Chapter 204
After dinner over some red wine, princess Freda and Emily started to talk about the baby Emily stole from the council, believing it was Zara’s and prince Deacon's but was told by Phoebe that it was actually prince Mano’s child.
“Asks her,” Princess Freda encouraged Emily to talk to Michelle, agreeing that Michelle looked a lot like the royal lycan family.
“Did you grow up with this pack that enslaved you?” Princess Freda asked, no longer able to keep her curiosity at bay.
“No, I lived half a day walk from them and I never even knew it. Some of their members just showed up at my house one day and claimed that I have to pay for living on their territory and called me a rogue,” Michelle explained.
“And your parents?” Emily finally spoke up.
“My father disappeared, my mother killed herself not able to cope with the loss of my twin brother,” Michelle said, sadness on her face.
Emily gulped air, ‘I did not mean for her to have a horrible life,’ she thought, realizing that Michelle must be the baby she stole.
“I am so sorry to hear this and for everything that has happened to you. No child should lose their parents or their siblings,” Emily said.
“It is ok, I am ok. My parents always resented me, I guess it was because I looked nothing like them, and my twin brother apparently did. They always made me feel as if they wished it was me that died instead of him,” Michelle thought back taking a big sip of red wine.
“That must be horrible,” Phoebe said, thinking back at her own childhood, how she always got the feeling that queen Lana, who she thought was her grandmother, made her feel that they would have rather it be her being kidnaped by Emily instead of the other royals; only she came to learn since then that Emily never did kidnap the princesses that night.
“The day I was enslaved by this pack I mated with a man, and we tried several times to un-mate, but it didn’t work. He explained to me that it might be because I am not whom I believe I am, claiming that I must be a princess of some sort,” Michelle explained, half laughing at the idea.
“Was this man a prince?” Princess Freda asked.
“At the moment, no, but he told me that he uses to be a prince and the former alpha took him in after his family died in the Supernatural war,” Michelle thought back at that crazy day her life changed.
Emily looked at Zuberi and Zuberi knew what Emily wanted her to do.
“There is a way to find out exactly who you are, but I fear we might scare you,” Zuberi said.
“I definitely want to know,” Michelle said, eager to know.
“I will have to drink your blood,” Zuberi said carefully.
“You are a hybrid?” Michelle asked, shocked as she didn’t pick it up.
“No, I am a vampire but not a nightwalker, I was born this way,” Zuberi explained.
“I am a lycan; won't it make you sick to drink from me?” Michelle asked as she remembered the hybrid telling her one day that vampires can't drink lycans.
“Natural-born vampires can drink from anything, and vampires can also drink from us,” Zuberi explained.
“I have never heard of it,” Michelle said.
“No one really knows about us and if they do, they will try to kill us. King Thorvald created an army of hunters just for us,” Zuberi said.
“Princess Freda is a natural-born hybrid, Emily is a made vampire, my grandmother is what they call a prehistoric vampire, and I am a natural-born hybrid,” Phoebe explained.
Zuberi drank from Michelle and afterward explained to Michelle that the heartache she was feeling was because her fated mate died.
“How do you know that?” Michelle asked.
“That nightmare you think you had was not a nightmare. It appears Ankok, Angakok, right?” Zuberi confirmed.
“Yes, Angakok and if he is dead then it serves him right. Will I get a new mate now?” Michelle asked, hoping that if there was a next one that he will have some backbone.
“Yes, you will get a new one but since you are a princess you might have to wait many years as blue blood is in short supply,” Zuberi said, holding her palm out to Emily.
Emily sank her teeth into Zuberi to see what Zuberi saw when she drank from Michelle. Emily recognized Michelle’s father as the man she gave the princess to and the familiar cabin.
“You are the princess I stole from the higher council,” Emily said softly after retracting her fangs.
“So instead of having a royal life with loving parents, I got a horrible life with parents that resented me?” Michelle asked, half angry.
“I did not mean for you to have a bad life,” Emily explained, feeling sick to her stomach.
“How did they even believe that I am their child, did you compel them?” Michelle wondered.
“Yes, I did,” Emily admitted the obvious.
“Princess Zoe Makens,” Phoebe said, remembering the name that was written on her tombstone.
“I think it is best we stick to Michelle for now. It might be best if you travel for a bit,” Zuberi suggested, fearing that the pack that enslaved Michelle might already know where she was as Zuberi saw the alpha looking through her former fated mate’s eyes.
“Why? What did you see?” Michelle asked.
“The alpha of that pack and I am not sure just how much he saw and when,” Zuberi said.
“I will travel with you. I will show you the world,” Phoebe said, excited.
“What about our plans?” Emily asked.
“Plans?” Michelle asked.
“Revenge on the council,” Zuberi intersected.
“But they are my family and I want to go there first,” Michelle said.
“The council is not the best place for a princess. You will be forced into marriage and made to have babies,” Emily informed her.
“It is still my family, and I would like to meet my parents,” Michelle said.
“Your mother died shortly after giving birth to you. The council believes that Emily killed both of you,” Zuberi said, putting her hand on Michelle’s.
“And my father?” Michelle asked.
“We would have grown up as sisters,” Phoebe smiled. “I have never met him though. After my mother was executed by the queen he went rogue and the last news we received from the council is that he is still missing,” Phoebe explained.
“I still want to meet them,” Michelle said.
“First you are going to go travel, I will send word when we are rid of the pack that has enslaved you,” Zuberi said.
The next day Phoebe and Michelle started their journey that was filled with adventure.
One day before boarding the train in Europe to travel through the continent, Phoebe decided to go check in with her grandmother since she has not heard from her for a while, “You take care of yourself, and I will catch up with you in two or three days.”
“Hurry back,” Michelle wrapped her arms around Phoebe before steeling an intimate kiss, not caring who saw but thankfully no one on the platform did.

“Earth to Michelle,” Marco’s voice jerked Michelle back to the present.
“You are saying?” Michelle asked for him to repeat himself.
“Do you want to join me for dinner?” Marco asked.
“Thank you for asking but I will have dinner in here if you don’t mind me eating in the cabin,” Michelle declined.
“Not at all,” Marco said, leaving the cabin.
Marco got to the fancy dining area on the train and was in awe at the décor and how the rich lived.
Marco told himself that he will have at least one fancy dinner on the train. After dinner he was drinking his cup of coffee, taking extra long just to have an excuse to be in luxury a little longer when he almost choked on his coffee, “Anse?”
Anse turned around to face him, her hands filled with a cleaning tray and cloth, “Hello my love.”
Marco got up and walked over to her. Anse put the items down before allowing him to pick her up and swirl her around, “What are you doing here? Cleaning?”
“Got a job on the train. I was going to come and find you as soon as I was done for the day,” Anse said before kissing him.
“Your dad allowed this?” Marco asked, looking around for her bodyguards.
“Of course not silly, I ran away,” Anse whispered.
“When will you be done for the day?” Marco asked.
“As soon as the guy that is taking forever to finish his coffee finishes up,” Anse joked.
“I am done, but mind if I wait here for you?” Marco asked, still in shock and so happy he could jump out of his skin.
