Chapter 15
“Yes, and woman hunters that leave have to leave some eggs. This gets implanted into a willing female hunter or a human female. The human females normally stay the parent of the children she bears. Most of these women are women that could not conceive under normal circumstances.”
“Well, am I allowed to meet the Willows?” Ann asked, now sure that she might be related.
“I will ask my mother,” Ami said, a bit distracted by the view of Eero.
“Your boyfriend?” Ann asked, noticing Ami looking at a young guy.
“No! I wish!” Ami said, blushing.
“Eero is a hunter. He will be leaving soon. Eero Willow,” Ami said, her face looking slightly sad.
“Willow? Let’s go asks your mother right now if I can meet my family!” Ann said, excited.
“It is almost lunchtime. We can ask her then,” Ami said, wondering if she will be in trouble for talking too much.
Jessica spent a great deal of her morning meeting important council members, trying her best to memorize their names and titles. Jessica was so happy when it was time for lunch. “I will go look for my friends and have lunch with them.”
King Juno and Queen Jovita were worried to let her out of their sight but knew that it will give them time with the rest of the council members, to feel them out and look for any hints whether they are buying into their lie or not.
Eero Willow was well built and tall. His hair was dark brown, almost black, and his skin was golden brown from spending so much time outdoors. He just got out of the shower after their morning training session. With just a towel wrapped around him, he admired his appearance in the mirror, flexing his muscles. Eero only noticed Ami in the doorway when she giggled at him flexing his muscle.
“You want some of this?” Eero teased, turning to face her, flexing his muscles some more. Eero was extremely fond of Ami. They grew up together, and they have been best friends as long as he can remember.
Eero chased Ami playfully around the locker rooms that the male hunters used. They have been playing this game ever since Eero started to look more like a man than a boy. Eero was never sure if Ami liked him in a romantic way, but if she did, she was not showing it.
Eero has had plenty of girlfriends, but never Ami. He was in love with her, but he won’t tell her as he does not want to make a fool out of himself, ‘she probably won't settle for anyone that is not of royal blood.”
Eero finally got hold of Ami and together they stumbled to the floor, Ami landing on top of Eero, ‘if only he knew how much I desire him. I wonder if he would reject me if I am just to kiss those thin, perfectly shaped lips.’
Ami was staring a bit too long into his golden-brown eyes, “see anything you like?” she heared the words, dropping her eyes onto his lips and his pearly white teeth.
Ami quickly pushed herself off Eero. “Would you like to meet a human sibling of yours?”
Eero got off the floor, disappointed and embarrassed that he just made a move, twice in the last moments, and got rejected both times. “what are you talking about?”
“A human girl, 18 years old, arrived here last night, Ann Willow.”
“What makes you think we are related?” Eero turned his back to Ami, dropped his towel that was already party undone.
Ami was used to Eero getting dressed in front of her. She secretly admired his tight ass. “Her father is a hunter.”
“I see, what does the council think about it?” Eero asked, as he got dressed, noticing Ami looking at him from the corner of his eye, ‘perhaps if I build even more muscle, she will see me more of a man, worthy of her,’ he thought to himself.
“Well, my mother and Andre let her in so surely they are ok with her being here. I have not asked yet if she can meet all of you. I figured since you are the oldest, I should ask you first.” Ami felt herself get wet between her legs from the beautiful sight in front of her. She abruptly stood up, no longer wanting to torture herself. “I will see you at lunch. I will bring Ann with.”
“Dammit!” Eero tossed his towel in the laundry basket. Fully dressed, he looked at himself in the mirror again. ‘Why do other girls fall at my feet, but I cannot get this one girl? The one that has always had my heart?’ He shook his head at himself.
Ami reached the garden where lunch was set up. She saw her mother talking to Ann and her friends.
Queen Amirah explained to them that they will be eating with the Hunters so that Ann can meet her siblings, “I have spoken to your father and he said that it is fine. He is a bit angry that you are here without permission, but I explained to him that I will take care of you.”
Ann quickly took out her phone and send her father a message, ‘SORRY.’ It surprised her that he did not phone her yet. ‘He must be furious.’
The various groups of hunters arrived, all sitting at their own family tables. A group of seven boys and two women joined Ann, Jessica, and William.
Queen Amirah introduced the boys, ranging from age two to 19, Eero being the 19-year-old. With the boys were their hunter mother and a hunter girl from another family. Ann noticed the girl was very touchy with Eero and then thought about Ami. ‘Suppose this girl is the reason why Ami cannot be with Eero.’
“I am Stella, Eero’s girlfriend,” the girl with long strawberry brown eyes and light freckles over her nose introduced herself.
Ann noticed that she was as well build as the boys. ‘Must be that they all train the same,’ she thought to herself.
The younger kids did not care to shake her hand. They just immediately sat at the table and started to eat as if they had not been fed in days.
Stella, even though she greeted Ann she ignored Ann’s extended hand. Eero felt a bit embarrassed for Ann’s sake and reach out and took her hand to greet her. He felt the hunter's strength rise in him.
“Ow! You are hurting me!” Ann cried, feeling her bones crack under his grip. She tried to pull her hand away, tears forming in her eyes.
“Where is your friend?” Eero asked, not releasing his grip.
“Hey, let her go!” William tried, but Eero just shoved him to the side. William lost his footing and hit a table behind him.
Jessica felt her inner wolf ripping through her bones, transforming into a werewolf, unable to control herself. She growled at Eero and charged for his neck, but before she could get to him, her mother jumped her and forced her to the side with the help of the royal werewolf brothers.
Everyone got to their feet. Eero’s mother tried to calm him down, but it does not work.
Out of nowhere, a man appeared behind Eero and knocked him out. It was Kenton Malik, as tall as Eero, but appearance like his niece, Stella. The Malik family trained the hunters and Kenton 40, with his father 64, and his mother Serina 61 was all trained by Kenton’s grandfather, who died from old age. The Maliks are the oldest and only naturally conceived hunter bloodline alive.
“Uncle!” Stella ran to Eero’s side. She cooped his face with both her hands. “Eero!”
Ami kneeled next to Eero’s other side. She felt for his pulse. “Eero,” she said softly.
“I have him. Go away, Ami,” Stella demanded.
Ami had equal rank to Stella as the Maliks were also considered royals. Ami bit her tongue and left the scene, pulling a crying Ann away. “Come, I will take you to the infirmary.”
William was helped up by the hunters; whose table he got slammed into. One of the girls was making sure he was ok.
Queen Jovita was coaching Jessica back to calmness so that she could shift back into her human form. The other lycans, including the royal brothers, made a circle around Jessica so that she can have some privacy. King Juno pulled a tablecloth off a table so fast that the plates stayed in their place. He covered a shifting Jessica.
Jessica wrapped the tablecloth around her and together with her mother, left the garden to go to her room. “You stay here and sort this mess out,” Queen Jovita told her husband.
Eero opened his eyes, “Ann has Prehistoric Vampire blood in her! Vampire blood only stays in a human’s body for about three days, so that means she was in contact with a prehistoric in the past three days!”
Eero got to his feet and shook off a clingy Stella. It disappointed him not to see Ami at his side. ‘Whatever,’ he thought to himself as he made his way out of the garden with the rest of the hunters.
“I think it best if we hunters stay away from the human girl until her blood is cleared from the Prehistoric Vampire’s blood. I will inform the council and one of them will find out how long ago she drank from the Prehistoric. After that, I will personally deal with it.” Kenton said, with authority.
By the time Ann and Ami got to the infirmary, Ann’s hand was already healed.
“I swear it felt like he broke my bones! Now it is like nothing happened,” Ann flexed her hand in disbelieve.
“If you have vampire blood in you, then it is possible for you to heal so quickly,” Ami said, turning around.
“Where are you going?” Ann asked, scared to be alone.
“Well, you are all better. I need to go check on Eero. “By the way, I would stay out of sight if I where you, Prehistoric Vampires are forbidden to be alive.”
Ann watches as Ami walked away, leaving her alone. Feeling scared, she quickly walked into the first door she could find not wanting to be in the wide-open passage.
The door shut behind Ann. Ann found herself in complete darkness. She felt around for a light switch and found it quickly. She switched it on, only to find herself in what seemed like a medium-size entryway with another door. She felt the door knob and slowly turned it to open the door, but the door was locked. She took out her phone to call Jessica but then remembered she just saw Jessica turn into a wolf, so it was probably best to try William.
“Ann, where are you? Are you ok?” William's voice braught calmness to Ann’s raising heart.
“Near the infirmary, I think. Please come get me. I am scared. Ami just left me alone.”
“Where is the infirmary?” William asked the first person he saw.
“This way,” Prince Andre answered from behind William.
“Now normally I am not out and about near hunters, but my mother said that Ann got herself into a bit of trouble,” Andre said, making his way out of the garden towards the infirmary.
“That guy hurt her. She did nothing,” William retorted.
“I hear she has prehistoric blood in her. Know anything about that? Maybe you enjoyed the company of a Prehistoric Vampire as well?” Andre tried to fish out.
“I did not even know there are such things as Prehistoric Vampires. What does that even mean?” William answered truthfully.
“Well, the last ice age started 30 000 years ago, so I think any Vampire that was trapped in the ice then,” Andre answered, now wondering himself, but he was wrong about the timeline.
“Why are they a problem?” William asked, not really understanding why the hunter went into such a rage.
“Unlike today's vampires, they are not civilized. They can compel anyone and anything, even vampires. Most of them were born vampires. Truth be told, we have never kept one alive to ask. It is not like they would understand us in any case as they make sounds to talk,” Andre said as they reached the infirmary.
