowed to have a good day?” Ami chuckled and hooked her arm in with Ann.
“Just find it hard to believe that you are over Eero so quick,” Jessica stated.
“Just because I am happy does not mean I am over him,” Ami said.
“You met someone, didn’t you?” Ann accused.
“Maybe,” Ami teased as they walked into the building.
“Good for you,” Jessica said, making Ami feel bad.
‘Will she be ok with me and Wynn?’ Ami wondered.
“Not again,” Jessica sighed when she saw Deacon with a bunch of blue flowers.
“Good morning, beautiful,” Deacon said and held out the blue flowers, the bunch twice the size of the day before. Deacon has been trying to give her flowers every day, and every day ends the same; Jessica takes the flowers and dumps them in the nearest dustbin.
“Please don’t dump them. They will look so pretty in our room,” Katelina pleaded.
“Michael could learn a thing or two from Deacon,” Ann chuckled.
“You can say that again,” Ann laughed.
Jessica took the flowers and pushed them into Katelina’s hands. “All yours,” Jessica said and walked into the class.
“At least they survived the dustbin,” Deacon sighed.
“Why is so mad at you?” Ann wanted to know.
“Um, well,” Deacon started, but didn’t know how to explain the situation since Ann still didn’t have her memory back.
“Class is starting,” Ami said and pulled Ann along, followed by a wink at Deacon.
“Good morning,” Wynn greeted Deacon, that was still standing outside the class, waiting for him.
“Good morning yourself. Where have you been?” Deacon asked.
“Will tell you later,” Wynn said, knowing he can trust Deacon with his secrets even though it took him a few months to tell Deacon that he could possibly be a multi-shifter.
“Good morning,” Michael greeted, arriving at class.
“Good morning,” Deacon greeted, but Wynn just nodded his head. Wynn didn’t like Michael very much because, by the time Wynn was ready to tell Deacon about his secret, Michael already beat him to it.
After classes that day, Ami went over to the higher council and waited for Wynn in his bedroom, wearing nothing and determined to make love with her fated mate.
“Ami?” Wynn gasped when he opened his bedroom door, quickly slipped in, and slammed the door shut before anyone else that was with him could see her.
“I want you,” Ami started to say with a smile when Wynn hushed her.
“Shhh. A couple of guys and I were planning to have a get-together,” Wynn explained, and looked around for her clothes.
Ami blushed and pulled the bedcovers over her naked body.
“Hold that thought,” Wynn said and decided that Ami was more important.
Wynn opened his bedroom door a little and squeezed through, fearing if he opened the door wider than Deacon and Michael will see Ami.
“Guys, change of plans,” Wynn smiled.
“Do you have a chick in there? Is Miss Wangberg still here?” Deacon chuckled and tried to push Wynn out of the way to have a look.
“Don’t,” Wynn said, sending a force against Deacon and Michael, even though he didn’t mean to use kingship authority.
“What the hell was that?” Michael questioned.
“Nothing. You guys go and enjoy your evening without me.
“Whatever,” Deacon spat, and threw his hands in the air.
“Deacon, a word please,” Wynn stopped him.
“Go ahead, will meet you in my throne room,” Deacon chuckled.
“I gave up an evening with Ann to hang out with you guys,” Michael spat and walked off, thinking he will pay Paris a visit.
“Why don’t you just use your authority on me again?” Deacon challenged.
“I didn’t mean to. My fated mate is naked on my bed and I didn’t want you to see her naked,” Wynn explained.
“No way?! You fated to a lycan again? How is that possible? I thought your wolf's side is dead,” Deacon questioned, surprised. “What about Miss Wangberg?”
“Shhh, not so loud,” Wynn hushed him. “I mated to Ami, and Lilly and I decided to keep it at fun,” Wynn said in a hushed tone.
“Ami? Like princess Ami?” Deacon confirmed.
“Yes,” Wynn confirmed. “Please, don’t tell anyone. We just want to be sure of ourselves before we announce it.”
“But that does not make sense. You have known her all her life. Why only now?” Deacon wondered.
“I knew Jessica also for a few months before I fated to her,” Wynn reminded him.
“I will leave you to it then,” Deacon said, shaking his head and left.
Wynn took a deep breath before turning around and walking back into his room.
“Ami?” Wynn questioned because she was no longer on his bed. Wynn walked over to his bathroom, thinking she might went hiding in the bathroom. “Ami?”
Wynn frowned after not finding Ami, and walked over to his balcony. ‘She must have flown off,’ he thought and wished he knew how to fly but in order, to do that, he has to kill a snow owl and drink its blood straight from its heart or in this case just eat the whole heart since it is so small. Wynn also knew if he wanted to be a lycan again, all he had to do was kill and drink the blood of a Mackenzie valley wolf straight from its heart. There was one thing that was worrisome to Wynn and that was that he could part shift into a lycan, meaning a werewolf, but he does not have any memory of ever killing a werewolf in werewolf form and drinking its blood straight from its heart. Werewolf went distinctly after the supernatural war and Wynn was not about to share with anyone of his ability.
Wynn left his room to go look for Ami and by the time he knocked on her bedroom door, she slipped through the secret door that came from a space between the walls, and from the walls, she knew the path to every secret door and two whose room it led. Deacon, Wynn, and almost everyone staying at the higher council might be older than Ami but along with all the hunters was the only ones that knew about the secrets in the wall, and, of course, Torvald.
