Chapter 146

‘What are you doing here? How did you find me?’ Prince Deacon opened his mind to mind link his father. Prince Deacon looked over at Wynn, knowing besides Lord Dario, Wynn was the only other person that knew where he was.

‘I had nothing to do with it, I promise,’ Wynn mind linked Prince Deacon.

‘Take Emily and run,’ Lord Deacon mind linked Wynn as they slowly walked towards his parents.

‘No, bring her,’ his mother mind linked.

“I should be angry at you, but right now I am scared,” Emily whispered.

Prince Deacon could feel her fear and her mind. “I am so sorry, my darling.”

“I see you got married again,” Queen Lana said.

Wynn looked over at Princess Freda still standing at the front of the church and hoped that they won't catch her scent.

“You can hardly consider a supernatural wedding legit,” Prince Deacon said, holding on to Emily, knowing he should run and get her out of there.

“It is time for you to come home,” King Makens said.

“Why? You don’t need me there. My life is here now,” Prince Deacon said.

“You will be a father one of these days,” Queen Lana said, smiling mockingly.

“What are you talking about?” Prince Deacon challenged.

“Zara conceived the night you consummated your marriage with her,” Queen Lana said loudly for everyone in the church to hear.

‘Now come quietly or I will have everyone in this church killed,’ Queen Lana mind linked him.

‘Fine,’ Prince Deacon mind linked, following his parents.

“Not her. She is not coming with us,” Queen Lana said.

“She is my wife,” Prince Deacon protested.

“Not in our eyes,” Queen Lana said, snarling.

“You should go; after all, it is not like we can be together now since you have a child on the way,” Emily said, pulling her hand from his, tears burning in her eyes.

Prince Deacon blocked his mind from his parents again, and mind linked Wynn. ‘Take care of Emily. Meet me at my farmhouse where Benjamin and Deserey are from.’

Prince Deacon turned to face Emily and put his hand on her cheek and leaned in to kiss her but Emily turned her face away.

As Prince Deacon stepped out of the church, he was greeted by a powerful shaman. His brothers held him while the shaman yanked the shaman necklace from his neck.

‘Wynn, they are going to kill all of you!’ Prince Deacon mind linked Wynn when he saw an eclipse, realizing that they planned this and that they must have known about Emily for some time now. Shysie climbed out of a car that had curtains over the window to keep the light out.

“Obey your parents,” Shysie compelled him before walking into the church to kill everyone inside.

“Please don’t do this,” Prince Deacon pleaded with Shysie.

Shysie walked past him, cold as ice, compelled by a Prehistoric Vampire, King Torvald. A Prehistoric Vampire’s greatest ability was the fact that they can compel anything and anyone, including other vampires.

“Now join our pack again,” King Makens demanded, and prince Deacon did as his father ordered, against his will.

“Let’s go, we will leave as soon as it is night,” Queen Lana said, walking towards one of the cars.

Prince Deacon obeyed, silent tears falling down his face.

Prince Deacon got into the car, and his parents followed him. Only the three of them and the driver were taking that specific car.

“Don’t try to run,” Queen Lana said when she saw Prince Deacon’s mind.

Prince Deacon focused on Emily’s mind while he looked out of the window, trying to show his parents one thing while he planned his next move.

Inside the church, Shysie was killing everyone she laid her eyes on making her way to Emily. Wynn knew his sister could be a monster sometimes, but right that moment he was looking at the devil herself. Princess Freda just witness the crazy woman killing Emily’s father and her siblings and knew she had to save Emily as the woman was obviously there to end Emily. Princess Freda sped over and blocked Shysie’s path.

“Get out of my way or I will end you,” Shysie spat.

Wynn sped over to grab Princess Freda and get her out of there, but Princess Freda would have none of it. “Save Emily, I will save my mother.”

“Shysie! Stop this madness! You have killed little children! Stop this!” Wynn pleaded, grabbing his sister, his eyes on Emily kneeling over her dead siblings. Her white wedding dress was stained with her family’s blood.

“I have been compelled, I cannot stop,” Shysie said, regret in her voice.

Wynn ripped his shaman necklace from his neck and pushed it into her hand while hyming the shaman hymn to release Shysie from the compelling. “How is it even possible?”

“Only a prehistoric could have done it but even with the compelling lifted, I don’t remember seeing a face,” Shysie lied. ‘King Thorvald is a Prehistoric but why would he do the royal lycans bidding by compelling me?’ Shysie thought before speeding off. Outside the church, only half of the eclipse was left but it was enough to allow Shysie to escape from the horror she inflicted.

Princess Freda looked around for her mother. “Mother?”

Wynn compelled all the survivors before kneeling over Princess Bently’s dead body. “My love, I am so sorry.” Wynn was joined by Princess Freda. “Mother?!” Princess Freda placed her face on her mother's, crying.

With the survivors gone a terrible death silence fell over the church with only Emily’s sobs hanging in the air, the smell of the dead filling their nostrils.

Princess Freda stood up, composing herself, wiping the tears off her face. “We need to make a plan with Emily. I don’t know what just happened, but it was clear that lunatic woman is a vampire and was here to kill Emily,” she stated, her voice shaking.

“That lunatic woman is your aunt, my twin sister and she was compelled,” Wynn said, picking Princess Bently up.

“What are you doing?” Princess Freda asked, looking at her mother's lifeless body, fresh tears running down her face.

“I am not leaving her in this mess, she deserves better,” Wynn said, tears flowing freely down his own face.

“You should have made her a vampire. Too late to cry now,” Princess Freda said, trying to wipe the tears that did not want to stop, off her face.

“She didn’t want to be one,” Wynn said, thinking Princess Freda reminded him so much of her aunt, his sister.

“So, she knew about you?” Princess Freda asked, shocked.

“No, but I did try and then after her panic I compelled her to forget it,” Wynn said, wishing he just turned her into a vampire.

“It doesn’t matter, it is not that easy to turn someone into a vampire,” Wynn said, walking out of the church.

“You have to leave her. How will you explain her death?” Princess Freda stopped him even though she didn't really want to leave her mother in the mess.

“How are we going to explain all of this?” Wynn asked.

“We are not. We are going to take Emily and leave. A freak animal attacked right after the bride and groom left and we escaped to tell the tale,” Princess Freda said, composing herself.

“Always a plan in mind,” Wynn said, wondering how such a cold-hearted person was his offspring. ‘She will rather pass as Shysie’s daughter than mine.’

“I got it from my mother,” Princess Freda said, looking at her mother’s face, eyes still open.

Wynn realized that she was right and put Princess Bently down before walking over to Emily. “We have to go.”

“Leave me,” Emily said in pain.

“They will come for you again,” Wynn said, putting his arms around her to help her stand up.

“Do you think I care? Prince Deacon did this. This is all his fault. Why didn’t he just let me be?” Emily asked, resenting Prince Deacon. ‘I never thought it possible to hate and love someone at the same time,’ Emilly thought to herself, forcing the eyes of her siblings closed.

“What are we going to do? They are going to come for her,” Princess Freda said, not willing to lose Emily.

“You worry about me? Your mother died,” Emily said, confused as to why Princess Freda was so calm and collected with all the dead around her.

“Can we get out of here,” Princess Freda asked, barely able to resist sinking her teeth into Emily as all the blood around her, enticed her.

“Go back to your house I will meet you there,” Wynn said, realizing the problem Princess Freda was facing.

“The authorities will come for us, they know there was a wedding here, my wedding, how do we explain us surviving?” Emily asked coldly.

“We have to burn the place down,” Wynn suggested.

“They deserve better than this!” Emily said furiously.

“What do you want from me?!” Wynn shouted out, frustrated.

“Nothing, just go,” Emily said.

Wynn realized that the sun has set and sped off, wondering where he will find a vampire that he can bleed to death and turn Emily into a vampire, knowing it was the only way that the bond between Prince Deacon and her will break.
